Bastille had called blaze once, once was all she needed. She had to do this, some part of her screamed and kicked at her. She was being a pussy, a complete wimp. And the worst part was, she was doing it on purpose. She knew she wasn’t strong enough…but if she was going, no if they where going to make it through this, she would have to follow along with blazes rules. She hated sending mixed signals. But she couldn’t get it off her mind.
There she stood in the middle of the road. Her eyes looking around. The abandoned mailbox on the side of the high way. It used to be used by the transit system but had long since been forgotten when no mail came to it. She shoved the tape inside the mail box then looked around. She had made sure no one had followed her…she had been able to loose her last spies somewhere around first, and she ducked into a grocery store in order to keep them from seeing her last action. She went through the isles pulling down random canned food…then replacing it. When her crimson eyes caught sight of the stalkers she smirked. They didn’t seem to notice that she noticed and she ended up buying food for the next two weeks. Oh well, all in good favor.
She went home with a bored frown on her face. From the moment she had slipped the tape unnoticed into the mail box, she had placed on the mask, and the assassin was back.
If David got her call telling her to meet at the mail box, and he looked inside, and found it, and then in fact watched it; he would get surprise. Bastilles face would appear as she sat outside in the moonlight of a residential street. She had tapped this during the watchers changing shifts. She knew they hadn’t noticed her catching on yet. She had even shown them some of her secrets in order to make sure they didn’t find out, secrets reserved for keeping snatchers off her tail.
She stood in full light of the camera the moon making her eyes turn a strange bluish purple color. Her hair was down over her shoulders slightly, still growing quickly. She had her hands holding the camera away from her face as her frown was prominent.
“I must be quick, I don’t have much time and don’t panic, this tape sounds way more morbid then it is. Your probably thinking why I don’t have much time right?...i have to be honest with you, I love you…but im not the only one inside of myself…the other part of my physically is still attracted to him, I do not wish to be anymore and I am looking to shatter those lines. But because of this war, and …with falling for you it has only become more and more difficult.”
Her eyes looked down tears welling up in them.
“im not dating you, at least I don’t think I am, but even so im not giving up on you blaze. Mathew plans to manipulate me into his plans, make him do his bidding to honor the contract between us made by my own stupidity. But I don’t want you hurt over this, and I know you don’t want to be hurt or have me hurt and to keep harm from any of us I believe letting myself be manipulated and hurt will not only help me shatter the tie but keep all of us safe.”
Her eyes returned back to the camera straight on and she looked at it as if he where really standing right there.
“I love you, and I need you to know that…I can hardly bare the thought of being far away from you…its sounds silly from a girl like me, sounds out of character huh?”
She laughed and whipped her eyes.
“but its true, “
She was serious now her eyes showing it. She was obviously trying to look cool on the camera and failing miserably. She was trembling so badly it shook the frame slightly.
“as a symbol of my continued feelings, a secret between you and me, I will grow my hair out…I will not cut it short again until whatever mess I tried to stay out of and failed in ends…please wait for me, the moment my ties with Amtrum are shattered I will come back, weather you want me or not…let this be the last cut as a symbol of the start then..” she was dead serious now, hints of the strong Bastille inside brilliantly shinning through. She took her sword and took grab of her hair and cut it short. She looked up at the camera.
“until that moment, your actions where the intelligent ones, I will stay away from you and you stay away from me because my association to the man known as Mathew Amtrum…good night” she said and then the screen went black.
Bastille knew somewhere he would watch it, but she hopped he didn’t. she felt like a little girl? Right now the strong and aggressive, stubborn Bastille was not going to come back for a while.
