Slowly Aureus placed his right hand in front of his left. The rough texture of the brick gravity pressed him down upon was the focus of his concentration. His balance was another important factor, but by this point he had more of an instinct about it. He just needed to keep his thoughts centered, if you will. A soft breeze playfully twirled about him. His legs, pointed straight towards the sun, wobbled just a bit. The scents of sweat, dirt, and spring intertwined before reaching the Senior's nose. It was a good smell.
Reaching the end of the line, Aureus side flipped back onto the safety of the building and bent forward with his hands on his knees while catching his breath. So, why was the teen walking on his hands along the side of the school's roof? Well, he was bored for one, and aside from that he thought balance and flexibility were some areas he needed to work on. News had reached him that some teacher was looking for him because of a few bad grades he had gotten in Psych, but he didn't mind. They probably wouldn't find him.
At this point in his academic career, Aureus didn't give two shits what his grades were as long as they were just above average. 85 and up, it didn't matter. He'd even settle for an 80 in a few classes if he had to. Spontaneously he threw himself into a backflip, only to short it and almost fall right on his face. Thankfully his arms reached the ground before his handsome visage and he flipped over onto his back panting slightly. Rolling over, the Pillar grabbed his water bottle and sat up to pour it's cold content's down his throat.

As usual, Layla had been busy checking exam papers when she had received a call from one of the Psych teachers in 259. Apparently, one graduating student flunked this subject and was generally a candidate for repetition. Why take advanced courses like this when you know you couldn't put your heart into it?
Well, to Layla... it didn't matter now -- she had said yes, on the condition that half that teacher's salary be her own. Well, the teacher... pretty much desperate... agreed.
She can be quite corrupt, this pink-haired widow... then again, she was quite forgiving. Layla wasn't one to take money from someone who really needed it, after all - she was pretty well off.
The woman opened the door to the rooftop, sighing as she finally found the student she was looking for. "We've finally found you, desu yo!" Shinichi would say, "Failed your Psych class, we hear?"
The two just came from their meeting with the rest of the faculty, so she was still quite wearing their Kimono-themed cosplay outfits.

The door to the roof creaked open and Aureus readied himself to take off when the sight of the intruder caught him off guard. She was wearing a kimono, and he had never seen her before. Short, with pink hair and violet eyes. There was also something there that told him she was crazy and it was more than just the plush doll talking to him. Not to mention, it sure as hell was news to him that he had failed Psych. He liked the class, and the quizzes and paper weren't too hard.
"Failed, eh? Well, that's news to me." He replied curtly, getting to his feet and taking another good look at her and behind her. Had to make sure she didn't have any helpers with her. Quick glances to his left and right served the same purpose. No, she was the only one he could feel close by. She's kinda cute. Dunno if that's dangerous crazy though...mmh, I guess it always turns out to be in the end though. Levi muttered to his brother. "So, who're you?"

Layla is wearing her pink hair wig, as usual... XD;; I did refer to her as the pink-haired widow.
"Failed, eh? Well, that's news to me." he told her. Layla would just smile and Shinichi, as usual, did the talking for her.
"That's what your teacher said, desu yo!" The plush doll would say, floating over and landing on the boy's head.
"So, who're you?"
"Shinichi, desu yo!" it would announce happily, jumping up and down at Aureus's head, "This is Dr. Reira Kurabingu, and we're supposed to be tutoring you today."

OOC: Sorry 'bout that. Oh and it'd be Aureus'. You dun need the extra s. XD IC: Pulling away from the plush doll, Aureus would give the woman a thoughtful look. She definitely was an odd one, but he wasn't the type to negatively judge people. Desu yo...wonder what that means. Remind me to look it up later. He would assume she already knew his name if she had talked to his teacher and would skip the introduction on his part. "Mmh, there must've been some mix up. A misplaced test or something. Granted, I haven't been putting much effort into school lately, but I do not fail. Sorry to waste your time, but I don't need tutoring. I'll take it up with my professor at the end of the day." The Senior responded plainly before taking another gulp of water. Hopefully she'd understand and refrain from giving him too much trouble.

