The one place she would feel safe in all the craziness. The art room, the place where her heart could express itself safely on canvas with paint. Where she felt at home at.
So Aurora sat down, and pulled her brushes out of her back pack. Her own set, well worn and well taken care of. Several paints were set out on the table before her, a canvas to her side.
Slowly, she began choosing her colors. A sunset would be nice to paint, just to get out the emotions she was feeling in the wide color range. Everything from dark blue to bright yellows and reds.
The class was busy and talking, but Aurora tried to block them all out and concentrate on her painting. Or what would be her painting. But in the next moment, the class would fall silent.
Aurora tripped, slamming into the canvas and toppling everything over. She fell, the paint in her hand going over her blue sweater. Wide eyed, she looked up at everyone as they stared back. Her sweater was ruined...as well as any trust she had for this room.
"S-sorry..."
It was meek, and Aurora stared at the ground, begining to clean everything up. She felt horrid. Like she would begin crying at any moment. Her eyes stung, her throat felt dry. But she pulled off her ruined sweater and threw it as well as the ruined canvas into the trash. Then she began to clean the paint off the floor. What a wonderful day...

Aris turned his head as he heard a large comotion. He hadn't been drawing anything anyways. He had painter's block. It was quite annoying actually. And he wasn't much of a painter. But for some reason his schedule was to Advanced Art.
And there went an Advanced Art girl who just toppled over many paintings and Aris smiled meekly. It was funny, but he felt bad for her. She seemed so serious. He paused and wrestled with what is left of his conscious. And then soon he found himself, wet cloth in hand, on the floor cleaning up a bunch of spilled red paint.
He sighed deeply and turned to the girl. "This would have made a beautiful painting too." he said as he smiled at her warmly.

Suddenly, some one was helping her. Aurora looked up to see some guy in her class cleaning up the paint beside her. Her dark hazel eyes were brimming with tears, but Aurora bit her bottom lip, not letting them fall.
Who was he?
"This would have made a beautiful painting too."
"It was going to be a sunset...to clear my mind..."
Her voice was soft...meek. Just like Aurora herself. She didn't like drawing attention to herself. Didn't like causing scenes...just like she had. Her fingers curled and she continued to fight the tears that wanted out. She wouldn't cry here.
"T-thank you."

He sent out his hand to catch her cleaning wrist. He was now looking more serious, more determined. He seemed to have set his mind on something without thinking it over too much. He would lift her hand off the floor and attempt to look her in the eye. "Go paint the picture... I'll clean." He said in the same soft voice.
Aris then put his attention back on the floor. He was not going to take no for an answer. The sunset was more important to him than a little mess. He would clean it up all because he would rather see her picture than see her clean. Besides what was he going to do? He could probably only draw half as well as her.
It seemed as though the main color spilled was red. But the tube that contained red was still half full. Aris chuckled thinking it must have been full to spill this much. But the mess would be cleaned up in no time. And seeing as Aris was wearing jeans and a black shirt he was in no need to be clean about it.

"Go paint the picture... I'll clean."
He had grabbed her wrist, and made her stop cleaning up the horrid mess she had made. She squeaked in shock at that one, then stuttered out a few "um"s and "uh"s. What could she do? Apparently he was set on cleaning up her mess.
"...Thank you...."
She bowed her head, still embarassed, but Aurora stood up. She'd need a new canvas...that much was for sure. Picking one out was easy...but her eyes kept drifting to the boy. The red head didn't feel right, him cleaning up her mess like that. At least her tears weren't fighting to get out anymore.
"..."
She went about to start the painting, being careful not to trip this time. Aurora just wanted to paint her picture, and take it home to hide it in her apartment. Something to brighten up the dull area. It was nearly empty at the moment.
"Thanks..."
Softer, he more than likely wouldn't hear, but she felt like saying it. Right! To the painting! Aurora began, handling the part that would be least seen first... the darker colors. Edges of the sky...the darker parts of the water on the bottom. Waves, water rippling across by wind. That was easy enough. The actual sun would just be peeking out over the water almost... the depest color red she could find. The water would reflect the color in the sky...which would face the farther out it went.
Once she started working, Aurora didn't pay much attention to anything else. This was her life, painting. Something she did well, and had a passion for. The love of her soul expressed in paints on the canvas.

