His train had arrived late last night and he had stopped by the home that was now his. A farm that was outside the city, considered small by some. Eric had been stunned when he had heard what was considered small when the lawyer had been talking about the size of the farm. While it was his, it didn't feel like it belonged to him. The same goes for this area, it was strange to him still. Unlike New York, he couldn't walk the streets and know what lay beyond the next turn. He was going to have to learn about this new city, block by block. It might have been alright if he was doing this for his own reasons, but there was another purpose for him coming here. His eyes narrowed slightly as his car pulled into the parking lot of the school.
His reason for coming here was part of a scholarship program he had as a cover that had college student visit the local high schools for a sort of 'Big Brother' program. Essentially it was thought that a college student, closer to the age of those attending high school, might be better suited to connecting to the younger generation. When he had gotten to the scholarship office and they found out that he had graduated from PHS 552 they had practically thrusted this assignment onto him. He got out of his car and looked up at the buildings, reflecting on on what it probably meant that he was the only one from his program that was going to be assigned to this school.
As he walked up to the front doors he noticed three punks pushing around a smaller boy with glasses. A forth thug was sorting through the kid's backpack that had been carelessly dumped on the ground. Eric sighed as he started heading to where this little group was. As his shadow fell over the boy sorting through the freshman's things, the high schooler looked up. (What the fuck are you looking at.) Eric's response was a simple sigh, looks like it was going to be high school all over again.
A few minutes later the front doors of the school burst open as the last thug standing went flying through the doors. He landed on the ground unconscious and bleeding heavily. The graduate looked through the doors and sighed again. Several eyes were already turned toward him and he had a feeling things might get interesting soon. He turned to the freshman. "Pick up your things and get out of here." He then turned and walked through the now open door. Might as well face whatever the day had to bring.
