"... but you haven't told me, how you feel. I mean, I can feel it, but I do want to hear what it is you feel..."
Sara had listened patiently, knowing that this question was coming. After hearing his speech, Sara felt better. Much better. She appreciated his honesty, and seeing how concerned he was about making sure that she knew it wasn't charity made it better. Slightly. 'Cuz it was still charity... Just not as bad... And he was willing to be with her no matter how involved with Shayne she chose to be. If everything worked out, she knew she would be very involved with Matrim's child. This wouldn't be like a friendly babysitter like relationship. It would be... more then that.
She took a deep breath. The mood in the room had changed completely. The tone was all serious, no more joking in what they were saying. It made her slightly uncomfortable. She tried to think of what she wanted to say to him. She couldn't bring herself to be upfront, not yet. Not until she knew for sure how serious he was. They would take this slow. Go on a couple dates. Get to know each other on a... non-violent basis. For now, she wasn't telling him anything. And he needed to accept that.
"I feel... very tired. And full." She gave him a wink and smile, trying to lighten the mood a little, and stood up, taking her plate to the sink. Taking a breath at the sink, her back to him, she tried to calm herself. "Dinner was really good. I... think I could get used to that."
She dropped her head, closing her eyes. "I'm sorry. Just... Give me time. Be patient with me."

"I feel... very tired. And full." And that's about the time Matrim nodded his head, taking into account that he probably wasn't going to get an answer from her. She got up and took her plate to the sink. Matrim smiled back at her winking and jazz, "Dinner was really good. I... think I could get used to that."
"It took me awhile believe me," Matrim said, "But yeah, once you get used to it, it's pretty nice."
"I'm sorry. Just... Give me time. Be patient with me." She said, and he nodded.
"Guess we should get to bed then, it's been...." He thought about it, "Well, it's been a long day."
He got up, picking up his plate and taking it to the counter as opposed to the sink since there was still some left on it. He grabbed the garlic bread from his plate and wiped it against the plate to get some of the meat sauce on it before chowing it down and drinking down some of his bottled water. Afterward he dusted his hands off of bread crumbs, swallowed it down and turned to Sara.
Where... do we go from here?
"So...." He said, looking at her with a grin on his face, "Do you sleep better alone, or possibly need some space, or did you want to..." He was trying to get at if she wanted to sleep in the same bed. They each had their own room, but he wasn't sure if Sara was the type to cuddle, or if it was too much and she needed her alone time, "Because I totally understand if you need some you time. You're probably a little overwhelmed right now...."

Overwhelmed...? That was an understatement. She couldn't believe how much had happened in one day. She was so completely exhausted she didn't even think she could make it to the room without collapsing. Now she had to decide if she wanted to sleep alone, or share his bed. She didn't really care where she slept, only as long as she had a soft bed to sleep in.
And did she want to put the brain power into some smart ass comment, only to sleep alone afterward? When she could sleep in someones arms? "You win tonight. But only tonight. Let's go to bed, I'm exhausted." She gestured for him to lead the way, avoiding his gaze. Her ODD was kicking her ass for this, but she ignored it. She didn't care which room they slept in either. She would follow him no matter where he went if the destination was a bed.

"You win tonight. But only tonight. Let's go to bed, I'm exhausted." Sara said and Matrim nodded, making his way upstairs to Sara's room. He opened the door, and walked in while taking his shirt off. He walked over to the right side of the bed (when looking at the bed from the foot of it), not knowing which side she wanted, and took his pants off so that he was just in boxers.
He got under the covers and got comfortable in the bed, leaning back into the pillows. Once Sara had gotten in he would put his left arm over her, and sleep on his right side. And probably, after that....
He'd pass out. Luckily for Sara, Matrim didn't snore......
much....

Sara followed Matrim upstairs. He took to her room and for that she was thankful. He surprised her though when the first thing he did upon walking in was strip down to his boxers. She had always kind of wondered what he slept in. Small things like that about everyday life interested her. Now that she was here and actually learning these things about him, she was shy, unsure of herself.
While he climbed in bed, she went to grab her pajama's and decided against it. To tired to change, she just dropped her track pants and climbed into bed in her underwear and tank top. Pulling the covers up, his arm fell over her, and instinctively she pushed herself against. Within seconds she was asleep. It was doubtful she would even hear him snoring in her deep sleep.
