(ooc: Pm me with a reason to enter, this is after his fight www.phs259.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=long&action=display&thread=3899&page=2The repetative sound of a constant clicking and beeping played within machines, in the background of a pale tinted room and a silent bedstand. The victim's portrait was ruined his features marred beyond recognition even the once soft eyes had been melted away and replaced with faulty ones. His figure was inhuman and distraught and the ragged breathing sounded like something being inhaled with trouble. One arm missing from the figures body while the other was torn to shreads revealing only tendons and muscle. His face was just as bad forcing itself to breath and regurgitate fluids that he'd once inserted into himself. The figure seemed frail enough as the eye lids bounced looking like a post traumatic stress patient.
Outside The doctor's paced back and forth between the window to the charts calculating what should be done by him. They saw noticable brain activity, in fact those which defied reality. It scared them looking at the charts it was something similar to returningpatients who'd survived test activity within the Corectional Facility. The doctor gasped at the results, each one coming out more than the last, it would seem as though the massive increase of energy prior to his downfall shot into his subconscious triggering a certain reation. However comatose he was at the present struggling to stay bound to life. The waiting room was the only place where the doctor would be safe now, he retreated to the waiting room to answer questions of the visitors. (ooc: playing the Doctor/Gabe)

Earlier
Alexis was at home playing the piano. Again that sickening feeling in the pit of her stomach. The night she was raped and the day she was nearly hit by the car and was sent to the hospital. Her eyes felt empty as she stared at the foe ivory.
She turned as the phone vibrated and she snatched it before it would roll off the piano top. Alexis set the phone to her ear as she pressed talk and was about to greet until...
"Lexi...save me..."
The call ended and Alexis sat frozen. She played the voice over in her head and could only think of one person who would even think of phoning her in a time of need... That sickening feeling got worse.
She looked at the screen of her phone and it had a flashing dot on a map indicating the other phone's location. If it wasn't such a serious time she would probably squee on how awesome that phone was.
She got up and grabbed the keys to his expensive car on her way out. Lexie hadn't even put on her coat. Her foot was pressing hard on the accelerator she drove on ahead of other cars and swerved out trying to get in front of them. She couldn't let them slow her down. Though, luckily she had a radar detector. what would be worse than driving slow would be getting pulled over to a complete stop. Alexis would bring her car to the speed limit when she heard the beeping, then would pick it back up once everything was all clear.
The phone indicated she was at the right place... and even getting a look at it would be all too clear. The place was demolished. What the hell could have possibly gone on here?
Gabriel was not to be found and Alexis thought that maybe he had left, but a small flash caught her eye. Cautiously, Lexie approached the flashing light. It was his cell phone blinking for the GPS and it was in his hand. If it weren't for the phone, Alexis would have no clue who it was.
Alexis dropped to her knees, ignoring the little pains from shatter stone that dug into her skin. Her mouth was gaped open and her emerald hues shone bright as they began to glaze over. Her arms went out to grab him, but hesitation kicked in. If she touched him anywhere he would be hurt.
"Gabriel?" her voiced cracked unexpectedly. He had not answered. Her lip trembled as she stared down at his motionless body. Slight movements came from his chest, which was indication he was still breathing. A little whimper escaped her throat and her and came up to cover her mouth. She couldn't holding it in; she was going to be sick. She turned away from him and, in fact, got sick. Once everything was out of her system, the tears came uncontrollably. Gabriel looked after her after the death of her twin...Gabriel was the one that made Olivia feel like something... and he was laying strewn across broken cement and unrecognizable.
He hadn't woken up, so she would have to lift him up anyway... the ambulance wouldn't get here in time. She lowered her self and hooked her arms under his pits and began to drag him. The majority of the body parts that were dragging across the ground were just his legs. As Alexis got him to the car, she was murmuring her sincerest apology for any inflicted pain she may be causing... along with cursing the monster who had done this. Once at the car, she stuck him in the passenger side and she got in the drivers.
Now
She paced back and forth waiting for any word. A nurse had approached her with caution to see if she wanted water. After all, the look Alexis was giving anyone was quite bombarding... they say "if looks could kill".
"I don't want fucking water I want him!" Alexis was referring to Gabriel no doubt and the woman just left without any word, obviously not wanting to press on.
Then... she saw the doctor.
"How is he?" her voice, barely nothing.

The doctor stared at her with an eerie sigh unsure as to what to say. THe tired and desperate look in her eyes pretty much described her relation and the doctor had reason to fear for it. He stood at a slouched angle prepared for the harsh news as he uncomfortably shifted back and forth as he removed the latex gloves and set them within his trenchcoat pocket.
"I'm sorry Miss but we're not sure what to do with him." The doctor said in a defeated tone.
"He has brain function, that of which we cannot describe but his status seems to be that of a vegetable. I don't know what to say, but we'd like a relative's say whether he should be taken off of life support." The doctor brought up most grievously.
"How did this happen? Do you know?"

