Personality: Tenzen is a fairly nice guy. He has no problem with being himself in front of others, and he's pretty comfortable with who he is. Though he is nice, he tends to be quiet around people he doesn't know. It's not that he's anti-social, he's just a little shy (social interaction was never a strong point of his). Tenzen is a strong Christian, and lives by his beliefs, though it does prove hard at some points. He is after all, only human. He's not perfect. One of the biggest flaws in his personality that makes his imperfection evident would have to be his tendency to fall in love quickly. He's very passionate and attached to people and relationships, so he leaves himself prone to extreme, inner pain. Tenzen is one of those "hopeless romantic" kind of people, and this side of himself tends to show itself in his manga, al of which is fantasy and/or romance based.

Apparently thin, though they are strong due to the fact that he has lean muscles, meaning he won't get bulky, but he can turn out to be pretty darn strong. Strong shoulders.

Similar to arms. Physically stronger and developed due to Taekwondo training.

Taekwondo utilizes mainly kicks aimed to the torso, head, etc. with some hand attacks. Since sparring is his favorite part of TKD, he's been able to refine his basis to a pretty good degree. Tenzen also picked up some MMA (mixed martial arts) over the past few years as well, having taken an interest in UFC, PFC, etc. and has begun to use techniques form styles such as Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu in his fighting style along with Taekwondo. What MMA tactics he knows is self taught however, and currently requires refining. Tenzen usually tries to refrain from fighting others, but when he has to, he'll mostly counter attack unless his in one of those "friendly spars", reflecting Tenzen's reluctance to hit someone without reason. He considers his fighting ability to be around average, but he has shown a good deal of potential on several occasions. He tends to strike more with his hands, seeing as they are faster than his legs, and hit just as hard, and uses as little movement as possible, conserving energy in battle and allowing him to keep up with wider, faster attacks thrown by his opponent.
Tenzen also practices swordsman ship whenever he's in the mood to, which means he hasn't really refined his sword skills any. He does it purely for fun and doesn't expect to use his swordsmanship in actual combat. His style of sword, like his fighting style, is mostly about counter attacking and following up the counters. It bears a strong resemblance to the Chinese Tai Chi sword style, with a few tweaks that resemble Japanese sword techniques.

Tenzen Uma, born to Japanese/ Korean parents in Colorado, was the second of three children. He had a sister, one year older than he was, and a brother, three years younger than he was. Over all, you could call them your average, every day, Asian american family. Tenzen grew up in a suburb, away from the commotion of the city. He spent a lot of his childhood days outside running around, and later, drawing the landscapes. He took a liking to manga at an early age, and started off drawing blobs of cartoons characters which later became more refined and... What's the word, mangaish? Manga-like? Well, you get the picture.
As his love for creating manga grew, so did his passion for other forms of art, namely the musical arts, and martial arts. At the age of seven, Tenzen picked up the electric guitar, and Taekwondo at the age of eight (and later self-taught MMA and kenjutsu). Life seemed normal, everything was giddy, happy go lucky, and all that jazz.
Age 13: Things took an... Unfortunate turn.
Tenzen doesn't really recall just what happened due to some minor memory loss. His family simply told him he was involved in a little accident when he had woken up. Oh, that's right, I forgot to mention that Tenzen's little accident had put him in a coma. A THREE YEAR COMA!!! Tenzen woke up at the age of sixteen, confused, baffled, with only a few blurry images of fire in his mind, which gave him a fear of the hot... Flame... thing.
After being home schooled for some of the following years, Tenzen caught up in his studies as his body recovered from waking up from that long slumber. But Tenzen desired to go back to attending a public school. After all, he didn't really make many friends while being home schooled, and he had lost contact with most of his old friends. Tenzen, after taking much effort to convince his parents, was sent to Long Beach California, where his sister was attending college. Tenzen got to attend a public school like he wanted, and his parents had his older sister to watch over him while he stayed there. Everybody wins, neh?
