Appearance:
Dubbed as a very pretty girl by her peers and family. With her hair almost never tied up, it flows behind her as she walks. She wears a sun hat on the sunniest of days when she takes walks around the area or goes shopping for food. Her complexion is clear, and her skin not dark nor pale.
Her neck and shoulders are average for that of a fourteen-year-old girl. Her build is pretty much petite, as most asian girls are. Her arms and legs aren't long, but aren't stubby either, keeping her in proportion to her height. As she plays the piano, her nails are cut short. Her stomach is as flat as a flat rock. She doesn't really have muscles as she never really needed them.
Her main attire consists of just about anything that is comfortable and fits her. She prefers dresses and skirts opposed to pants and tight tops. She will wear tights when wearing a skirt. Most of her clothing is just a little bit big for her since she finds it hard to find clothing that properly fits her. The colours red and white suit her best.
Her style of dressing is quite relaxed, unless there's an event that really requires her to dress up. Her bag, which holds things she needs for school or things she needs when she goes out, is a red, leather, sling bag with the letters "M.E.I" sewn on with white fabric.
She mostly wears sandals or slippers when not at school, as she doesn't like having to tie up shoe laces. But when at school, she wears proper shoes for protection.
Personality:
Mira is kind, caring, friendly towards all. Though she looks a little air-headed if you don't know her. She's not quiet, and she's not loud. She's a bit random at times, but it comes off as cute. She places trust in the people closest to her, and those that have proven themselves worthy of her trust. She's sensitive, and ignoring or bullying her can change her opinion of a person drastically. She will stand her ground if asked to smoke, take drugs or something of the sort. She knows what is bad and will stay away from people that do things like that. She's influenced quite easily by people she likes.
Upon the first meeting with someone, she's rather shy and self-conscious. She doesn't like to offend people or do things that would make them think less of her. Most of her time is spent indoors, doing domestic chores, playing or composing music, drawing, studying or taking a nap. She enjoys playing RPGs for console games, but doesn't usually play unless it's the weekend or on a holiday. To her, Cleanliness is happiness.
She's Christian, but only goes to church on a special occasion such as Easter or Christmas. When there are people she doesn't like, she just ignores them for an extended period of time. She doesn't use vulgar words, and isn't that interested in romance between herself and others. She does, however, like romantic dramas and movies.
Her worst habit would be that she tends to point out the obvious without realizing it. Then after realizing it, tries to take it back. She can also be a little childish, though not often as she's usually too occupied studying or doing something progressive to have time to be childish. She complains a lot, but only half the time does she really mean it. Rather easy going, but can get very irritated if you bug her while shes busy.
She's a typical asian teen girl, really. One that likes watching dramas and listening to music. Chattering with her friends about things going on at school is something she does regularly. She's a fan of many anime series' and mangas. Though she complains about studying, she works hard on it, determined not to get a low-paying job after high school.
History:
Mira Jing Meixue was born on the 6th of December, 1993 at a hospital in Brisbane, Australia. After her first birthday, She and her parents, along with her older brother and sister moved to Singapore since her father had acquired a new job there. They weren't rich, but definitely not poor. They lived in a house - a rather huge one - with three storeys. Her parents would go to work in the early morning, and her siblings to school. That left her with the maid to take care of her in the large house.
The girl would mostly just sit against a large pillow that was standing upright against the wall of her room and stare at objects most of the day. When she was at that age, everyone had thought that she would grow up mentally incapable. It seemed as if she'd just do nothing for the entire day. In actual fact, she just found the different colours of things in her room very beautiful. The maid didn't mind her being like that at all. It just meant that Mira was less of a hassle to take care of.
When Mei was around two and three - the years that she could walk and speak, she often wandered around the house for things to do. Sometimes she would roll her ball around, or play with blocks. Just doing what any little kid would do. She watched TV sometimes. Her favourite show being the teletubbies.
But when she was Four, her older sister, who was six, wanted to learn the piano. Her parents bought a grand piano, and Mei's sister started to learn to play. Mei liked the piano too, and when no one was around, she would sit on the seat and play around with the notes. Her sister taught her to read notes and which notes were which after seeing that Mei wanted to play too.
