Max stayed in the background as Chihiro and Aureus apologized to each other, or at least Aureus did. Chihiro seemed as if she couldn't get those specific words out of her mouth, "She's ... cold or ... past experiences?" Max couldn't come to a good conclusion on why Chihiro couldn't say a simple sorry to Aureus, she wondered if it had to do with anything that might've happened to the girl before in her past. Catching her breath, Max lifted her hands and put her long brunette hair in a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes, the day had already past begun and she was supposed to be getting certain things from the office.
"Now, where was I before those knucle-heads came into the scene, and then Chihiro and Aureus and ... that guy ... ?"
She tried to remember, and then the words came to her brain and Max remembered asking herself something, "Where's the office?" Being a new student 'n all, Max didn't actually know where most things were positioned. Sure, when she got to the office she would get a map of the school and she'd know where all her classrooms were positioned, but right now she didn't exactly know where the office was so -- "I'm sorry ... do any of you guys know where the office is? I've got to ... get my schelude and map, y'know, and stuff..."

What's up with her and the word apologize? It's not that hard to say. Think she's retarded or something? No you idiot. There has to be a better reason than that. But it's none of our business anyway. After the girl spoke, Aureus responded with a simple nod. That's all that was needed, though it still seemed like she took things too personally. Not that he'd push that point, and piss her off again. Something told him she was...scary in her own odd way.
Now that the situation had been resolved, the dark haired boy was just about ready to take his leave. That was until the taller girl asked for help finding the office. Remembering his first day (And Levi's total inability to find the office) The freshmen decided to help her. "Yea...follow me." He said before pushing off the locker and making his way down the hall.

Chi glanced from the boy Aureus to the girl. She needed help finding the office, and he seemed more than happy to show her. It seemed she wasn't quite needed anymore. With a slight wave and a half smile, she moved forward, opening her locker and taking otu an aspirin bottle. That was her original goal for the jaunt afterall.
"well, I see you're all taken care of, I'll see you around."
She ended, though in a half hearted kind of way. She wasnt sure nor did she really care all that much. There were a hundred plus people in this school, and the chances taht they'll all meet up again like this were pretty slim, but it didnt really bother her.
((ooc: so sorry for the delay. I've been really busy so I'll just hand the thread over to you since my work here is done anyway <3 *dies*))

OoC: omigosh, sorry, late reply  "Yea...follow me." The dark haired-boy, Aureus, spoke first. Max was about to run after him in a hurry, until she saw the girl, Chihiro, taking asprin out of her locker. "Do conversations make her ill?" Max wondered, turning to peek at her as she kept walking forward towards Aureus, "Um...waitasec?" She asked quickly, turning back around and walking back over to Chihiro. "Sorry ... um, are you okay?" Max asked the shorter girl with a concerned voice, while her eyes beamed down on Chi's asprin bottle. OoC: You don't have to be outta the topic if you don't wanna, chi (: *gives pink teddies* |

Chi turned her head toward the new girl, blinking twice her mouth slightly agap. She had been in the process of popping the aspirin into her mouth, her one hand poised like so with the two white pills in her hand, the other reaching up to the top shelf for a bottle of water she'd kept there.
"Huh? Yeah I'm fine. I just have a headache, and keeping aspirin in my locker is a lot easier than running down to the nurse's office all the time."
She shrugged, popping the pills in her mouth and taking the water bottle, unscrewing the top and washing them down.

Before he could turn the corner, Aureus heard the taller girl ask him to wait. Turning around he saw her next to the smaller girl asking if she was alright. What's her problem? He wondered before his eyes zeroed in on a small bottle in the girl's hand. He wasn't sure what it was, but decided to keep out of it. Backing into the wall, he crossed his arms and waited for the overly kind girl to catch up.

Chi replied with a simple answer, but it made sense to Max, she made a smile. "Oh, I see," She said, nodding. "Do you have class or something or ... anything else to do? Wanna come to the office with me and Aureus?"
Max asked, feeling a bit rude for leaving Chi out. Afterall, she was the one who got rid of the four buggers in the first place, Aureus just beat them up.

The dark haired girl took another long drink from her water bottle, twisting the top and placing it back in her locker. She then closed her locker door, looking at the new girl with a shrug. She was inviting her along even though she had all the help that she needed. Was she feeling sorry for Chi? Or was she simply being nice? Chihiro decided to reserve judgement for the timebeing, she was a pretty nice girl. Aureus on the other half, well he was pretty nice as well, and had a sense of honor, but their personalities seemed to clash bit. Which, in all actuality wasn't a bad thing, just interesting to consider.
"Um..alright."
She replied, once again with a simple answer, closing the gap between herself and the other two in about two strides. She paused, looking at each of them in turn curiously, feeling more like a tagalong than a help, but whatever.

