"About a decade ago, schools became subject to mass criticism over their negligent care and abusive practices in student expulsion. As the number of delinquents rejected from their own schools increased, so did the number of juvenile gangs and youth crimes. It was eventually decided that the best way to remedy the situation was to try and keep students in school while enforcing harsher methods of discipline. However, doing this would mean a significant drop in the over-all academic standard. To cope with this, the government issued yearly evaluations, forcing schools to meet difficult requirements or face penalties. With increasing classroom capacities and hazardous work environments for teachers, a better system was needed to manage students and alleviate the burdens on the faculty. Thus 5 years after the initial education reforms, a new method of regulation was proposed. A new system where select students would be granted the responsibility to monitor and admonish others for their misconducts. Gathering popularity over time, the proposition has eventually become to be known as “The Pillar System”." - XIN Epsiode 18. Created by Max Mao and Steven Lim
Public High School #259 has just finished being built, the faculty have just joined, and everything is running smoothly, and is falling right into the first day of the schools opening. Being this school is in Long Beach California the school is one of the schools with the highest hopes. As finally the first day of this school is about to begin.
Durring the very first day it opened the Staff of PHS #259 highered a muscle man fgihter to take down the students, or test them in their abilities, of course the students didn't know this, but their lack of aid in the auditorium was sufficient enough, well lack of helping the students. Mr. Katashi aided the fighter in crushing the students, just a little test set up for the chosing of something, which is still a mystery.
sometime after the assembly the strongest fighter was chosen as the schools School Captain, who has chosen her Pillars. the Varsity Captain Aureus, a somewhat mysteriouse boy, his intentions for the school still unclear. The Student Body President Saint, his actions in the attack from The Gods give off a feeling of helplessness, but is that just a cover for something else? The Head Of School Newsletter is a girl named Max, spunky some say, but mostly perfect for the position of sneak and destroy.
But that would have to wait, for a Gang of the city has made its move to get to Mr. Asiv for stealing an object needed by them for moral reasons. The two of the people that attacked where two low level members who's names are. Apollo and Hephaestus, yes their abilities have driven them insane and they believe they are the Greek Gods themselves. They where defeated, not easilly defeated it left heavy damages to the school, that will maybe be repaired sometime in the future, probably.
Asiv has called a meeting of hand picked students, some have shown promise from the last battle against Hepheastus and Apollo, others have shown their worth in other events such as the Evaluations, or fights Asiv had watched. most of them agreed, the others where persuaded, but they where beign sent by Mr. Asiv to save The School Captain Mitsuki from the clutches of The Gods.
it has been rumored that Asiv is Zeus's half brother.

History Continuation In order to curb student violence in city streets school administrators to institute a system of corporal punishment, allowing the teachers to beat bad students instead of having them removed from the schools. This allowed them to control the student populace, however it caused a dramatic rise in violence within the schools themselves as students fought back against the faculty... and against each other. Again the administrators implemented new regulations to counter attack this violence. Thus, the Pillar system was born. Under this new system several of the strongest students were elevated above the others and charge with the task of maintaining the peace and order while stopping any violent actions taken by other students. However the escalation would only continue... At a school named Varron Academy, students fought back against the faculty and administrators who propagated this system and were able to break the stranglehold. Soon with the help teachers, who found the system immoral from the start, they began to work out new ways to maintain the peace through open discussion and no longer did violence control the dynamics of education. However while some schools followed this example others fell into a downward spiral from which there was no escape... One such school was Public High School 259, the very school you will soon be attending, in Long Beach, California. There a girl by the name of Mitsuki held the title of captain for almost her entire time enrolled. This provided stability, however it would also be a part of the problem. Though her pillars would often switch and were sometimes unreliable, she was able to prevent much of the violent riots that took place at other schools. Those who hated the system feared her, those who sought its shelter admired her, and all respected her. When she departed without a successor, there was a time of no pillars and no captain... stagnation. This peace was nothing more than the revitalization of dormant elements. Within a months the school erupted into mass chaos with more violent riots that any other school had ever seen. They soon poured into the streets causing extensive damage to the buildings around and sending many people running in terror. Not a day passed with one of these violent mass outbursts. It seemed proof that there were some students that would never change from their violent ways. A solution was needed before the infection could spread. The traditional Pillar system would not suffice with the extent the chaos had gotten to, something more drastic would be necessary. Thus a new system was implemented. All the violent students remaining in other schools would now be transferred to these "Magnet" schools. With all the worst elements of the student populace in one school teachers soon became more like prison guards with less focus on teaching and more focus on keeping the violence contained. Within the walls... it was a free for all. As the administrator behind it all announced upon its implementation. "Here we have the strongest, toughest, and most violent students more around the city... but which one of you is truly superior to the rest?! Here is your chance to prove yourself! Conquer your class! Conquer the school! Let's see if any one of you can get the rest to submit to them... prove if you're really the strongest!" Student were now pitted against each other in bids to conquer the school. The goal to get all the students of PHS 259 to follow behind you. Soon students no longer poured into the streets in riots, they fought controlled battles and devised strategies for building their own power base. For all intents and purposes the problem was solves, soon other schools arose to hold more of these bad apples. System was about control, about gaining control... for the students. It seemed as though that is all many of these children wanted... control.

