She closed her eyes and smiled weakly, "I guess almost everyone is damaged, one way or another."
"Mind if I sit down next to you? If not I can always go back to the corner."
"Mm... Yes, please." She said, shifting herself a bit to give way for Mathew. Somehow, she felt a little mellow right now... maybe felt a little closer to Mathew considering that he heard her out.
Once Mathew sat down beside her, she'd lean her head against Mathew's shoulder... somewhat comfortable with him now. Though she thought she might not know him completely, right now he's all of a friend she's got in here... maybe Leon too later on but... at least she could show him she cares for him now as a friend.

OOC: Mathew gains 100 points in manipulative asshole. Mathew Levels up! Mathew is now lvl 99!
IC: He would wait for her to scoot over before he sat down beside her on the lumpy mattress allowing her to lean on him placing her head on his shoulder. In response to that he would put his hand on her knee giving her a small squeeze before a small pat. After that his hand would go back behind him allowing him to lean on the bed in an upright position so she could keep her head on his shoulder.
Checkmate.
He was now in the clear, the topic was dead and she opened up to him probably instilling feelings of closeness. It would be that much harder to go against him if the time ever came. She might of course if it came to him vs unfettered but he would be dammed if he was not going to try and make what allies he could here, especially ones that he could control.
"You know I didn't think I would be saying this in a place like this." He would start off turning his head slightly so he could look her in the eyes if she opened them. "But this is kind of nice." He would finish with a small chuckle.

Emily smiled, moving her head a bit to be a little comfortable, somewhat rubbing against Mathew's shoulder. "It is," she said, before laughing lightly; her eyes still closed "... heh... you need a shower though."
She meant it as a joke, though. Joking like this meant Emily was quite comfortable with Mathew... would be something good, mm?

He let out a small laugh as she nuzzled in to his shoulder telling him he needed a shower. He probably did considering that he was covered in sweat and blood under his clothing as well as dirt. He had been in not just one but two fights before getting taken. And he was hurt pretty bad. Nothing serious like Leon, who had his arm broken, but he had certainly taken a beating.
"Probably. I did get in to a few fights." He would say with a grin as he continued to look at her. "Well tell you what. I will send a complaint to the manager next time I see him." He said with another cocky laugh and a wink.
"But for what it is worth I did shower this morning." He added in as if that really mattered in their current situation. That was probably the least of their concerns.

She laughed a bit more -- somehow, talking like this was fun. "Aye, and the accommodations suck. Could at least have given us some radioactive bento." She frowned a bit, but somewhat playfully as the jokes continued. Emily was just looking forward towards the doors, probably the only thing close to an opening to the outside world.
"But for what it is worth I did shower this morning."
"Heheheh!"

Leon would say still laying there with his eyes closed, he had been listening in only for a minute or two, but it was enough to get what was going on. He came in when Mathew started talking his spurt of stuff. As interesting as that was he just couldn't get up right then. All Leon remembered from before he got knocked out from the tranqs was fighting some enemy. Geeze.
"Sorry for dragging you guys along for the ride."
And yet even still laying there with his eyes closed. But what did he mean dragging them along for the ride? The plot just keeps thickening now doesn't it?
But just like that a voice would seem to ring from no where, in an echoe like sense, but obviousely Sean's voice.
"Glad to hear everyone is awake. Time for a small field test. Oh... Leon, stop pretending your arms still broke, you already know we fixed it."
"Jack ass."

Mathew snorted when Leon spoke up telling them that he was sorry for dragging them in to this. As if Leon dragged him in to anything. Mathew was obviously a target himself or whats his face wouldn't have taken him. Emily was the only one that seemed to be dragged anywhere since she was with him. But since Mathew and Leon were separated when there were taken they were both targets, and it was even possible that he wanted Emily too.
"Whatever you say Leon." He would say with a roll of his eyes before Sean spoke from what Mathew could only assume was an intercom. After all just because he didn't see speakers in the room didn't mean there were none in the hallway. Also judging by what the voice said over the intercom he had to assume that the room was bugged and the man could hear what they said. It was certainly something to think about for later when it was time to plan a break out. Other then his silent observations from the voice Mathew would just remain silent and sitting allowing Emily to lean on him as much as she wanted why he eyed the now awake Leon.

Emily turned to Leon, quite happy that he was awake right now... But--
"Glad to hear everyone is awake. Time for a small field test. Oh... Leon, stop pretending your arms still broke, you already know we fixed it."
Emily almost jumped at the sudden entry of the warden's voice... and... field test? Just what did this crazy man mean by field test? What was he planning?
... hopefully nothing too dangerous... for her.
She kept quiet, keeping caution and stayed right where she was.
