After seeing enough episodes of Robot Chicken, I can definitely say that the show is definitely work watching for fifteen minutes. Why is it fifteen minutes? When they interviewed the creators of Robot Chicken, the animations are done by freeze framing after each pose. It takes a whole day to come up with fifteen seconds of footage. Which means it takes four days to come up with a minute of footage. Mathematically, it would take up to sixty days which is about two months to create a single episode of Robot Chicken.
The effort was well worth it. I've never seen so much humor packed into a fifteen minute episodes. This is something definitely for the adults. Which is why it's put on the Cartoon Network nighttime segment called Adult Swim. But if you're a teenager, you can still watch the show. Each skit on the show spoofs just about almost every movie, TV show, videogame, etc.
As a child living in the early 80's and 90's you'd remember the good ol' claymations such as Gumbi. It's as if claymations were revived for a new generation. Think of Robot Chicken as the art of claymation boosted on steroids. If you're into dark humor and spoofs, Robot Chicken is definitely something you should watch.
Unlike most animated series, the creators got A-class star power like Rachel Leigh Cook, Mark Hamill, Seth McFarlane, and Sarah Michelle Gellar to do the voice overs.
If you can afford it, I recommend buying the whole season of Robot Chicken on DVD.
Robot Chicken fully revitalizes and reinvents the arts of stop-animation and claymation. From the 13+ crowd, Robot Chicken as something for everybody.
