Since Paragon, she has become much more approachable and tends to make friends with quite the variety of people as long at they take the initiative to keep up a steady conversation and are interesting enough. She is rather blunt, and down to the point. Sometimes she has a bad temper. To add on to this, she is also very stubborn and determined. She is afraid to show any sort of weakness and is still possessive over her friends. On the lighter note, Reira is out-going, random, compassionate, loyal and is a devoted friend. Depending on her mood and situation, a darker side of her may show. These traits have developed over the time working under her Uncle Demetri and with the influence of the infamous Keira. History
Pre-Paragon: Reira spent most of her childhood in Paris. It was a normal childhood, that is until her parents began fighting and their relationship grew un-fixable. One day, when the fighting was at its climax, Samara left Reira and her father, running away with her cousin Demetri. It would be the last time she saw her mother for a very, very long time. The sense of abandonment Reira felt was overwhelming. She loved her mother and Demetri very much…but when they left, the love she had for them morphed into hatred. A hatred that covered how much she missed them.
Soon, Reira forced herself to forget about Samara Marino, the women that gave birth to her. She would forget about her mother’s past life at 253, where she fell for Matrim Aldon and Luke Gallagher. She would forget about the Marino’s and their relations in the Mafia. Reira would forget, and she would change from a sweet girl, to a cold, bitter one. She fell into the wrong crowd at school, stealing, drinking, and being a ‘rebel’ as her father called her. It was no good. Her ability to see ghosts didn’t help tons either. It only added onto the stress.
Her father knew he needed to do something and he did. He took them out of Paris, away from all the bitter memories. The DeMorvicks moved to Japan, where he forced Reira to attend St. Paragon’s Prison School. It was another strike of abandonment in her life. Lately, her father had given up on her. Sending her to Paragon’s proved that. That was okay. Reira was used to being alone. She doubted her stay at the school would be pleasant, but one could only assume.
Paragon: Reira was wrong at this place. Of course she was bitter when she first arrived at the school, but the place changed her for the better. Reira slowly learned about her mother’s past and found the reasons behind why she left her as a child in the first place. Slowly, she’d learn to forgive her. Once she did that, a heavy burden was removed from her and she was able to move on. In doing so, Reira made plenty of dear friends. The most important, Matrim Gallagher. Who knew he’d be the love of her life, her first and only.
The two of them went through a lot together, from replacing his heart, escaping from the school, and facing the Paladins. Well, they didn’t face the Paladins together, Matrim ran off and they were separated. By this point in time, Reira was feeling pathetic. She wanted to help, to do anything then just sit back and wait for the storm to blow over. That was where Dantalian came in, a demon spirit from the afterlife. The spirit had possessed her at other times, but this time she let him do it willingly if he could use her body to inflict damage upon the Paladins. He did just that, not caring for the injuries he was causing Reira’s body. This was the beginning of a long, and very odd friendship between the demon spirit and herself.
After the Paladins had conquered the school, the students were given a choice to attend another school in Alaska, called Point Hope. Reira didn’t have a choice, she was still on a hospital bed when she was shipped to Alaska. The only thing that was on her mind was Matrim. She was worried about never seeing him again.
Point Hope: Reira didn’t like Point Hope. There was nothing for her there. It was snowy, cold, and depressing…but she attended her classes nonetheless. At one specific assembly, her opinions of the place changed. There was something here for her after all. She found Matrim. At first he failed to remember her, which threw her off a little, but eventually his memory came back and their reunion came at last. Things would get better and time moved on. Changes would happen.
The biggest change was caused by Andrew Black. Reira fell into a trap of his and this caused her and Matrim to break up. Things went further downhill from there and she turned to Andrew. Why? To eventually try to kill him. He had his uses of course. He managed to toughed her up. Each day she spent with him was a living hell. He broke her to pieces and rebuilt a monster. That monster was not Reira, but a personality her Qi created to protect her. It took her a while, but she managed to get rid of his poison. She freed herself of Andrew with an attempt at him life. What he created died, and she could be herself again. **Keira was born because of this.
