My first day of school in a new country, a good breakfast and dressing good so I can make a good impression. I threw on a t-shirt that was horizontally striped with green, black, red and yellow also having a silhouette of mother Africa on the chest. After that some dull khaki short, baggy fit like all my clothes, kept up with a belt. My black denim jacket with a Jamaican flag stitched on the back, show love for my country alright, respect. Slip on some sandals, a pair on green-tinted sunglasses and I was on my way to this public high school 259.
The long walk was made all the more enjoyable by the shining sun above, the soothing sea breeze, and the dulcet tones coming from the earphones of my mp3 player. I couldn’t help but bob my head to the beat as I walked up to the front entrance of the school. This place seemed huge, but first things first as I had to check in at the schools office. I walked up to the lady waiting at the desk, it took some time with my accent but eventually I got all the things I’d needed; schedule, locker, rules, and stuff like that. Now I had some free time before I’d have to get to my first class so I took to walking the grounds and getting used to this place. I stepped out into the courtyard and paused to take a look around, “By Jah, man… dees faor builbe so much bigaden I ol’ yar. Dat bedem chem so dat bedem gym an such. Dis plas be huuge, man.”
I hadn’t expected this coming from Jamaica...

Sounds of wheelchair creaked as the infamous cosplaying teacher rolled her way into office that day. Layla Clavering didn't have much class today, but she had to help with the school checkups with the School Nurse later on in the afternoon. For now, she was free to lounge about. “By Jah, man… dees faor builbe so much bigaden I ol’ yar. Dat bedem chem so dat bedem gym an such. Dis plas be huuge, man.” "Oh, look... Reira-san... funny accent, desu."The woman released Shinichi from her arms, the plush doll seemingly jumping off the woman and walking with it's stubbed feet. "Hi low, dear student.~" The plush doll asked as he went and sat on his shoulders. Layla projected a cute chibi boy voice that it would seem as if it was really Shinichi talking, despite him being just a plush doll. Shinichi was dressed like a little white fox puppy. =D HOW CUUUTE! Layla'd never really talk out of class... and if she wasn't talking with someone on a personal level. All the student would notice, was the plushie on his shoulder... and the woman that would be approaching him wearing THIS.

I slowly turned to see where this voice was-… “Bloodfire! Whadell be ju?!”
This white fox doll thing was on my shoulder! Where’d it come from!? I might have thought it was from the ganja but I never smoke before school. If things like this are going to happen often, I might change that. Obviously shock had taken me and caused me to fall to the ground as I shouted out. Yes, shouted. Now sitting on my ass facing the opposite way, I noticed the… woman walking toward me. Was she a teacher or a student? I couldn’t tell! She seemed to young for a teacher and she sure as hell didn’t dress like one but she seemed older than most students. This place just going get weirder, isn’t it?
“Kinell… mon. Whabe gon on ere?” I asked more so of the woman approaching than the devil creature that had just decided it perched itself on my shoulder and scare the living bejesus out of me. Maybe she would have some answers for me. Slowly I climbed back up to my feet so as to end the amusement of anyone who saw that display… a great way to start my time in this school. But if you can’t laugh at yourself from time to time… heh.

“Bloodfire! Whadell be ju?!”
The boy then fell to his ass on the floor. Hnn... interesting reaction, though not really unusual considering that Layla was pretty unusual herself for a teacher.
Shinichi would hop back onto Layla's lap, hugging her stomach as if crying.
"Waaah, Reira-saaaaan!" he cried, rubbing it's head on her stomach. Well, Layla wasn't walking at all... she was in her wheelchair. Her leg's ability to do things gave her quite the time here in PHS259... but it was good for her rehabilitation in the long run. After all, she'll need to walk up the stairs and walk every now and then.
“Kinell… mon. Whabe gon on ere?”
Layla smiled at the boy and looked down at Shinichi, stroking his white, fox-like fur. "Shin-kun, you scared the living wits out of the boy," a mix of British and Japanese accents would come out of her mouth, obviously bilingual.
The plush doll looked up at Layla and stood, turning towards the fallen boy. "Gomen nasai." he apologized, bowing lower. "My name is Shinichi, desu... and this is Layla Clavering."
Again, he used the word "Reira Kuraberingu" instead of "Layla Clavering" which is of the same name, but different accent. Oh the horror. "Are you new to 259, desu ka?"

