As it turned out, for one reason or another, Aureus' opponent for the Pillar tournament never showed up. The funny thing was, the same thing happened to some of the other fighters. It was obvious to the Freshmen that something was up, but who would want him to be a pillar? Apparently someone with lots of influence, but he doubted it was the school captain. She seemed to be a pretty upstanding person, and if she had only wanted him, Saint, and Dzan she could have just picked them from the beginning without faking the tourney. No, it had to be a higher power. Maybe the principal or superintendent. But why? What was so unique about those three that was wanted? Having met Dzan before, Aureus knew the boy was a sadist and a bit unstable. Personally he wasn't the most balanced person, being a schizo and all. And Saint, well Aureus hadn't even met him though it wouldn't surprise him if the boy had a few mental issues. So the crazy people were chosen? Quit racking your brain. You'll have time for that later. Right now you have to meet with that cute School Captain.
And with that the dark haired male continued up the stairs until he reached the fourth floor of building one. They had agreed to meet on the roof of the building to discuss his Pillarship. Seeing the entrance was already open, he figured the girl was already there. How exactly she got the door open interested him, and he'd make sure to ask her. A quick glance around the area told him no teachers were around to bust him, so Aureus swung open the door and quietly closed it. Once at the meeting spot, he saw Mitsuki right away. I wonder what she has to say...

Up on the school roof top where the breeze was nice and cool, the school captain stood still, looking over the city and watched as people, small as those colorful pebbles, and the cars, that looked like moving rocks, went from one place to another, her yellow orbs following one car in particular, then another, counting how many seconds went by for it to go to the first stop light to the other. It was boring, yea, but it kept her busy for the time being until the boy named Aureus would show up. Why was she waiting for a boy named Aureus though? Well, for the first, he was going to be one of the future pillars. She just wanted to get acquainted with him because the two, along with two others, would be working together, so might as well start getting acquainted now, right? That, and she felt the need to know who exactly the person was. The tournament didn't exactly go as planned, since half the students didn't even show up, and the other half barely did anything, thus the tournament ended in failure.
She was still searching for a third pillar though.
Hearing the door creak open, she shifted her gaze a bit to the right, and when she heard to door close by itself, she turned her body halfway, to see a boy around her age, most likely, Aureus. As soon as she saw him, a curious tint was in her eyes, as she turned around fully and gave him her full attention. Her yellow orbs sparkled a bit, from the sun, and her red hair was into a ponytail, her bangs falling gently over her face as the many layers of her hair fell loose from the band that held her hair up together. Wearing dark blue jeans that hugged her waist and a dark red button down, short sleeved shirt, with the two top buttons undone, her arms dangled at her sides as her head tilted slightly to the right. The usual mask covered her mouth and nose, and she blinked twice before parting her lips to speak, a soft voice escaping through the mask which muffled her voice.
"...Hello..."

Whoa...she's a total babe. I told you! And that mask is kinda kinky... Could you control yourself? Just this once? Please? That's no fun, but I'll try. The boy thought before replying to the School Captain's greeting. "Hey." He said cooly while walking towards her, than past her as he leaned against the railing. "So, what is it you wanna talk about?" He queried while looking out upon the landscape. It was odd how the city's concrete hassle and bustle was smashed right up against the tranquility of nature. Beaches, oceans, waves, they were all so beautiful even when filled with people. Sure, it kind of marred them, but there was nothing to be done about that. At the time there was a nice blowing which relaxed the Freshmen and prepared him for the conversation. While he waited for Mitsuki's answer his fingers ran back and forth along the metal of the railing.

So, what did she want to talk about anyway? Well, it was about the pillar position. She wondered - this boy had potential, and she noticed he was one of the few who turned up at the tournament that was being held to see who would be the three pillars. The tournament turned to be a failure, due to only half the people showing up, and the other half automatically winning if it's because their partner didn't show up, or they just gave up. Was being a pillar really not worth the tournament and such? Didn't students have the right to be protected by the others? Of course they did. She parted her lips slightly, obvious that her mouth moved slightly underneath the mask, and then closed it back, as if she forgot what she was going to say. She really didn't want to waste any more time, considering that she had other things to do, so she began to think of what would be the most blunt, straight to the point statement or question that would get him thinking.
And she found her answer, or really, her question.
"Aureus, correct? My name is Mitsuki... Do you want to be a pillar?"
Her voice? Soft, caring, yet slightly muffled. Her eyes shifted over to the boy, narrowing down on him as she let her arms dangle to the sides of her body. This question she asked him was just a question. Depending on his answer, she would see what to do with him in the future. This was her second meeting with someone who may have been a future pillar, and she was still in search for a third one. As soon as the pillars were chosen, she would literally set up rules in the school that will be enforced whether the pathetic children liked it or not. Actions speak louder then words.

There was a prolonged silence after his question, one that he didn't really notice. Most of his attention was on their surroundings instead of the girl standing behind him. Why? Because he knew exactly what this was about. So far all they had accomplished was the mandatory greeting and small talk. There wasn't anything going on here that he didn't know about already. But when she finally did pose the inevitable question, Aureus decided to cut the small talk and answer a few of her questions before she could even ask them. After all, she probably had things to do. He wouldn't hold her up.
"Yes, I do. To protect those I deem worthy. Though whether or not that conflicts with who you think should be protected is unclear." He said, letting his words sink in before continuing. "I could wait, and have you tell me. But I figure finishing my part of the conversation all at once will save time." The freshmen said, than inhaled and turned around. "A kid's walking through the halls. He gets stopped by a group of guys that want his money, don't like his face, or don't like what he's said. A pretty girl, who's doing nothing but minding her own business. Only to be groped by some pervert who has no respect for her as a person. A boy who's late to class, who's teacher thinks he deserves something more than words." Aureus finished. He than walked a few feet forward so that he was side by side with the girl. "Those are the people I'll protect."

His answer was...interesting. Her yellow orbs remained on the boy as he approached her after his answer, standing beside her as she slightly tilted her head to look straight into his eyes, searching for any hint of lies and such. Why is it that he wanted to be a pillar to help other students that attended this violent school? Did he live a horrible past? Her past school required nothing like this, only because she was home schooled for a while. All this was new to her, and the only information she recieved when she was titled "school captain" was that she was to help the students who were less skilled then she when it came to fighting and defending themselves. That, and the fact that she can have three helpers, or "pillars" by her side to lead, or whatever the school captain does. She had the choice in picking the pillars, and while her eyes still searched through his, she looked away, a relaxing look in her eyes as she closed them for a moment, soaking in what he said.
It seems as if she found her first pillar.
"By next week, please be up on the rooftop by seven p.m. There should be at least one other who would be here, and at most would be two. Once everyone is gathered, rules will start going into effect, and as your jobs as pillars, well, you should know this by now, wouldn't you?"
Finally opening her eyes, she turned and looked up at the sky, her eyes tracing the white fluffy, marshmallow looking clouds up in the air...
"So do you accept this..."job"?"

As the girl stared into his eyes all she would be able to see is confidence. He meant what he said, and planned on carrying it out. It seemed he had left a good impression on her. After she finished explaining where to meet, and asking him if he accepted to make it offical, his lips parted with the usual blunt tone oozing out. "If I didn't, I would be here. It was nice meeting you, Miss Mitsuki." The dark haired boy said before making his way towards the door, and back into the school.
