Fighting Information
Fighting Style: Basics in most Martial Arts, Hwa Rang do (Lancing Art), Taekwondo, Tai chi chuan, Vajra Mukti.
Years Practiced: 10
Description of style:
Basic Martial Arts: From age 3-8 she was taught nothing day to day but all forms of martial arts. She learned the basics in each and mastered all up to a certain level however her training was always cut off and moved before she could become a form master. The style to anyone who doesn’t fight in any of the basic arts would just appear to be karate to very intricately formed. Within this training she was also taught the ways of Taekwondo and Tai chi Chuan. Both at a glance are very similar to the basic training and karate look, however if looked at closely, are noticeable with a change of speed and body movement. She becomes more aggressive the basic styles yet when moving into tai chi or the taekwondo she is more at ease and peaceful.
Hwa Rang Do: She went into the second stage at the age of 8. Hwa Rang Do is a Korean martial art that employs over 4,000 diverse combat techniques and over one hundred weapons. The use of each technique and weapon is taught in a logical progression. New Hwa Rang Do students, who are not familiar with martial arts, are encouraged to enter introductory Tae Soo Do. This is a beginner’s course of the art.
The literal translation of Hwa Rang Do is “flower man way.” A man must nurture strength, honor, and virtue. Only then will he bloom like a flower. It is the only way. These are the teachings instructed to each student and practitioner.
Despite the translation of the art’s name, this art was named after the Harang. The Harang were an elite group of Koreans who were educated in the finest martial arts facilities.
As you will read in the character bio Shun Rei was taught by Master Zhao Rui Xin in an odd art. The lance is an ancient European weapon usually preformed on horse back and meant to be used in a joust. However the weapon that was graced by the gods upon Shun Rei, or that’s what she was told, is a Lance. This weapon was incorporated into the Hwa Rang Do style before, and she was able to master it completely by incorporating all her previous teachings and this style into one suddo style to fit her. This style was a test and she passed with flying colors able to move onto Vajra Mukti. This style looks mainly just like Karate and Kendo Combined with Jousting and a giant lance.
Vajra Mukti: At the age of 10 while finishing up her training in Hwa Do was chosen to make move onto the third step. The art of vajra mukti (also known as Vajramushti) is native to India and is considered an Indian martial art. This martial art identifies with a weapon that is utilized by the hand and is used with striking and grappling. “Mutki” literally means “closed hand” or “fist.” The word “vajra” means “thunderbolt.” In Buddhism and Hiduism the vajra is considered a religious symbol. The practice of vajra mukti is commonly referred to as “Indra’s fist.”
Many historians claim that this martial art is a martial art that’s been passed down through Buddha’s bloodline, where it first originated. This theory places Vajra mukti as one of the first combat martial arts to exist. If these theories are correct, the Varja Mukti dates back to 1000 BC. It is said to have been used by Indian warriors known as the “Kshatriya.” The monks at the temple only teach this secret advanced form of fighting to chosen disciples, and there where three in Shun Reis generation. Shun Rei being one of them has spent the last three years learning the basics.
History Information
History:
Somewhere in the darkness of the Beijing underworld live secrets and traditions that have been passed down through generations and generations of chosen families. The Zheng Family is one of those ancient families. Descending from an ancient Chinese emperor This family is one of 7 families who secretly rule china. Through huge roots and other means these families are the top of society and in their own minds have been blessed by the ancient Chinese gods. They are also the only three families in their whole who interbreed only with each others, and still believe in the ancient Chinese gods as well as Buhhda. It is tradition for the mother to bare the child in a temple and for the buhdist monks to observe and prophesize from it. The Zheng family is probably the most wise of the families, as well as the most stubborn, and they, through stubbornness, kept the tradition.

Living in seclusion at the secret temple in the Chinese forest she trained and trained along with all the other students from various families told to appear there. There where few girls and most of them studied archery and miko arts while Shun Rei trained with the boys. During times of break, similar to summer and Christmas breaks to the united states she would horse back ride and learn gymnastics outside of the temple. She would never return quite as far as home. When she turned nine she was asked to be audience to the top masters in the shrine city. She had already taken up gambling and thought she was going to be kicked out. Nervous as ever she entered the main household completely unprepared. This was the first time she had ever laid eyes on the jade and gold statues that lined the walls. All where carved to show the previous Vajramushti Guardians. The three present Guardians all sat in the room too also glorified like gods.
Shun Rei was taken in aw by them and quickly felt more nervous by their presence. But the secret city master, an onmyouji, had not called her for trouble but instead handed her a huge box twice Shun Reis size. He simply told her to open it and she quickly did looking upon a Giant silver lance with gold embellishments, along with a red marble hilt which along with gold molded in intricate designs onto the lance. Though it was dull it could easily smash something. A Huge red and tassel hung off the end with a bright purple marble bouncing from it. The onmyouji simply said, master the weapon and become on of the Vajramushti guardians. Shun Rei ever since has aspired to be one of them. She started training with Master Zhao rui Xin or as shun Rei called him, Father Zhao. Though this was the first time a person had been prophesied a non Asian weapon she learned the art quickly becoming skilled in it. She used her weapon and her maturing body to throw off her opponents her ego getting severely boosted with every win. It was after a particularly large brawl in which Shun Rei beat up and entire gang that she was sent out of the temple city to a place she could fight others with different styles and techniques. She was sent to 259.