I was the beginning of Public High School #259.
I was also the end of it.
Sean Barker...does that name strike fear into your heart? It should. You should always fear the ones who were there at the beginning, the ones who created the very path you stand upon. They are ones who can change fate and destiny themselves.
I was one such maverick. Part of a group of four, actually. Long before 259. We started out as a gang way back in high school; myself, Zachary Asiv, Raikeru “Ender” Sikaki and Alexander Malice. Zack, he was our...leader. He was always up to something. He had such big plans, wanted to change the world, make it better. Everybody loved him and the others. Me, though...I was just a nuisance to them, to the GREAT AND POWERFUL ASIV .
They refused to listen to me, to my ideas. Treating me like a child while they fought and beat the shit out of anyone who looked at them funny. They always thought they were better than me, than everyone. Smarter, faster, stronger...What was it Zack used to say? Oh, that's right. 'One day we will be ontop of the world.' But we didn't get there, did we? No, the gang fell apart and we all split up.
'Course, we reunited years later at his behest...and life went on like nothing changed. Zack developed this 'Wonder Cure' to turn the meek, the sick , pathetic little people into contributing members of society. And he wanted us to be a part of it, to make good on that promise he made to us in our early years. He made the damn thing to bring back Lin, his “beloved”...he didn't see the potential in it that I did, but I wasn't about to let him overshadow me again. I told him that he needed to test it first to make sure it would work or he might lose Lin forever. He took the bait.
We opened a school, a special school with corporal punishment in Long Beach, California, the infamous Public High School #259. Our legacy. For Asiv, it meant he could test the product on any students that were badly injured or weren't strong enough to withstand the punishments of the teachers and the other students. It was also perfect for my little plan, even better that this little area had an...unusually high concentration of people with 'super powers'. They call it 'Qi'.
I started gathering the data from those that fought the student hierarchy and the teachers, tracking their fights and progress. As time went on, I developed my own 'Wonder Cure' based off Asiv's, and I made it so much better: in addition to increasing cell regeneration, it also increased strength, speed, stamina, intellect....With it, I could turn the students into fighting machines: Soldiers!
But Asiv was starting to get suspicious. He was the one being all noble and shit, trying to protect those kids. All they were, were test subjects. Little lab rats, scurrying around making it easier for me to collect more and more data. I convinced him to let me lead the Correctional Facility, to house the real trouble makers in the school, particularly the transfers that came from PHS #552 in New York. The Enforcers were employed at #259 to bring these people in to me. Their introduction started a riot and Asiv was killed...or so I thought.
That didn't matter much to me: I had my test subjects. I learned MUCH from them, the various side effects of using the drugs on a Qi user, how much better they became with a little training. It broke some of their minds, but that only made them more susceptible to my experiments.
Unfortunately , some of the students from the school didn't like the idea of their friends being my test subjects. They stormed the facility and 'rescued' their little friends. They actually succeeded! I had to go into hiding for a little while...but I didn't stay there long.
In the beginning, all I wanted was the under belly of the world. To have the Yakuza, the Cripps, the Bloods, the Chinese and Italian Mafia, Hell's Angels, the Triade under my control. The drugs I made got me there far easier than I expected. Before long, every major gang in the world was smuggling or distributing my little vials en masse. I'm rather pleased to say they were very popular, especially among athletes and the elite. I became rich. INFAMOUS. But once I had the lucrative world of drugs in my pocket, I found it rather...wanting. No challenge, you see. I figured it was time to move on to bigger and better things. Starting with myself.
I changed in my time away, took the data from those kids and used it to make myself better. I gained so much power, strength that the likes of the more ambitious students could only DREAM of. I gathered some of the worst sort from the criminal underworld, lured them to me with promises of power similar to my own. The fools. They would never have the strength I had. I gave them just enough so that they were superior to the 'above-average' person and introduced my little project to the governments of the world. I called them 'The Enforcers', a throw back to my first attempt at making super soldiers. The world leaders were rather eager to make a deal to get their hands on my formula. By the end of 2010, there was at least twenty of my facilities in every major power in the world.
