"So... This is my new school?" The blondie looked from the street to his new school, the not-so-shiny Public High School #259. It had a shitty name, but a big reputation, which was undoubtedly why he was here. He and his rather loaded stepfather had never quite gotten along, so it seemed that the man's money had sent him to this place. For academics? Hell no. This place wasn't an amazing academic center. It didn't even have a proper name. No. This was a disciplinary center, through and through. A paragon of the corporal punishment, a high school built on brutality. Of course, he wasn't supposed to make it through his years without being reformed. That was what the school was for.
Idiot.
It was Sunday, so there'd likely be nobody around. But it'd be best to become familiar with the campus proper before having to rush about halls trying to find classes. So he began to casually walk around the grounds, paying just enough attention to everything so that he wouldn't be clueless the next day. He'd heard a lot of the school once he had begun to care. Some of the strongest fighters in the nation were here, and none of them had exited their prime. Most had yet to reach their prime, in fact. People who could break walls with a single punch, light their bodies on fire without being harmed, and still others who would scoff at those people as if they were still far too weak. It was fascinating. It was the pinnacle of destructive power. And he was but a mentalist in a school drowning with physical power.

Emily laid down on the grass in the school gardens not so far from the gate. The Janitors had well closed the building the music room she practiced in the other day, and she somewhat left one of her notebooks inside.
It would be a ton of trouble for her to knock the door down... and besides... it wouldn't be long until enforcers would know who did it and beat the crap out of her. Jeez, wish they could just... totally disappear; never to return to existence.
Sure there were some notable enforcers who do their job reasonably and as democratic as it was supposed to be... but hell has rotted over and nature of their job took over, causing them to be generally abusive sets of thugs who'd do anything to keep whom they deem as insolent in line.
Hopefully, these kind of things would not be like this in the next few years of her stay here in Public High School #259.
It wasn't the best school around, but certainly something to be reckoned with within the area.
...
There had been a lot of transfers and new students lately; do these guys actually know what they're getting themselves into? Emily sure didn't when she first came here... though, one could say she was one of the lucky few whom stayed invisible from the enforcer's eyes for the first few months of her stay.
Mmm...
Emily sighed, staring at the blue sunday skies. Aye, it was a beautiful day... and she just came from her mass about an hour ago. ...
The catholic churches in this part of the world are pretty lame.
... yet another sigh.
How troublesome.

Eh, big campus, but rather standard. At least as far as high schools went. All the facilities, plenty of classrooms, and far enough from the normal pedestrians that the screams wouldn't be heard. Tough walls too, maybe to try and counter those students with wall-smashing power. Either way, the place was for lack of a better description, built like a minimum security prison.
He was making his way for the gate again when he noted the lump of something at the garden. He squinted his eyes a little behind his black frames and finally noticed what it was. It was a GIRL! Okay, ordinarily, it was no big deal. But it was a Sunday, so seeing anyone other than perhaps a grounds keeping crew was out of the ordinary. So he had two real options at this point. The first was to ignore this like any normal person and just go on his merry way. The second was to somehow take advantage and, if anything, have a fun story to tell later. The choice was obvious.
Deryk was quiet as he crept up on the girl, making sure to stay out of her potential sight range. It was like sneaking in a game of Metal Gear Solid... Minus the cardboard box. He could manage though. And as she was looking up into the blue skies, he appeared, wearing a carefree (or careless, depending on the viewpoint) grin on his face. "Yo! What's up?"

One thing absolutely wonderful about grass.
They make noise when people are about to come your way to disturb that underappreciated silence that came ever so rarely to PHS259.
"Yo! What's up?" said a young man, probably just as old as she was.... who just entered her field of vision all of the sudden. This supposed surprise attack didn't come off as one though, considering the racket his feet made.
"Mmm, Nothing... just relaxing." she told him, eyes still focused upwards.

How... Boring... No surprise, no real recognition, nothing. He was looking for a good story, not a normal encounter. It was lame, and it immediately depressed him, just a little bit. Seriously, what did it take to spark a fun response around this place? It was supposed to be PHS #259, a school constantly in chaos. And there was that girl, not even really paying attention to him. Maybe he just picked the wrong target. Not like there had been any others to choose from.
Or was there?
Nope. Screw it.
They seemed to know each other, so he was just gonna leave. Why be a third wheel? "Eh... Frag it. I'm gone..." He sighed to himself, beginning his casual walk past the boy and his less-than-pint-sized yapper. He loved dogs, but in his suddenly dejected mood, he was just not going to bother with the small things in life. There was bound to be a Task Force happening soon, since it was getting close to prime-time for his favorite MMORPG. If he hurried, he'd be able to find a cyber-cafe or something.

" Hey Emily Good morn out isent it"
...!?
She knew that voice.
... and that meant.
"AHHH!!!" Emily screamed out, quickly standing up and running towards the direction of the newcomer whom had greeted her just a moment ago. "Dammit, Dots!"
Emily's eyes were flushed with shock and obvious terror. Well... not phobia-terror... just... a very apparent uneasiness towards the small and otherwise, cute, animal.
Emily shuddered and hid behind the boy, obviously shaking. "Don't do that! You know I don't like dogs!"
