Merric strolled steadily through the halls. His black sneakers were muffled by the floor, but each foot step continually brought with it a slight yet evident squeak! For the time, it was nothing of concern. Merric was just trying to get through the day. Through the current times, it seemed there were very few schools that hadn't earned themselves at least some reputation. It was enough to give anyone at least a bit of the jitters.
He turned quickly, looking at the metallic number. 201. Seemed he had found the right locker. Or the left locker. One had to remember that was dependant on which way a particular person was walking. For now, though, it was on the right. Actually, it was in-front, but he would call it on the right.
Quickly his nimble fingers flipped the knob through the numbers, one fairly swift to find the combination. He pulled on the metal, the device instantly releasing it's hold. Merric removed it from the small door, letting it danlge on his finger as his locker opened. He could tell as soon as it moved that it needed some greese or something. The creeking noise was already annoying.
He zipped open the pack that rested on the floor, withdrawing two binders and stuffing them into the container opened only moments ago. When that was completed, the creeking noise sounded again to symbolize the now shut metal box. The lock that once dangled on one's index finger was latched back on, with a swift thrust completing it's task once again of keeping Merric's safe-keepings safe.
He zipped up his pack once again, slinging it over his shoulder and letting it hand there loosely. Once again he started up, continuing through the not-so-busy halls. It was fairly evident why. School was not to begin for another twenty minutes. Truth be told, Merric wasn't even sure why he was there so early. Maybe he wanted to make sure he wasn't late. Maybe he just didn't want to sleep. The answer was above him. Or below him. Either way, it was somewhere he wasn't looking.
His violet orbs scanned over the corridors, himself somewhat enjoyed at this new sight. It did kinda piss him off though. He wanted someone to talk to. He wasn't lonely or anything of the sort, but one had to think that someone who had lived through school's dramas would no more than a guy with a crappy receptionist job. Even Merric could see the logic in that one.
He looked to his left, a sound catching his attention. It was low, but it was definitely there. It sounded almost like... a smack. Or a punch. Something one was quick to discover was in-fact the latter.
Merric scanned the hallway, seeing the fight going on. It seemed fairly even, but of course, un-needed. He himself wasn't too sure what to do. He though about it however. He could go over there. Try and break it up. Of course, that wouldn't be easy. He'd need to be much faster than those two to be able to fight both of them with his style of fighting. It seemed like Kohei's weaknesses bit Merric in the ass once again. But that wasn't his problem.
In all of his thought, the teen had forgot something abotu his travels. The walking bit. He had made a final step with his right foot, but did nothing after that. He just sort of... stood there. Well, he stood there for a moment. The next three seconds was teetering, and finally, a face plant.
"Ahh!"
His forehead smacked hard against the floor, himself just looking at the ground. He was a little bit dazed as to what had just happened, if truth be told. Wasn't too sure what he was supposed to do now. Ahh yes... ever dense.