OOC: "..."= FUNNIEST Dialogue I have EVER seen!
IC: Aris half mindedly took out the mop from the storage room that was on the other side of the room. He was mostly paying attentiont o her drawing. Not exactly what she was drawing, but the way she drew. The way she seemed to lose sight of everything but her goal. He almost admired her determination. Almost.
But the mess she made was not ALL too bad. Just a few bottles of paint on the floor and a broken painting holding thingy. Aris honestly had no idea what to call it, but it was of no consequence. He picked it up and layed it onto the counter. The teacher gave him a bad look because he wasn't painting, but she didn't say anything because she didn't want to clean up the mess.
Aris put away the mop and the rag into the closet. He picked the paints up and layed them on the counter as well. And as soon as he did so Aris turned around and walked towards Aurora. He didn't say a word, but his awed breathing could be heard from behind her. It was a beautiful painting. He knew he had made the right choice when he told her to leave it. Something inside him had made him do that and it was right.
Now Aris was no painter, but he did understand the principles. And he clearly saw how much detail was put in. How clearly the shading was made. How the dark colors blended in with each other. How the beautiful tip of the sun stood out from the ocean. "Beautiful." was all he uttered under his breath. The painting truly was. It was beautiful, well drawn, soothing. It was... The Sunset.

ooc: um... thanks? ^^;;;
"Beautiful."
That word drew her from the world of her painting. She looked shocked, stunned really. Some one was watching her? The blush was already forming on her cheeks as she turned to see who it was.
"Um...thanks! I think...it's not all that great."
She bowed her head slightly, and pushed a few strands of bright red hair behind her ear. Who was he? Maybe it would be best to say her name first...
"I want to hang this in my apartment...when it's done though."
But she felt like explaining herself first. For some odd reason. Her dark hazel eyes went back to the picture. Back to the uncomplete sunset.
"My name is Aurora Nevin."

Aris simply stood, more paying attention to the painting than her. But don't misread him. He was a multi focuser. He was able to remember every word she said, until of course the next day, and focus on the magnificent painting. He turned to her as she began to speak of her apartment. He smiled lightly and nodded. "Yes it would look quite beautiful on a wall. It would be an everlasting window to see the setting sun." Aris said to her quietly.
It was nice to have a painting. Unlike life paintings never changed, they stayed the same. The sun would not rise or set, it would stay in that one, everlasting and beautiful moment. Then her eyes returned to her painting and he looked at it two. "Aurora Nevin." was what she said her name was.
Aris was unsure of what to say, but he decided upon not saying anything. A picture was sometimes worth more than words could describe. Aris sat down onto the floor and looked at the painting and the brush used. "I'm Aris." He said. He didn't commonly share his last name. It was slightly unusual.

"Yes it would look quite beautiful on a wall. It would be an everlasting window to see the setting sun."
Well, he said things a little...odd. The dark hazel eyes looked back at him, then her hand lifted to continue painting. If all Aris wanted to do was watch...then he could.
The girl once again got lost in her painting. Blending the colors as best she could...the sun set needed to blend well in order for it to look correct.
She kept at it, painting everything as well as she could. Several times during this though, she smudged different paint colors on her pale face. It didn't matter, she'd wash it off later.
But finally, she stepped back and just smiled. It was done. Her dark hazel eyes took it all in.
"Well, what'ya think?"

He paused, once again he was searching for the right word. Pages of the dictionary, encyclopedia, books of fine art. Many many words and numbers and definitions and thousand of pictures and memories. But then something bigger arose in his mind, it was a name scribbled into his thoughts. He tried reading it, but it was unfocused until the clear cursive handwriting became legible. It said, 'Auroa'. He smiled and turned to the girl.
"It has an Aura.... emenating life and beauty and...." He paused and grinned uselessly. "Nevermind. I'm lost for words. All I can think of is it reminds me of the name Aurora.... maybe it's because you drew it." He paused then corrected himself, "It is Probably because you drew it, but maybe it just looks like you." He said the theory just popping into his head.
Then the slow dawn of realization came onto him. "Yeah, you both glow, I haven't seen either of you change yet, and you are both covered in paint." he explained to her, he was mostly making a joke, but it was still true.

Both covered in paint? What did that mean? Aurora had been sure she had taken off the ruined sweater... She held her pale hands out before her, sure enough, there was paint on them. Aurora sighed, dark eyes closing.
"I had better clean up then..." She let a weak chuckle escape her lips. Her hazel orbs reopened to look back at the painting. Yeah, it'd go in the apartment. If Zade liked it enough...it would possibly go in the livingroom. Aurora wouldn't make him look at a piece of art he wouldn't like.
"And glow? Maybe it does..." She bit off the end. Aurora didn't want to glow. She just wanted to hide in the corner and let everyone's gaze pass her by. People wouldn't notice her, and wouldn't judge her then.

"Why?" Aris asked as she immediately wanted to clean up. Sometimes his mind could not understand what other people went through. Sad histories made many people afraid and passive. It had done the opposite to him, it had made him stronger, bolder, more angry. And for the life of him he could not find out why some people were so reclusive.
"Why clean up... who's going to care. It's just a little paint." He said. He had actually been referring to the smudges on her face which she had gotten while she was painting. But either way she had no reason to wash off because of a little paint. He couldn't understand why people sometimes showed such little passion. Such little fire, so much doubt so much worry.
"Maybe? It doesn't maybe glow.... it radiates." He said in the same confident powerful almost booming voice. Of course he was not trying to disturb the rest of the class, but he was naturally this way. Naturally a boomer.