Within a few weeks, I had become the most powerful and influential man in the world. On one side, I seemed like a relatively legitimate war monger, looking to balance the powers of the world and earn a profit. On the other side, however...I amassed my own military with the resources they gave me, my own little stock pile of weapons of mass destruction. I may not have been the most powerful militant force in the world, but I was also the one no one knew existed.
In my absence, the school was destroyed in an earth quake and then rebuilt, better than ever now that Asiv had returned and I was all but forgotten. New students started coming in...and I knew it was time for me to return. These children had thwarted me once already. I wasn't about to let that happen again. Initially, I wanted to simply wrest control of the school from Asiv, but there was some...resistance. Those damn kids wanted to save their precious school, didn't want to be used as my experiments anymore. Some of them even died fighting my men. Ungrateful whelps. What a waste of data.
I had enough of losing to Asiv and his little entourage of teenage vigilantes. I decided to put an end to it, to EVRYTHING HE PUT ME THROUGH.
So, I destroyed his precious school. And for forcing me to go to all that trouble, I unleashed hell upon the world.
Single handedly, I rained Armageddon down across every continent, every country, every CITY on Earth. I dropped EMP's to eliminate technology, unleashed a little nano-virus that rendered gunpowder and explosives useless, sent in my Experiments, my soldiers to overthrow the weakened governments. I leveled New York City, Moscow, Hong Kong, London, Baghdad. Those who didn't surrender...were eliminated. Within forty-eight hours, 95% of the world was under my control, plunged into a dark age.
There aren't very many people left, truthfully. I'd say about 1/3 of the world's original population survived...and that number continues to dwindle as each day passes. Currency is next to useless: I have no desire to restructure and rebuild society. Why should I? What did it ever do for me? I'm the one making it better, taking people in, giving them my drugs and making them more than they ever could have been before! Citizens seem content enough with trading, anyway. Bodies still litter the streets, even a year later. Buildings crumble and decay. The natural world seems intent on taking back the urban jungle I destroyed...a return to the way things were. Fitting.
Of course...there are still resistances. Those fucking students, the ones that survived the bombs, have banded together and are by far the most annoying. But that's all it is: an annoyance. Their existence is, if possible, even more insignificant than before. They fight for scraps of my empire that I scarcely care for anymore, telling survivors that THEY will be the ones to bring me down! But they are not united. No. It seems old blood continues to get in the way of their collective purpose. Thus, they are of absolutely no threat to me.
I've already defeated the Paladins and the Dragons fell once to me already, though they seem to be making a comeback. Other so called 'gang's have been silent since my ascension: Hirotaki Defence Force, the Student Liberation Front and the pathetic Non-Aggression Committee have either died off or scattered to the wind.
Even the “Dragons”, the strongest of all the gangs remaining in Long Beach, cannot compare to my might! They train their soldiers in martial combat and, thus far, they have performed better than expected as they take over my facilities in the area. Even more so now that Leon Sudeki, Mathew Amtrum and David Blaze appear to have returned to foster their legacy. My original Experiments. They owe me much. So, I'll let them have their little rebellion for now. I want to see if they are worthy of what I gave them.
Speaking of my former Experiments, the ones that failed appear to have banded together under the banner of “The Children” or “The Free Experiments” with Orion Smith as their leader. Escapees from my facilities, minor set backs on the long road to the perfect soldier. A nuisance more so than anything. His time will come and I will retake my property and make them anew!
The Crows still put up a token resistance to my forces, even though they have done next to nothing Asiv is with them, with his old lackey Jonathan “Unfettered” Winters, who leads them. They profess “freedom” and “equality” and try to make a better life than I can offer the citizens of MY WORLD. Such ARROGANCE! As little a threat as they are, Asiv is with them, somehow still ALIVE after all this time. I will fell them first, to show my people that NO RULE can compare to that of Sean Barker.
There is one other group who stands in my way, but my attempts at reconnaissance have failed. A band of 'Rogues', if you will, who claimed the territory up near the old school. They seem to be...dangerous, but an otherwise minor threat. They seem more content with killing any civilians who try to stake a claim in their lands than rallying up support to fight against me, however. The only thing I don't like about them is that I know nothing about them. Not who the leaders are or what they look like. I intend to find out more about them in time. Hopefully, they will prove worthy of my attention.
But all that is rather trivial in comparison to what I have accomplished. I am stronger than I ever was before. Nations fell before my might. My armies are in all four corners of the globe. I rule THE WORLD! The Dragons, The Experiments, the Crows....not even ASIV can even DREAM of opposing me. And if they dare, I will crush them like an insect under my heel.
IALONE have changed the fate of the entire human race!! I control the world! I CONTROL DESTINY ITSELF.
I AM THE GOD OF THIS WORLD AND YOU WILL SUBMIT TO YOUR MASTER. The reign of Sean Barker has only just begun.
