David reached into his pocket, pulling out the 48.50 his taxi driver had demanded in return for his services. He paid the man, telling him to keep the small amount of change that was left over. He got a thank you before the yellow cab pulled away, leaving him in front of the new school he would be attending for the remainder of his high school years. He was a transfer from one of the bloodiest and most brutal schools in the nation. He had attended for freshman year, before being dubbed a school pillar, then halfway through his sophomore year had been appointed School Captain of PHS 809.
It wasn't a job he had chosen, more like a job he had been forced to do in order flush out the strongest kids in the worst of the gangs. It had worked, though not exactly in the way the principal had intended. The man wanted them flushed out in order to offer them work keeping other people in line. Instead they had attacked David, intent upon the Title the sophomore had bore.
It hadn't gone well for them.
Knowing now he would never see his plans to fruition, The principal of PHS 809 blamed David, demanding that he transfer to another school for his junior and senior years. David was fine with it, since doing that could officially take him out of the hierarchy of a school, and place him back with the unknowns, right where he wanted to be. He detested fighting. He would do it, of course, should he be challenged honestly or if he was in danger, but otherwise he mostly remained a peacemaker.
Hard to be a peacemaker with so many people flocking for the title.
He wondered who held it here? He would have to find out sooner than later, and make friends with them. He liked friends, and being friends with the school captain and his pillars was always a good thing to be. He slung his backpack up onto his shoulder, then walked through the front gates of his temporary home. He looked to the closest building, the one that said "main entrance" and walked toward it, crossing through the courtyard as he did so, thoughts of a new school year fresh on his mind.

A punch coming for his left cheek, dodge. Another one coming for his right, dodge. A low kick, jump up. Now it was Alex`s turn. Punch in the left cheek, hit. Punch in the right cheek, hit. Roundhouse kick in the face, hit.
The boy had been hit by the kick and had been sent to the round hitting his head against it hard. Looking at the boy, Alex said something in a very annoyed tone:
"No, you can`t have my lunch money"
This wasn`t the first time people had demanded Alex`s money. Probably thought they were stronger because they were bigger.
As Alex turned around to go to his next class he saw a man standing at the school office. "New guy" Alex thought. How did he know? Well because he was standing at the school`s office. How does that imply someone is new? Well because only new people use the school office at all because for some reason it doesn`t matter how much you ring the bell, you will at least have to wait half an hour.
Alex knew this because his locker was very close to the school office. (OOC: I`m assuming the school office is close to the entrance of the school. That`s how it`s here in Holland. Don`t know how it is in the US.)
Alex decided to have a chat with the new guy. Alex liked to have new guy friends since he thought they hadn`t (yet) been infected with the thirst-for-blood virus, everyone at this school seemed to have.
But Alex wouldn`t just say hi. He wanted to play a little.
"Hi there."
Alex said with all the blood lust in his heart (which wasn`t much but enough to make it convincing). This should give of the impression that Alex wanted to fight. He wanted to see how this kid would react.

OOC(( ill go with it. Most schools are like that here from what i know))
David looked over as he entered the building, watching as a kid quickly dispatched someone. He didn't bother to intervene, instead opting to observe. as the first kid delivered a roundhouse to the boy in front of him, the boy who took the kick dropped like a sack of grain. David grunted. Not bad. The kid looked up and saw Dadavid, who didn't shy away from the gaze. He was standing outside the school office, having no clue which way to go in order to find his classes. The boy who had won approached him, giving him a hard stare.
Then, for seemingly no reason, David got a hello. But it wasn't the type of hello you said to someone you wanted to interact with. It was a hello you gave before you jumped into the attack. David smiled.
"Judging by the sound of your voice, i take it your looking for a fight." He pointed over his shoulder with his thumb. "If you head out the front doors, you'll find plenty of people to entertain your aggression." He pointed at himself with the same thumb. "I, however, am not worth your time." It was a lie, to be sure, but he really didn't want trouble, especially not on his first day. He wanted to keep under the radar and make some friends, and putting some kid in the hospital his first day here would only make people notice him.
Besides, he truly didn't want to fight. He shrugged.
"I'm a good conversationalist, if you feel like talking. But fighting really isn't my forte. sorry man." He flashed a smile, then turned to leave. He had forgotten that old saying: "You can tell a persons fighting ability just by how they carry themselves. If you know how to fight, you can tell, just by looking at someone, whether they got what it takes". He simply walked away normally, not hiding that aura like he normally would. It wasn't that he wanted to fight, he simply forgot. He readied himself, however, should the boy attack. He would try his best to find some way out of the situation, as always, but he wasn't going to be picked on either. He tried to keep an open mind, so if the boy DID call out and just wanted to talk and be friends, David would stop and gladly accept.
He re-slung his bag over his shoulder and continued forward, ears open in case the boy went on the offensive.

"I'm a good conversationalist, if you feel like talking. But fighting really isn't my forte. sorry man."
Alex`s evil grin vanished and made way for a much more friendly smile.
"That`s good to know"
Alex said with a very happy face that made it hard to believe he could ever have looked like he wanted to fight at all.
"I wanted to see how you would react. Most people at this school would have attacked a long time ago. Personally I am too much more of a conversationalist then a fighter."
Alex stretched his arm to give this guy a hand. Alex had no idea why he was talking to this complete stranger in the first place. He often just went to say hi to people he didn`t know. The main reason Alex got into fights.
"For real this time. Hi, I`m Alex."