Alex was in the hallway getting a few books out of his locker for the next class. Alex`s locker was very close to the main entrance so he could see everything happening there.
Alex wasn`t really paying attention to what was happening at the main entrance. He only turned to see what happened when he heard a shout. Alex turned around to see a guy lying on the floor and a girl (or was it a woman? She didn`t dress like a woman) in a wheelchair.
Alex giggled a bit, as he walked to the boy to help him get up. Looking at the still sitting guy, Alex stretched his hand.
Are you alright?

As I watched the little thing started crying and scampered to the woman in the wheelchair… so I hurt the fox thing’s feelings? It had feelings?… well, my bad I guess. I took the offered hand from the student who’d come over to help me up off the ground, nice of him to do so. I gave a quick nod of thanks and to let the other student know I was alright as I dusted myself unsure of what would happen next especially with this slightly odd woman around and her doll, yeah we’ll go with that, around. “Yah miss. My be neu ere. Jus muve ere farom Jamaica.”
I figured I should answer the question even though it was from the bizarre little doll. I will note that I used miss because I could not understand what the doll said the lady’s name was nor could I make out the doll’s name. In my defense you do not meet many Japanese people living in Jamaica, it just doesn’t happen so their accent was odd to me. Anyway I batted a few of my dreads from my face before extending my hand to the kid who helped me up for a handshake. “Tanks faor de elp, Rasta.” I leaned in to whisper to him so the teacher, I guess, couldn’t here. “ju nuo oo dis ooman be?”
I sure as hell didn't know...

Woah! Accent! was the first thing Alex thought. Alex had never heard such an accent and he was having quite the hard time figuring out what this guy was saying.
“Tanks faor de elp, Rasta.”
Ok, he understood this one. It seemed this guy couldn`t speak any for of the letter "h" and he added some vocals here and there. Rasta? Alex thought it to be something like "dude".
"ju nuo oo dis ooman be?"
This one was a bit harder. What the hell was a ooman...? Oh wait! A woman! "You know how this woman be?" It seemed he also didn`t know how to properly use verbs. Had probably something to do with his native language, whatever it was.
Alex snapped out of it, noticing that he had dosed off. This guy had asked him a question. If he knew who this woman was. Alex had no idea but why not just ask?
'Excuse me miss. Who are you? Are you a student?"
Alex didn`t know if she was a student or not, so he decided to play it safe. She was to old to be a student, but to young to be a teacher really. Maybe this girl had was retarded and she was only now attending school. Alex didn`t know.

Bwah, so hard to read, the accent. XD Can has Subtitles, kplz?
“Tanks faor de elp, Rasta.”
'Excuse me miss. Who are you? Are you a student?"
The woman smiled at the two. Well, in general... she had an accent too, but she was able to control it and switch between two or even three of them.
Aye. Life.
"My name is Dr. Layla Clavering," she would say to introduce herself, slightly bowing her head, "I'm a professor teaching some Advanced Placement classes involving basic Medicine."

My jaw dropped slightly as the teacher, no doctor, introduced herself. Ok… a doctor dressing like that… this country is majorly messed up. Weren’t doctors in white coats or suits or something like that? You know, properly dressed and not like some schoolgirl from a Japanese businesses dreams? As weird as it was, to each their own that’s the way to go so if she wanted to dressed like that it was her choice I wouldn’t try and change. Besides, I wasn’t going to have her in any of my classes, advanced placement is over my head. Anyway I nodded politely, “Guud tamiit ju, Ms. Lala Clavin. Ju anya lil facx.”
“Whabe ya nom?” I turned to the other student. I didn’t know any other student so it figured that I get to know at least one while I had the chance. I waited for a moment to give him a chance to respond, knowing full well that some people that were not from Jamaica could have trouble telling what I saw saying. Afterward I had some questions, well not specific ones more general… this being my first day they had to know more about this place than I did. “So, whadis yar be laik?” In order: A sub word is what it should be a sup word is a missing word.
1-Good to meet you, Ms. Layla Clavering. You and your little fox.
2-What be(is) your name?
3-So, what (is) this yard(school) like?

The boy`s jaw dropped when he heard that this woman was actually a teacher. And so did Alex`s jaw.
this woman was majorly messed up. Shouldn`t doctors be in white coats or suits or something like that? You know, properly dressed and not like some schoolgirl from a Japanese businesses dreams? School teacher... Man had Alex missed the nail bad!
The boy turned to Alex. "Whabe ya nom?" Alex understood this one. Again the misuse of the verb "be" and ya being probably your, the translation was something like "Wha is your nom"
"I`m Alex. Nice to meet youuu..."
Pronouncing the word "you" in a way that kinda forced this guy into saying his name.
“So, whadis yar be laik?” This is were Alex drew the line. What the hell was a yar? And for the first time in his life Alex spoke the oh so offensive words to someone with an accent (yeah right, like anyone cares)
"Excuse me, what?"

