So yeah, apparently FF13 is going to be a 360 game too, which means that FF is no longer a PS3 exclusive. I asked a lot of my friends about this and they seemed ticked off, mostly because they're PS3ers and bought the console only for the exclusive games. As an owner and player of 360, I'm super excited about this, and I'll post what I wrote on a different board.
So.
What's your opinion about this?
A lot of my friends who bought PS3 are super pissed because they bought the PS3 for it's exclusive games, and are now bashing the 360 in a strong vulgar language, which frankly, as a 360 owner and gamer, slightly ticks me off. I know my friends don't mean to be harsh and all, but for f**ks sake, bash Square Enix and not the 360. Sorry. Had to let it out somewhere.
As for myself, I'm super excited about the FF series that will come out for the 360, because that means I can play it at home rather than driving out to my friend's house every time I want to play, but I do sympathize for those who bought a PS3 solely for the purpose of its exclusive games. To be honest, I really wouldn't care if Enix would go back and say, "Oh, never mind, we decided to keep the FF series as PS3 only, k'thanks", because so long as if I can play the game, I'm pretty content.
I just wish my friends would stop bashing the 360, because then I start to say something and then hell is unleashed because then we've got a freaking PS3 vs 360 debate flaming on MSN with 237 people. @_@
And, I was going to buy the PS3, until I realized that Halo was an exclusive for the 360 (I used to own the regular X-Box), so I ended up with a 360 instead. So yeah, I'd be pretty ticked if PS3 got Halo, but I wouldn't blame the PS3, I'd blame Bungie - back then, that is. If Halo went over to PS3 now, I really couldn't care less, because there are other games that are worth playing on the 360 than just Halo.
Buuut, back to the topic at hand. Like I said, since I'm a 360er, I have no negative feelings about this, but I do understand your point of view.
Maybe if I were a hardcore gamer, I'd care more, but since I'm not, well..
And I'm asking people around right now. Most don't seem too happy about the fact that Square Enix made such a decision, but then again, the good majority I asked were PS3-ers, so.
