...Since I have no idea where the stickied update thread went off to, and since we haven't had a staff meeting in discussion over potential new sub-boards, aside from what's been posted in the staff lounge---And because it's rather hard to get everyone together at once these days, just taking the initiative (Mr. Malice or any other mods can shoot this thread down if they want) on making this thread.

Anyways...

Announcements of August 27, 2008:

-Quest Threads: ...Are moving slowly. Waiting on Matthew Amtrum & Oleysa deBogart. Will contact them, and try to get that thread moving within 3-7 days, for the sake of the other captives. My own ass included in the 'Assault' thread.

-Staff: We need to collaborate again. The third meeting never happened. How does this Saturday/Sunday sound?

-Weekly News Thread: >_> Has anyone seriously been doing this?

-Classes: The sign-ups are there! Look for the sub-board with the appropriate name to it. You want us to make sub-boards, but will you actually use them!? HMMM... =D?

-Qi's & Items:---Okay. I'm really, REALLY sorry about all this. My mind's been cluttered, and I've easily a few months behind. I've got an idea to organize this out better, with possible incentive for the rest of the member base to help-out. Pending on how it goes.

This was already agreed upon by the staff a while back, but I will be modifying the suggestion board so that it is now an 'Idea/Suggestion/Help' board, so as to keep the OOC and the more 'technical' bits seperate. In other words, the 'Technical---The 'Help Board'. For... uh... lack of better terminology to support all three categories in one board.

'Help' as in either receiving help from the board (staff and/or members) and/or givng help to the board (again, staff and/or member).

Because I'm busy, and because I'd like to give incentive to people to help out their fellow RPers (get more friendly, be more supportive, even if blindly so), etcetera, I will be offering rewards for people who help out others requesting aid on creationg/modification of their Qis/Items.

...It'll make more sense when I actually have it up.

Making an announcement on an amendment:

It probably wasn't the best idea to say that the current quest thread only deserves a one-shot post from all participants. Repealing that the "one-shot" limitation to avoid further confusion on intent, I encourage you to have at it. I'll be making a response post by Wednesday by the latest for the next round.

After a discussion between Mods, we have decided to put VESPYR as staff (probationary until LEon Approves). She is very helpful, knowledgable, and has the other Staffs full vote of confidence in most areas. Feel free to Address her with any Questions or concerns you may have!

Item System Update

I would just like to remind people that aside from item sales (either from my failure to announce this or from forgetfulness), that the current item system is defunct. I repeat, any item systems prior to the in-the-works v3.0 is considered defunct.

Material purchases and custom purchases will not be recognized until the new item system is organized. Any and all purchases made as of right now will be ignored, but may be referred to later.

It has not yet been decided if previous purchases will be allowed to be upgraded, either from borrowed systems of other sites (with proper citation of credit provided), but for now I apologize for the inconvenience and the wait.

For what I can reveal of the item system as of right now is that it will be a 3-part system and parts 2 & 3 may be released earlier then the primary part 1.

Would just like to note to the populace that the mod-approved NPC rules to the Personal NPCs, Gang NPCs, and Army NPCs have been approved by general moderator consensus and are effective as a new on-probation system.

If you have already created combat NPCs, please take the time to make sure you have yourself up to date with the rules here for a model on Personal NPCs (rules have spread by word of mouth, but we'll get something up and proper soon) and here for Gang NPCs. As there aren't too many Army NPCs as of yet, it should be easier to manage on a person-to-person basis for the time. Please PM the staff if you've chosen to make a massive update to your NPCs, redistribution of statistics under the new rules, etc.

The final word on if this system stays as it is, gets modified, or gets thrown out is of course up to Leon's final decision.
