Mathew gave David a charming and sweet smile. One that almost said that he would never dream of causing anyone harm. After all it wasn't MATHEW that put her here. In the end, it wasn't even Linda. Emily put herself here. Walking over to Emily he sat down on the bed, moving his hand to stroke her hair gently, giving her a warm smile. A smile that would turn in to something more when she said she was going to catch up to them. It wasn't exactly mocking, but it wasn't exactly sincere. Mathew just shrugged his shoulders and looked down at the new Ex School Captain.
"Emily there is only one way that you will ever match us. It doesn't matter how strong you get, how fast you become, or how well you take a hit. All of that is meaningless. Just remember what I told you on our date."
He made sure to use the term date, mostly to irk David, but that was what it had been. After all she had owed him a date, not an outing, but a date.
"Whatever you choose to do, no regrets. Embrace what you do, as long as you doubt yourself you will NEVER match us no matter how strong you become." He gave her a small wink as he finished leaning down and planting a small kiss on her forehead, not even a romantic one. A quick brother peck. He wasn't really seeing her in a romantic light anymore, he would fuck her sure. But he felt more of a brotherly affection for her if anything. Like a kid sister trying to prove herself.
He glanced back to Linda when she said that she felt that they should go. He nodded at her, agreeing that they were probably over staying their welcome. Standing up he would move to his Captain, turning back to look at Emily.
"Call me, if you ever feel that you need training." He said flashing her a friendly grin before putting his arm around Linda's shoulder. "Well shall we sister?" He asked waiting for her to confirm before leaving Emily and her other friends to discuss what the Dragons were up to, as that was the most likely thing that they would discuss after their unexpected visit.

"Indeed brother, we shall." Linda smiled and began to walk for the door, then stopped in it and turned to Emily.
"Take care sweety, best wishes always." Linda said to Emily before exiting the room with Mathew's arm wrapped around her. It was funny how things worked out, surprising even. Linda held no hate for Emily, she had simply been in the wrong place, with the wrong title, at the wrong time; Hell it wasn't her fault!
As Linda and Mathew would leave the room, in the hallway Linda noticed David Blaze. Apparently he liked the Bone Dragon just about as much as the three little pigs liked the big bad wolf. Linda found it most humorous that she should be the big bad wolf trying to blow Blaze's house down. The image just plain looked ridiculous in her head. She imagined herself with hair all over her body and sharp fangs, trying to blow a lil' piggy with a white sweatshirt that said "Blaze" on the back in black letters, out of his straw house. It was truly a funny image to have stuck in one's head.
"I'll see you at school cutie." Linda would mumble to David as she and Mathew walked by.
Who knows, maybe this lil' piggy built his house out of brick. ^_~

Trizen eyed the two Dragons wearily, especially since they were being so coy and tactful.
'Black is a neutral colour?' Certainly for fashion, he thought, but symbolically, they did mean Death. He still didn't trust them, their intentions, or their agenda. He chuckled to himself a bit in his mind he realized he thought the same thing twice.
Then Mathew started speaking. He was an odd one. Older, yes, but at the same time, it was awkward to see how forward he was being with Emily. These were the few things that ran through his mind before his eyes jerked open even further on seeing him peck the bedridden Emily. Trizen's teeth ground together as suddenly as his fist, almost like a fourteen year old version of David. The only difference between the two of them was that this freshman had restraint. He had never lost control of himself and he was not about to start here in the hospital. Training? Really? Why would he ever say that? Simply to gain her trust? She's not that vulnerable a person; what was his scam?
Then they left. The two of them. What a bother. In every way, Trizen wished he was strong enough, but he knew he was nowhere near the power level needed to even block a jab with those two. It was moments like these he hoped his presence alone would have been able to intimidate people like Mathew from ever doing and saying everything in such a suspicious manner.
"Don't worry about them, Emily," Trizen said on looking at the young lady, "We'll fix this. I don't know what they're up to, but I really don't trust them." Moreover, he was more curious to know if Mathew knew who shot Emily. Clearly he had to have known. He had to.

"Emily there is only one way that you will ever match us. It doesn't matter how strong you get, how fast you become, or how well you take a hit. All of that is meaningless. Just remember what I told you on our date." Emily kept smiling. Of course, he made sense-- and Emily knew just that. "Whatever you choose to do, no regrets. Embrace what you do, as long as you doubt yourself you will NEVER match us no matter how strong you become."
The white-haired girl was blushing a bit as the Dragon kissed her forehead. "Call me, if you ever feel that you need training."
Emily waved a bit after the two dragons and smiled.
The two left, and everything was quiet.
Emily's head bowed down a little, in thought, as the two dragons left. Heh, no thanks. She would basically want to become stronger on her own. The offer was sweet of Mathew, but for now, Emily wanted to build her strength on her own, along with several comrades. Looking to her right, she looked at the black roses and took one from the bouquet, twirling it's thornless stem around her hand.
"Don't worry about them, Emily," Emily turned to Trizen, "We'll fix this. I don't know what they're up to, but I really don't trust them."
"And I believe they don't trust us." She said, "Do you know what black roses mean, Trizen?"
She had a smile on her face.
Black roses were afterall, a symbol of death.
But people tend to forget what death meant.

On hearing her say what she did, Trizen grinned. Then he grinned harder.
"The Dragons don't know what they're in for," it was probably a different tone than what one was used to hearing Trizen say, but the boy was certainly confident that things would get better before they got any worse. "And besides, I'd imagine we'd get to re-use these roses instead of having to buy new ones. I'd say they bought them for a future occasion."
The raven-haired freshman put his hands in his pocket and looked up at the ceiling for a bit. He was still a little shaken by everything that happened, but he was beginning to mellow out. Confidence in Emily is what he was trying to convey. He really did believe in her and those who supported her.

"The Dragons don't know what they're in for," Emily smiled. Trizen seemed to be bursting with confidence. Emily on the other hand, was neither in lack of or in excess of confidence. She had a firm grip on the ground and knew where she stood in all of this. "And besides, I'd imagine we'd get to re-use these roses instead of having to buy new ones. I'd say they bought them for a future occasion."
Emily shook her head, "That's fine, but don't get too ahead of yourself, Trizen." She told him, smiling. ".. and by the looks of these flowers, they will be dead by tomorrow morning." She said, placing the rose back on it's vase.
"... Black roses are fascinating aren't they?" She said, breaking the silence. "Flowers to symbolize death. Heh, this is a good sign. Why? Well... there can be no rebirth without death."
She was more or less half-talking to herself. But yes...
Rebirth.
