Sweet I can read and understand English!
Yeah... it's exactly how I think of PLvl in Dragon Ball
USSJ Trunks and Vegeta and huge PLvls but they didn't know how to use it yet... (plus it was slow and bulky so it wasn't really good at fighting) so they weren't efficient at it
SSJ2 'ascended saiyan' Goku and Gohan were faster, had large PLvls and was also something that Goku and Gohan got used to right away so it made that form a formidable force.
Summat like that... there was a site which listed all the PLvls and technical abilities of the characters in as many forms as they could in bar graph form.

Indeed, I constently refer back and post updated information on that site.
But thats a pretty good example. Strengths and Weaknesses will play a big part in characters, well bigger. And PL is basically the potential of a characters abilities. Applying it, thats left to the user.
We where also recently discussing a cap for PL, cause measuring certain PL's we have found oddly hugantic numbers. Or Oscilomicons as I like to call them.
We figure with a cap we could give bonus rewards to peeps like an inhanced cap for completing certain training objectives, and quests from time to time.

... so once you hit cap... realistically... you have basically achieved Demigod status?

You once told me, that I turned you into a 259 patriot back in the day. I think I know why.
Back when 259 was nothing but an idea between myself and Ark, I was looking at something about the other two Xin boards. Well a coupled of somethings.
Standards.
Both of them had such elitist standards it was difficult for NEW people to get started, or even want to try. Why should we hold high standards? I told myself something when I started making the bio template and the rules.
"I will hold NO standard. The player makes their own standard."
This isnt to say let EVERYTHING go, but more to let people who arent involved enough yet a chance to get started. I used to tell people "I dont care how much you fill out, hell you dont even have to fill every category, as long as you have a bio and work on it while your here, you are aproved."
This si so people can learn, get better and grow into the Role Player they have inside, develop as a writer. I dont care if you RP half a paragraph every post as long as your learning and getting better. This board used to be newb friendly, then we obtained standards somewhere down the road and it got, just strange. No more.
Next Subject.
Look I'm regularly a chill person, and my whole idea of transfers is because I saw myself losing my most developed character, would I start over on my own board, or stop RPing all together and just be an admin...
Know what my answer was? Honestly I said I would rather quit than give up my main character. So you work for it, you get it. You can call me elitist if you want, but thats how the cookie crumbles. Other boards may not like that, but it makes no sense for someone that ruled an entire state of insanely powerful fighters, to all of a sudden be another average joe.
Basically what I'm saying, is we are going back to round 1 my friend. EVERYONE is welcome, new, old, "Bad" at role playing or "Good" at role playing makes no difference.
Whatever happens know that it was not your pleasure to be here, it was my pleasure to have been allowed to be your admin. That goes for everyone that comes or goes to 259.