Don't underestimate this woman. Heck, she's one of the best general surgeons around. In surgery, precision and timing was the key... just about the same talents you gain when you learn how to cook, but this time you deal with the human body.
Of course, she goes by the normal scrubs inside the operating room... and the white coat and all inside the hospital. Cosplaying was a dear hobby to her, and it appeases her. Layla tried to avoid having others see the serious side of herself.
Then again, seeing these boy's jaw dropping reminded her of one of the major reasons why she cosplayed in the open: She LOVED seeing these kind of reactions.
Layla would giggle, barely understanding the new guy's accent. The two students would introduce each other-- so this guy was Alex, and the other... what was his name?
"You haven't introduced yourself, desu yo." The Fox doll's paw pointed at the Jamacan.
“So, whadis yar be laik?”
Layla played around with the words on her head for a bit. In all honesty, she never really was good with understanding foreign accents as well. "Pardon?" She would ask, no sign of confusion written in any area of her face... or anywhere that would matter. Layla was good at hiding her real emotions...
Most women in mourn do.

Did I forget to introduce myself? I did… oops. But you really can’t blame me after that fox doll’s decision to sneak up on me like that, brain’s scattered. Anyway, “Mybe Jackson Cole, naice tamiit ju.” I introduced myself with a quick little half-salute/half-wave to the two others well aware they might struggle with my accent. I already had to one thing I needed to clarify to them, it wouldn’t surprise if their were more… and not bother me, better they ask then assume I said something I didn’t.
But now I had to think of how to repeat myself clearer, a difficult task considering everything I said made perfect sense to me and anyone I’d ever known but that’s what happens when you move from one place to another, especially countries. After a moment I figured I had what I was going to say ready. “Yanuo… dis plaze,” I motioned to the school buildings surrounding the courtyard as a spoke as a way of enhancing the word so they could understand, “whasit laik? Whabe gonon ere?”
Here’s to hoping they understood that much, its hard to change the way you speak.1- I am Jackson Cole, nice to meet you. 2- You know... this place. 3- What's it like? What is going on here?

“Mybe Jackson Cole, naice tamiit ju.”
Alex was slowly getting used to this guys accent. So his name was Jackson Cole. Pretty normal name. Doesn`t sound very foreign at all.
“Yanuo… dis plaze,” “whasit laik? Whabe gonon ere?”
Agressive was the first thing that came to Alex`s mind. in the little time Alex had been at this school, he had counted fought a few times, dislocating his arm in one of them. And it had been for very stupid reasons too. Greating someone, not letting someone cut lines and pointing at people. But he wasn`t going to say that. This guy would find out for himself soon.
Well...
Alex paused, trying to think about good things about the place. Saying something about the students was out of the question as most of the people here were increadibly aggresive, and saying something about the teachers was stupid too since they were either more aggresive then the students, complete idiots or a combination of the two.
The roof has an awesome view and...
Alex looked at Layla hinting for her to help him. She was a teacher here. No douth she could say some positive things about this school, if there were any.

If you thought Layla was one of those aggressive Teachers that bullied people around, then you are wrong.
... she's more of corrupt than violent, actually.
The pink-haired woman stroked the hair of the plush doll on her lap, smiling as the wheelchair creaked, slightly moving. Luckily for her, she had been able to catch up on a few bits of the new guy's accent. "This school is an interesting one." she would advertise, actually sounding happy. "Most of the student populace are more than a little hyped up about last month's riot, and several students have been missing... so~"
The woman smiled. Considering the topic, it was weird to have someone so calm and happy as if she was actually excited about this. Then again, this was professor Layla... she was very VERY hard to predict. "Isn't it exciting?"

OOC: I know your not the bully teacher type, but Alex doesn`t. =P
IC: "This school is an interesting one."
"Great!" Alex thought. She had noticed Alex`s cry for help.
"Most of the student populace are more than a little hyped up about last month's riot, and several students have been missing... so~"
Wait, what? This wasn`t what Alex had in mind...
"Isn't it exciting?"
"..."
Exciting? No! What was wrong with tis woman? But wait... a riot? Alex became interested. Especially since he had agreed a while ago to join a peace group.
"Um... excuse me miss... could you tell me a little bit more about this riot thing?"
Alex completely forgot about Cole. Not on purpose or anything, but this riot thing was very interesting. Cole would have to wait a bit...