True. This teacher of his was certainly a lot of trouble in and out of class. "Well, I believe you." Layla finally spoke, leaving the plushie to float back into her arms. "Your professor is indeed a hard-headed woman. Though I will not insist on you being tutored, I must request that I keep you company here for a while."
The woman went and sat on the edge of the building, the woman's extreme poise and overflowing refinement showing off. Maybe it was her charisma; but then again... Layla was a fine woman, though indeed confusing. "So, what's a senior like you doing out of the books and up here...?"

The sudden change in the woman's speech pattern caught the boy off guard. She now seemed very intelligent and professional. In Aureus' experience it meant she was overcompensating for something, but exactly what it was he had no clue. Even so, there was something interesting about her now. His dull brown eyes followed her to the edge of the building.
"Haha, you say that like it's an odd thing." The Pillar chuckled and walked over to the edge to sit down a few feet away from her. "From what I know most Seniors don't focus on school at all at the end of the year. As for me, well I've never had to study. I've got a knack for remembering things. It's rather fortunate, frees up my time for more rewarding pursuits. I've been up here working on my balance. Walking on my hands along the edge, etc." Aureus said with a small smile.

Oy, dude... Layla is a ventriloquist and a person gifted with voice mimicking abilities, It's doubtful Aureus could've noticed... unless he was staring at her lips all this time~. Then again, it's ok. ;P
One thing difficult about this account is that I sometimes mistake the darned modify button as the quote button. X__X Damn it. Sorry! Fixed your post though -- no harm, no foul.

Layla chuckled along with Aureus; a soft smile traced upon her lips. "Actually, it is quite odd." she explained, playing with the cloth hair of Shinichi, "Seniors, to what I've understood, should be preparing for their SATs, and any other College Entrance requirement."
She paused, now looking towards the student she was talking to. "Well, that is if you're planning to get into college in the first place."
"Working on your balance? Planning to get into the military or into the police, perhaps?" she queried, curious as to why this man was concentrating on his physical abilities at the time when he was "supposed" to be getting ready to graduate and move onto a higher level of education.
Then again, Layla had never really gone into the physical side of the world ever since the car accident that changed her life. She was terribly weakened from the waist down; somewhat needing a wheelchair now and then.

OOC: Yeah I mix those buttons up too.
IC: "Hmm, you're not from around here, are you? Students take the SAT their Junior year. College applications are due in January at the latest for universities. I've already been accepted to UCLA. So now I'm just wrapping things up here." The Pillar replied, looking out across the city.
"As for the balance thing, well I'm a fighter. Always have been, so I constantly practice to improve. Going to a school like this especially instills it in you. So, Dr. Reira, where are you from?"

The pink-haired woman would smile as she continued to play around with that blue haired plush doll, fixing it's yukata now and then. She was obviously treating that doll as an equal, if not a fellow person.
Though eccentric in her love for that doll and whom it represented, she was sensible in knowing that it was no more than cloth stuffed with synthetic stuff.
Meh, she loved it anyways.
"Guess the system is quite different. But in any case, I'm from Japan, actually." she would say, "... my main patient had immigrated from Tokyo, and so I decided to move here to Long Beach with her... just finalized my permanent citizenship a few months back."
Of course, the girl she was talking about was Emily. Emily was more than a patient to her -- more like a daughter. Having not been able to start a family with her husband, Emily was the closest she had.
Now, this "daughter" of hers had completely disappeared into thin air. Though worried, she trusted in Emily's abilities to fend for herself. Most she could do is keep Emily's grades under control until she was able to return -- most she'd have to do is pass a few remedial exams... but it was enough, regardless of the extra pain and effort.

Aureus watched the odd care the teacher gave to the plush doll she was holding. It was more than just nervous fidgeting. There was something about that doll that really mattered to her. It was odd for someone her age to have that much of an emotional attachment to such a thing. She was very interesting. "Japan...ah. That's interesting. Must be some special patient for you to move all the way here. How do you like California so far?" The teen inquired.

The Pink-haired woman stayed quiet for a while before answering. Well, it'd actually show a bit of her own personality, which was a no-no... mostly. This little boy here was a mere acquaintance.
"It's a wonderful place so far." She would say. Though, she did mean it... part of her would also state the fact that she had seen places with better means of student discipline.
Then again, the students here... are more aggressive amongst themselves more than to the faculty and the school administration. Her greatest worry would be unnecessary casualties, but she also knew that most students would be able to fend for themselves.