Her and Matrim, after a few complications, got back together again and things were smooth sailing from then on. The only thing that would give her any problems was her Qi. At times, she had trouble controlling such power. Her Qi dealt with spiritual energies from Dantalian, whom she made a contract with. She was determined to control him, and her raging Qi. Another dramatic event was the death of her mother. Other then that, life was good. Matrim proposed to her and she accepted. Her life couldn’t get any better---wait, spoke too soon. Matrim left. Yep, left. He didn’t even tell her where he was going. The boy only left a note…on a post it that said “I’ll be leaving for a while. Don’t know when I’ll be back. Don’t leave me when I’m gone.” Cause that was reassuring! Needless to say, Reira was pissed.
She wouldn’t wait around for him. Oh, she would find him, give him a piece of her mind, then leave him. First things first, she needed to break her contract with Dantalian. With him, her Qi was corrupted, too powerful and she often ended up hurting people dear to her. And so, she broke the contract, making him swear to never show his face to her again and take away all her memories of him. He did so. She now had no Qi. For the second step, she’d be hunting Aternity Awren, one of Matrim’s better friends. She knew he could tell her where he went, after all, Aternity was a teleporter. What better way to get somewhere?
Aternity failed to tell her anything at first, but she managed to get him to crack. Matrim was in California, attending a different school eh. Let’s check up on him shall we? Convincing Aternity to port her to this school, she packed her bags and couldn’t wait for some fun in the sun.Well, her stay at PHS 259 didn't last long. She reunited with Matrim, gave him hell, then everything was all good. Of course she agreed to transfer to PHS 42 upon his request. And there she stayed. Only her stay there didn't last long, as she went to Venice on an urgent call from her Uncle. During her time in Venice, Reira got a call from Matrim telling her how he had been unfaithful and broke up with her. Then, she returned to 42.
After some drama, she got back together with Matrim for a second time. This time it looked good. They got married and she even had a gorgeous baby boy with him, whom they named Shayne Tristan Gallagher. Her luck went down the drain again. Moments after she gave birth, the doctors were paid to put her into a purposely induced coma, all thanks to Demetri. Her Uncle did this because one of his enemies had found out about her whereabouts and in order to protect her, he needed her to come with him. Demetri knew she wouldn't go willingly, hence the need for the sedatives. Leaving Shayne behind, Demetri took his niece out of the country, never to see or hear from her Matrim again. Hopefully, he'd think she was dead.
Inter-Years
When she woke up from her medically induced coma, she found herself in her bed in Venice. Surprisingly enough she wasn't alone, no. Demetri was with her. (Unknown to her was the fact that Gabriel and Alexis had helped Demetri transport Reira's body to Venice. G and A believed that Reira was dead and left before her miraculous awakening.) And it was him who had to relay to her what her past was. As far as Reira knew, she had been working for Demetri for her whole life as a mafia member..and attended a few 'schools' in a different countries. She knew various things about her past, just nothing about Matrim, or of her past Qi's and friendships. Aside from blurry memories of Gabriel Seran and Mischa Kuzenov, Reira was a new person to say the least. She knew there was something wrong with her memories, but has come to accept it.
For six months she remained with her uncle, helping him mange his dealing in the Venetian mafia. Keira did all the dirty work. Demetri knew about her, and accepted her as well. What was there to be done? However, he cared for the well being of his niece a little too much. When Keira came home one night with a large blade wound across her back, he decided it was time to send her somewhere safer, somewhere she'd be able to live an ordinary life, but where he could keep an eye on her. A school she had attended at an earlier stage of her life, 259. Seemed like a good choice...Before she departed Reira and Keira had a mental collision, which resulted in the merging of the two personalities.
So, off Reira went, like a good little girl.
