The coat of protective blaze, an item that was procured after the defeat of the original leader of the dragons, and an item that is coveted by Ark. The reason not because of any simple sympathetic attachment, rather, to him it is proof that he could face off and virtually single handedly hold his own against a foe who was so much stronger than himself.
The coat however was something of a mystery to Ark, to this day it still seems to be hiding things, and formally until recently it would absorb the light from the sun and become capable of exuding massive levels of heat, heat that Ark couldn’t feel, and at the same time if Ark were to fail a guard or block the coat would violently react to the attacker with jets of fire.
Within later times Ark found methods that could cause the coat to flare up and literally light himself ablaze, this of course was how he was known as the fire dragon, being capable of such feats and having a complete immunity to fire while wearing this garb he came to the point where it never left his body.
The problem was, that during his years of traveling the world, and overuse age of the coat the material began to turn hazy, less and less heat was generated and in time it seemed as though the coat had lost its abilities. Though now that Ark has settled into his new home, it would seem that he has decided to solve the mystery and reawake his second most prized possession.
• Using the gasoline he bathed the coat for roughly a week in a tub at his home, because of the natural effects of gasoline to dissolve the thick layers that had previously hazed the coat over as well as give it a nice polish.
• The left arm of the coat was removed and placed to the side after the coat had dried off, this was more for study and perhaps later application to another project he might work on, or merely to study the material so that he may perhaps reproduce it at a later time if the need arises to patch up the coat.
• Cutting the metal plates into various pieces after which drilling the holes into them to fit the spec’s for the bolts, from which point he would affix them to multiple points on the lower rim of the tail of the coat, five on the face of the coat, all of which hollowed out on the right and using small bits welded them to the left to create buckles, the left over set aside and six on the cuff of the remaining sleeve, using the nuts and bolts to fasten them securely.
• After spending a great amount of time over the stove Ark boiled all the leather as well as stretched it out from which point removed the lower two buckles of his jacket only to sow two of the leather straps into the under area, after which placing the buckles over the leather belts, the belts travel the entire waste from one buckle to the other that is parallel to it.
• Using what was left of the metal as well as the scrap he shaped a unique shoulder guard for the right shoulder that also goes up the one side of his neck, the shoulder piece was designed with layers as seems to have small rectangles carved through it which a piece of leather was slipped through and woven into the coat, around the shoulder and back out to fasten this piece to the jacket, also the other strap of leather after being laced through an O ring was used to go all the way around to the zipper as where the other belt comes back out and meets on the left side of the zipper.