Max smiled at Chihiro, whom by the way didn't look too thrilled.
"Maybe she thinks I'm just being nice," Max guessed, balancing on the hint that Chi might've thought the green-eyed girl was just asking Chi to come along to ... to ... be polite or something, though in truth, Max just wanted to spend more time with Chi. She wanted to spend more time with Aureus, but equally with Chi so she could meet both of them a little bit better -- egh, and find the office. o_0
"Come on!" Max said cheerfully but low-pitched at Chihiro, she quickly pushed her hand around Chi's wrist and pulled her along a few feet over to where Aureus had stopped when she had asked him to wait and then let go. "See, we could all go together, ne?"

Ah just aspirin. The Freshmen thought as his right hand scratched the...whatever the walls were made of. It seemed Max didn't want Chi to go off on her own and wanted her to come with them to the office. Although he didn't really care, Levi chose that moment to speak up. The more the merrier. If you say so.
Once a few moments had past, Max came back to the point where he had stopped with Chi in tow. Seeing that the ladies were ready to go, the schizo pushed off the wall and made his way towards the end of the hall. After they reached that bench mark, he led the group around a corner to where the main office was. The name 'Main office' was kinda odd. At least in Aureus' opinion. It was kind of 'The hidden office'. "Well here we are." Said in a monotonous voice.

Chi's eyes widened in surprise as Max grabbed her wrist and towed her toward where Aureus was waiting. Wow, if anything this girl is persistant. She thought in slight shock. No one towed her around, especially not anyone new. But this girl was nice, she she allowed it for now. Chi guessed she just didn't want to be alone or something, and she didn't blame her. Just think of those thugs from earlier.
Apparently ready to go, Aureus turned and led the parade down to the main office. Turn the corner and, boom, there it was. A bit anti-climactic, but it worked. "Well, here we are." The boy offered flatly, was he just humoring her? What with the tone? But she wasn't about to ask, as the last time she did, they ended up arguing.
"Yep."
Chi added to the boy's statement, because, you know, that one syllable makes such a statement all the more valid. It was her contribution to this little escapade, so whatever.

Nice and quickly, Max smiled at Aureus and Chihiro. She was glad they weren't arguging - again, Max didn't know but she had a strange feeling that sooner then later Aureus and Chihiro would be very good friends, acquainted with each other, not rivals or anything. Max just thought that for a bit, as she then pulled a little string out of her coat pocket and did her hair up in a ponytail, she was a bit nervous about going into the office.
"Well, I'll just sneak in here for a few minutes. Thanks again, Aureus," She said, turning her head to smile at Aureus, her eyes were still glowing with excitement and happiness from earlier, she still hadn't lost that feeling from before. Turning the other way, Max gave a smile to Chihiro, "And Chihiro." Max then walked into the small room after taking a breath. Scary.

"Y'welcome...?"
The dark haired girl replied semi-hesitantly as Max bid them farewell just like that. She watched the girl with wide 'are you serious?' eyes as she disappeared beyond the door to the office. So what now? Did she expect them to wait? Or was that it? People were so confusing, hence why Chi resolved to messing with their minds than making friends. Relationships were too complicated, people were too...too...something. She couldn't think of the word, but it was negative nonetheless. Dark brown eyes glanced over at Aureus, then down at the floor, to the door, and back again, shifting her weight from one side to the other uncomfortablly.
"Um..so.."

"Any time." Aureus replied simply to Max's comment. She should feel lucky. It had taken him forever to find the damn office. But here she had been led to it in only a minute or two. Once the new girl had disappeared into the mysterious and lonely depths of the office, Aureus turned to the only remaining person near by. "So...what class do you have next?" He asked, trying to strike up a small conversation.
OOC: I plan on finishing this up soon since having 30 posts to make a day is taxing. I can only do it now 'cause I have almost no homework. w00t!

Chi blinked at Aureus. He hadn't directed a comment at her since the awkward half-apology. She frowned in a confused sort of way for the slightest of moments before blinking again in comprehension.
"Oh, I have Mathematics next. How about you?"
And how's the weather while you're at it? She didn't know why talking to him was so difficult, he seemed nice enough. It was just...a bit awkward.