He grinned.
"David Blaze. Pleased to meet you alex." he clasped hands with the boy, then brought a hand up behind his head and laughed.
"You have a most interesting way of introducing yourself. luckily there was-"
He was cut off by the sudden appearance of a head over Alexs' shoulder; the boy alex had 'dipatched'. He held a knife above his head, and was about to bring it down clean into the skull of the kid in front of him. David moved quicker than a blink. he pushed Alex out of the way, then brought up his leg and kicked the boy with the knife sqaurly in the chest, hard.
"oof" was all the sound the kid made as he flew backward with crippling speed, slamming into the wall with such force that cracks erupted in the concrete around his back. He slid to the ground, completly knocked out, blood trailing out from his mouth. David was a little unnerved; he didnt think he kicked him THAT hard. Shaking his head, he turned back around and scooped up his backpack, then looked to Alex.
"You want to show me around? Ive got a feeling that a crowds gonna show up soon." He started walking forward, then stopped and turned back, waiting for Alex to follow.

"You have a most interesting way of introducing yourself. luckily there was-"
Suddenly Alex was pushed away. Why was he doing that? Alex heard a sound. A strange sound. "oof" or something. Alex turned around and was just in time to see the kid he had just downed smack against the wall with tremendous power.
"Thank god I`m not fighting this guy" Alex thought.
"You want to show me around? Ive got a feeling that a crowds gonna show up soon."
Alex smiled. Yeah that probably was a good idea.
Sure, follow me.
Alex had no idea where to go. This place was big. It was really big. No, it was bigger then that. It was Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig. Alex decided to go to one of the best places in this school. The cafeteria. He was hungry and although lunch hadn`t started yet, he could just go and grab a bite.
After having ate something he would take David to the roof. The best place this school had to offer. There was nothing better then just hang around with a friend on the roof. Even if you had only meet this "friend" a few minutes ago.
As they entered the cafeteria Alex said:
Oh, by the way, thanks for saving my life back there.

David followed, not even glancing back as a few people ran over to where the kid lay sleeping. They took a few turns, then entered the best place in the school: the cafeteria. And lord, was he hungry. He shrugged as the boy thanked him for the earlier intervention on his part.
"No problem. You brought me to the cafeteria; ill consider us even" he said with a grin. He set his bag in a chair near where they had entered, then went over to the food line, speaking to Alex as he did so. It was a short line, but a line nonetheless.
"So, whats this school like? anyone important i should know about? Who runs it? whose the principal? the school captain? Pillars? what are they like? And no, you don't have to answer all those at once" he had been listing things off his mental calender of things he needed to check out. He hoped he wasn't being rude by asking so many questions, but being a transfer to a place he had never been before was taxing, and with the past accomplishments he had, wanted to make sure he wasn't going to be a target. It was simple business, asked in a friendly matter over soon to be food.
The line moved slowly, the kid in front of them chatting it up with a girl. He eagerly awaited his turn at the food, his stomach grumbling in protest at its current lack of nutrition.

"No problem. You brought me to the cafeteria; ill consider us even"
Alex smiled. It seemed this guy liked food. There was a line though. Alex was quite amazed how this guy didn`t just push the people in front of him away. He certainly was strong enough. Was this guy really just... nice? Alex`s smile grew. That was very rare here.
"So, whats this school like?
Before Alex got a chance to answer David`s question he had already asked another one.
Anyone important i should know about?
"Eh..."
Who runs it? whose the principal? the school captain? Pillars? what are they like? And no, you don't have to answer all those at once"
Alex waited a second before starting to answer the questions. Maybe more were coming and he didn`t want to be interrupted again.
"Let`s see... Dangerous. Don`t know, I`m still fairly new here. Students, pretty much. Dunno. Dunno. Dunno. Dunno. Sorry for not being to helpful."
After picking what they wanted to eat they went to sit at a table.
"What about you? What`s your story before getting here?"

David grinned when the boy stated he didn't know any of the answers he sought. It didn't bother him, the kid was probably fairly new as well, or else just didn't look into those things. He waited as the line moved forward, his stomach grumbling in annoyance at the fact that they had to wait. As they reached the front, he began piling everything he could on the tray, the cooks grinning at someone being so interested in they're food. It was a rarity, but a welcome one. As David selected what he wanted to drink, he found it to be quite a difficult decision, and so selected one of all the four types before going over and taking his seat beside Alex.
He was bringing his sandwich to his lips when the boy asked him his story. He paused, the food inches from his lips, before resuming he bite he had been about to take. Should he tell him? Should he really trust this newcomer with things from what seemed another life? After he chewed and swallowed, he shrugged.
"No story. I'm a transfer from another school. Nothing big about it." He sure was telling a lot of lies today, but he didn't quite trust this kid yet. It wasn't anything in offense to him, he just didn't want the wrong people to get the wrong idea about his past. He took another bite, moaning as he did so. The food was delicious. He swallowed again, then looked to Alex. "So, what about you? You got a story?" He grinned. "Probably a little more interesting than mine is, but i don't mind." He leaned in, taking another huge bite before turning to the kid next to him and waiting for an answer.
