in order from 1 to 7 - Wow, no question there. The first one for dreamcast was an awesome thing, it was like sonic 3D without the major suck factor, and hell it was even fun... something Sonic hadn't been since the Sega days. But yeah, every rebuild since? Please just kill that blue bastard and every other god damned pain in the ass character that his franchise has since spewed out or at least for the love of god make a good fucking game! They really need to pick one, because really... we don't want more of the same, it was cool all those years ago, now the concept is as cool as watching a dog take a shit on a mountain.
- I think they covered all bases on that one lol.
- Uh... never heard of it, but... my question is... why would you play a game about running a race as opposed to going outside and... you know, running a race? Forgive me but, something about playing a racing game that involves you emulating running seems really like a waste of money when I could just go outside and well... race. This game = EPIC FAIL
- GO KISS A DONKEYS NADS! I loved this game no matter how many other cheap ass remakes came out, I didn't have no fucking sega for years, I had SNES and this game brought me much yay when i had no streets of rage. Screw you haters T-T aside >.> in there little window of spin offs, The King of Dragons was actually hardly a rip off and had very wonderful game play, so again, fuck you haters !
- XD They said it all with this one haha it was shit then, its shit now, and honestly >.> not a damn person I know who played the systems back then has ever heard of it other than me cause I loled at this every time I went into the game store XD
- -simply agrees-
- Now, I could go into a long winded explanation as to why this deserves nostalgia, but to sum it up. It was a huge fucking leap forward in gaming design. As for them balling up and compairing it to FF8 XD FF8 beat out 7 visually, but the characters sucked, the story got so retarted I couldn't bear to even follow it anymore, the combat was like the old game, but easier because of the GF powers all working at once... (hello, materia socket system means use your fucking brain and plan ahead, and not run into battle known you already will win MATERIA > GF (for the record, espers were summons in per games to 7)) But let us no linger on the fact that 8 sucked, 7 was just downright fun (and no i'm not some sephiroth raving fan boy, cool villain yes, best? FUCK NO!) however! If you think 7 was the best, take a step back and play 6, though entirely pixel and not 3D it had a better story then both these games, the characters had personalities other than depressing wreck (cloud) or perma emo verging on emotionless stick (Squall) and a better villain then the metro (Sephiroth who had a motherly wrought insanity) or well, god damn it pick your damned villain, from the first witch to the evil space robo bitch witch in the big black abyss of times long past... or whichever one in between =_= Either way, FF7 was a big step forward, more interesting and fun than 8 and overall a better than 8, but neither is better than 6 haha!

I love you. FINAL FIGHT FANS UNITE! *Insert conventional HIYA! From pressing the start button* The article that talked about Final Fight's crapness is wrong..I've played Final Fight for my SNES and Final Fight One for my GBA. Not to mention I even bought Streetwise for my PS2.. ..And just GUESS where my character's fighting style, name, and original outfit was from? =D *Sniff* Makes me cry that people talk Final Fight down like this.. *Sniff* And yes Orgeon Trail sucked ass.. I hated that game, scarred me for life.

I have to agree with ya when it comes to the beat 'em ups. They're among my favourite game types, not to mention they're being brought to life on the MMO market, with "Pi Story", "Dragonica", "Dungeon and Fighter", and others. It's games like those that make me wish people would give more importance to 2D... T_T *is a spriter, who would like to see 2D games fully ressurected* As for FF7... Well, to begin with, i never liked Final Fantasy. Reasons: - Sissy-looking characters: And yeah, I'm looking at you, Vaan!!! - Monotonous battle system: There is only one turn-based RPG I ever liked, which is Chrono Trigger... It didn't have materias, nor GFs, nor Limit Breaks... But at least the characters actually MOVED around the battle set! - Random Encounters: It was a nice trick 10 years ago, but... can we please put enemies on screen, now?! To be honest, turns should just die already. With current technology, it's possible to have real-time battles, with a decent artificial inteligence. Nothing revolutionary, but it can't be that hard to make your party members, I dunno... Get the fuck outta the way, once the final boss is casting his strongest attack? And before people start bringing it up... Turns aren't strategy. They're just a bunch of pre-recorded sequences, being selected on a menu, and a system which decides on it's own if the characters miss the attacks or not. Plus, I don't see where's all the fuss about 3D graphics, which is one of the many things that made people practically COME, back then. I mean... Princess Crown (Sega Saturn) uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pX4E9boJ3zYGuilty Gear Series (Various Platforms) uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TUZb45qYEjYOdin Sphere (Playstation 2) uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gI-V3Uw1b3URagnarok Battle Offline (PC) uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NXFyybgOQYA... With so much 2D still has to offer, I dunno why people ignore it so much... Plus, Another thing that bugs me... FF7 was more of a 2D game, rather than 3D. Most of it was pre-rendered! XD

Quoted for truth..
I must say After playing FFIV on the DS, which I still have yet to beat. The characters in 7 are nothing more of cardboard cut outs of 4's regimen. Cecil was like, the original Cloud, until he turned into a Paladin. Tifa was the original Rosa, just no expression of love...At all..And this list goes on..Even with Cid! The Cid in 4 is just like the Cid in 7 with no swearing!..
..And I played 7 when I got my PS2. Which was about..3 years ago.
FFX was my favourite.

Ok, fontes, you are officially obtaining 20 points of win if your a GG fan =D
-Leaves and comes back with ever version (including rebuilds) of every GG game ever produced-
=D LOVE!
I agree though, to this point the turn based system is a relic, and yet, even though it is I find that I can still sit down and play them, though I also agree that a lot of the characters are verging on the opposite gender, I just block it out.
Yeah, the games have there flaw's, but overall if I came to hate turn based gaming and random encounters I wouldn't still be playing the first (and rebuild of) final fantasy tactics. >.>

Save for the prick of a judge. I loved tactics.
Besides. Turn based games will never die, shit, look at how old chess is and a bunch of people still play it and consider it intelligence more then reaction, thus you look at turn based the same. There is no reaction time involved, instead you have to be thinking ahead of your opponent, its one of the beauties of it.

Honestly thats my least favorite version of FF:T by rebuild i meant war of the lions, but yeah that one would have been better if the conditions set by the judge weren't so easy to not break. Though I must admit on occasion that bastard did screw me over.
But yeah, turn based always was a favorite.

... I litterally fell asleep playing FFT... -__-
That's why I prefer real time. Not only you have to think, you gotta do it FAST! Plus, I don't like to rely on random probabilities, to determine of I miss my attacks or not. That's why even if I still love Phantasy Star, it's still not my favourite RPG.
And since you bring it up... Yeah, I love Guilty Gear. However, I leave a few exceptions...
- Guilty Gear Dust Strikers - Guilty Gear 2: Overture
Like.. WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING?! Even the Guilty Gear Petit series is better than these! >_<

I also grew with TB, and at a time, I actually enjoyed it... till the time I also grew tired of them, noticing that TB relies more on luck than actual skill. That's when my interest was turned fully to real time. It's fine to have character development, and being able to fight enemies you couldn't even scratch before, yeah... ... but must it all come down to relying on your level and equipment ONLY? Well... for some reason I hated WOW, and I also got tired of MMOs... I prefer to actually control my character, ya know?