But their parents weren't too keen on paying for their four-year-old who would probably forget everything by the next day, learn an instrument. Within a week, Mei started playing simple pieces by herself, spending the whole day at the piano. Her parents were shocked after hearing the girl play a minuet by Bach that was a piece that her sister wouldn't learn for another year. It seemed that Mei was born a musical genius. They paid for Mei's lessons from then on.
She kept taking lessons throughout her years of primary education. She practiced everyday and studied her schoolwork very hard without her parents having to tell her to. She even started learning to cook with their maid teaching the girl how. When she was seven, she started learning the piano with a big group of people - all who were talented at learning their chosen instrument. She'd made many friends from the Saturday music classes. Her closest friend was Jiayi, a boy who played the violin. The two often hung out together but she noticed he nearly never talked of his family.
One day, seeing as the boy'd left his violin at the place they held the music classes, Mei had taken his violin to his house after getting his address off the teacher. When she arrived at his house, she was stunned. He lived in a small house that reeked of alcohol and blood. She opened the door silently, hearing screaming from the back. Jiayi was at the back of the house, being hit with broken bottles, courtesy of his own parents. The girl didn't know what to do, and without properly thinking it over, she grabbed his hand and ran.
The boy lived with her for a week and the two stayed at home the entire time - both taking temporary leave from school. On Saturday, both attended their music class though. But when they returned, Jiayi's parents stood infront of Mei's house. Mei's burning house. The police, an ambulance and firemen had come very quickly. Her father had been in the house at the time, and died. Her mother had been out, so she was safe. The maid had died as well, but her two siblings had gone missing.
Jiayi's parents were arrested and the boy was put in the care of his relatives. Mei and her mother moved to Perth in Australia, thinking it to be safer to continue their lives there. Mei finished her primary education where she'd learnt to speak japanese as well as more proper english, and attended Perth Modern school for a year. She learned dance at school. Life was going well until a man appeared at their house during the end of year holidays.
The man was Jiayi's father - Ming, who had escaped imprisonment and had come to kill Mei. Jiayi's mother had committed suicide after being locked up, but he wanted her dead. Her mother tried to call the police, but was killed by Jiayi's dad. She ran from the house, as scared as she'd been on the day of the fire. As she ran, she heard Ming call out "You can run, but I will get you someday."
She ran as far as she could, before running into another man. That man was actually her brother, who was now 22. He told her of how he escaped the fire and fled to a house with their sister. The house belonged to an old couple that didn't have children of their own. They'd took them in, not knowing that one of their relatives were still alive, and gave them new names and a new life. After her brother had finished school, he went on to become a successful doctor in America. With his new riches, he brought Mei to America. Mei continued to learn the piano in the new environment, trying to forget about her best friend's Dad and started attending Hallen High.
Fighting Style:
Yes, Yes, Well, Her fighting style is the style that doesn't actually fight. She grew up in an environment where there was little conflict where ever she was. So she really can't actually fight - At least, not yet. If put in the middle of a fight, her main priority would probably be just running around trying not to get hit, or running around trying to escape. Either way, her fighting skills are pretty much non-existent.
Strengths:
Since studying is an activity she works hard on, it really shows. She can solve problems rather quickly with very neat handwriting too. Mei's thinking speed is very swift and she has a very good memory. Her running speed isn't incredible, but she can run at a slightly faster pace than most, though it could be even faster if she put any effort into it. The height she can jump is quite high, considering the fact that she¡¯s mostly indoors and doesn't play sports often. Her eyesight and reflexes work very well, after years of dodging flying instruments at school. Her co-ordination is impeccable. She doesn't really know how to mentally attack people, but often tries just to talk her way out of a fight.
Weaknesses:
Being an indoor person, her strength is her biggest weakness. The only sport she could play well enough was running games. She can't swim, and anything that she throws doesn't land too far away from her. She's also bad at sports that require hitting objects. The amount of pain she can take is very low and just a simple hit would probably be enough to weaken her considerably. She's subdued easily and when in that state, often doesn't fight back as she already knows it would be pointless. Her stamina is less than an average person, often falling asleep after getting home from school. She gives rather quickly in a fight if she doesn't find an escape, can't come up with a plan and can't talk her way out of a fight. If she's low on stamina, she'll just give up straight away. She's claustrophobic and scared of water and fire.
