Roxy posts first, then anyone else interested may enter and join in. :P
Lunchtime.
It's a cloudy day, and Emily was still under the shade of a tree right behind the school. Why? Well, the clouds weren't thick enough.
Emily was reading a book called "the Crime of Padre Amaro". She had seen a subtitled movie about it once (it was in mexican, which she unfortunately had minimal knowledge on), and decided to read the actual book. She had just begun reading, and it was looking pretty good.
... Save for the realization that the movie was a little modernized in comparison to the book, which was centralized around the late 1800s. Oh dear.
Maybe after this she should try reading "Noli me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo." They were, after all, part of her filipino culture.
Books are such fascinating things, aren't they?

Roxy, dressed in a pencil jean skirt and a black blouse walked outside. She hated being cooped up in the classroom, specially if the teacher was as boring as the one she just ran from. Well technically not ran, rather excused herself. Walking in the grass she could feel the thick heels of her boots sink slightly in the grass was was still damp from the morning.
Looking around she spotted a girl under a tree. Her nose no doubt in a book of interest. Roxy's curiosity seemed to get the better of her and headed in that direction. Roxy of course would slide her way into the situation something she was always good at. She couldn't always plan how people would take her intrusions but meh she wasn't going to be heartbroken should they ever turn south.
Approaching the tree she appeared at the title and was unaware of what the book was. she read per say. But she stuck with mystery murders or romance novels. Things she couldn't pronounce she kinda stayed away from.
"Hey, is it a good book?"
Her voice was friendly enough as she looked down at the light haired girl. (ooc-corrected, your bio said she dyed it black)

Sorry for the lack of descriptions. No worries, I'll make up for it with this post. MUST GET MUSE BACK. O:<
The truth was, Emily wasn't really reading much after hitting the first few chapters. Her mind began to wander a lot, more or less with regards to things that were pertinent to the school, and her loss of the School Captain title to Linda. Mmm...
It was moderately windy, and Emily was glad she didn't wear her green dress today. She wore her usual clothes, a green top that exposed her waist a bit, a short pair of denim shorts, black toeshoes, her Lacrimosa Opera gloves and Amos' Vest and Scarf. Yup. She even had Hilaga and Timog strapped right on her belt too. God knows what kind of person might show up and decide to start rubbing salt on Emily's 'wounds' thinking that she was weak. Nuh-uh. Even though she lost to Linda, she wasn't a pillar for nothing.
She was perhaps, one of the strongest fighters in 259 right now. But... of course, there will always be people better than you.
The dragons fascinated Emily, and that incident with Linda made her wonder even more. Maybe it was about time she had a little talk with that woman.
Yes. Her thoughts were wandering from the book to the Dragons.
Mmm... just what are they, really?
"Hey, is it a good book?"
Her thoughts were disturbed by a feminine voice. Alas, finally some rest from her thoughts. Looking up, the white-haired female saw a student -- a student she had never seen before, even. Emily's lips feigned a smile and nodded. "It's a good book. Not for the Christian zealots though, they'd freak at the contents." She giggled. "Have a seat, that position will stress your lumbar area quite a bit."
More or less, Emily was in a good mood today.
Probably because of her thoughts?
Maybe.

She leaned against the tree instead of taking up the girls offer.
"Don't take offense if I just stand. This skirt doesn't allow me to just plop down anywhere. Sacrifices have to be made."
She said with a matter of fact tone and laughed more to herself with a slight chuckle. Crossing her arms just under her bosoms she quirked an eyebrow while making her next statement.
"Christians are close-minded individuals with nothing better to do then nick pick other religions. Frankly their religion is based off so many others. Its embarrassing."
She again smirked, those words coming out of her mouth seemed a bit perplexing since she just spent her years growing up in a Catholic School environment. Did she partake in the religion. Nah. She tended to be more flexible with her beliefs. Frankly she never liked the topic and always turned it to something else if someone was going to challenge her on it.
"But again I haven't really talked with any Christian Zealots lately."

"Don't take offense if I just stand. This skirt doesn't allow me to just plop down anywhere. Sacrifices have to be made." Emily smiled and closed her book. Meh, after all she wasn't reading it that much but ---
"Christians are close-minded individuals with nothing better to do then nick pick other religions. Frankly their religion is based off so many others. Its embarrassing."
Whoa, whoa. Aye, misinterpretation. More or less, Emily mentally booted herself for the mention of religion. It was a sensitive topic and everyone's opinion was either hostile or otherwise. Oh well -- Emily had to live with that for being a Catholic and all. "But again I haven't really talked with any Christian Zealots lately."
"Not all Christians are like that. I'm one myself, just not zealous." Emily sighed and sat up, looking at the new girl. She had never really seen this woman before, and Emily was curious.
People were leaving, and she was going in? Interesting timing.
"The talk of Religion aside, I have never seen you before in the school. Are you a new student?"
Talk about the welcoming committee.

With her body leaning against the tree and her hands still under her bust she crossed one ankle over the other she couldn't help but smirk when the girl mentioned she was Catholic. Take that for first impressions. Score zero for the blue haired beauty.
As she asked if she was new it wasn't hard not to notice Roxy since most of the people she had encountered suggested she was new. Maybe it was the hair, personality or the clothing either way they were a lot better at keeping track than she was. She would just assume anyone that knew where they were going had been here longer than she had.
"I guess you could say that. Trust transferred in From Our Lady of Loretto bout a week ago now. Still getting my bearings. Had some interesting run ins but so far from me there are no complaints."
She then extended her hand downwards a pleasant smirk on her face.
"The names Roxy."