The answer she got from the doctor she did not like one bit. Gabriel couldn't be a vegetable. All that he was fighting for.. all that he had gone through just can't end abruptly here and definitely not now. She tensed when she heard him suggest taking him off life support and that only got her blood boiling. It looked like her eyes were staring at the floor, but really it was staring off in space, and at nothing in particular. She was too deep in thought. The lump in her throat grew once again.
"How did this happen? Do you know?"
There was a moment of pause and she realized he was talking to her and she snapped out of her grief-run thoughts.
"Some ass hole probably." people were always out for Gabriel... no way was there a freak earthquake that knocked all those pillars on him. That and he looked to have injuries caused by other means.
"His...his family are no longer here. He has a cousin.. but I don't know how to get a hold of her. I'm what he has now." she looked past the doctor towards the hallways that would lead to his room. She was what he had and she wasn't doing her job in helping protect him. He trusted her and here she was at home playing piano as some beast tore him to shreds... almost quite literally. Her eyes found the doctor's again and they looked almost pleading, until her harsh voice corrupted her soft features. "You're not taking him off life support." he will make it... He always finds a way.
She placed her hand on the doctors shoulder and shoved him aside. Now, she started running towards his run, swerving around all the nurses whom would have tried to stop her. She opened his door and closed it quickly, locking it. Yeah, she was sure they had keys, but what were they going to do about the chair that was now lodged under the nob by Alexis.
Her eyes turned to him, laying on the bed. He was vulnerable and needed someone. She sat in the other chair and moved it close to his bed. Her lips were put in between her upper and lower teeth, trying to hold in a cry.
"What the fuck did you get yourself into? Wake up." she needed to find out how to get a hold of his cousin.. or they would take him off life support. The door was getting knocked at, but Alexis didn't here it. She was too engaged in hopes he would wake.

The doctor shrugged uselessly suggesting he had no other option than to do what was necessary, the hospital had no other means of keeping him alive and it was neccessary to keep him from returning to complete his sole mission. Gabriel Seran would die here short of his goals, for the last time. Five lives he'd lived and nw he was at his end. That was what was to happen til Alexis shoved the doctor aside forcing her way into the single room closing the door behind her. THe doctor paniced as he pounded against the durable glass urging her to stop, chances of infection were too great here with all his pen wounds.
"What the fuck did you get yourself into? Wake up."
The heart rate moniter surged off the scale as the brain wave detector throbbed back and forth on the scale. Rapid eye movements behind burnt lenses flushed insanely.
THe Dr. Nicholi stopped pounding as a look of fear filled his eyes, the nrses behind him froze up and even stopped trying to get the door open. THey almost looked as if they'd seen a ghost. Clearly it was impossible for such a person to arrise from a near death experience like this. Anyone other than Gabriel would have been ended.
THe eyes fluttere and then forced themselves open to appear like a horror film murderer at the edge of death. ANd his breathing returned in short gasps from the life support machine.
"Lexi..." He gasped out short of breath raising his amputated limb up feeling the phantom limb take effect before he'd noticed it was gone. Gabriel wanted to touch her now, to stroke her face and show his appreciation of her dutiful service but could not. He was just a body now, worthless. His face cringed and let out a angered wail in the enclosed room. And son the wail was replaced by tears. He was nothing compared to what he once was. A worthless shell.

When she talked to him, almost instantly the heart rate monitor climbed and everything else went up. Alexis was getting worried and the continuous pounding at the door came to a halt. Right then Gabriel woke up. He spoke her name and he noticed the damage that he had taken, only to let out a cry. She was overwhelmed by him waking up, and on top of his depression she couldn't help but tear up and let out little gasps of small cries. Her eyes went a brighter green, they tended to do that when she started to cry.
Alexis wanted to touch him, but fear he would be hurt. His flesh was torn and exposed and she couldn't find a place where it would be safe for her to comfort.
Her lower lip trembled as she still had tears run from her eyes and little whimpers came from her mouth. She hadn't been this scared since the passing of Olivia. Too many people around her were dying. Right when she got close to them, they were ripped from her grasp. Gabriel may have been able to find his way back into her arms.
"Gabriel...I'm here... Don't go..." her voice was cracking. She didn't want to test the lump in her throat, but she had to comfort him in one way. She looked down at his marred hand and then to his palm. That seemed to be the only place that wasn't damaged as bad. There were a few gashes, but she just couldn't help it.
With her hand she reached and traced her fingers along his palm. He was probably numbed there anyway.. which would also mean he wouldn't be able to feel her touch. At least he had the thought. Alexis knew that something like this should be tended by the doctors, but she was proving to be selfish at this time and she didn't want to leave the room right this second.
"Who did this?" was all she could think of, but she didn't voice her puzzlement. It was too much of a bad time to bring up the unforgettable past. He was probably traumatized..Any one would be after taking this much damage.
Now she had to help him. She got up and pulled the chair from the door and stepped to the side, in the corner of the room.
"Do what you need to do. I'm not leaving is side."

Gabriel's now marred, Crimson eyes trekked to Alexis' face, finding that he was calmed by the show of sympathy towards him. He'd always felt so cold and nowit was far worse than could have ever been imagined. His body had become numb and lifeless without any hope of repair, at least in his mind he was dead. But it would seem as if fate could lend him a hand in the matter. He'd be broken but never again incomplete.
Dr. Nikoli strode in as Alexis set free the door. His excitable face now livid with excitement over the new study patient. He knew exactly what must be done with him. Yes there'd be a way to save the boy's life and make him about as good as before, however it'd take time. and Money which Gabriel had enough to spend.
"We can save his body with reconstructive measures, it will take a few days in surgery, a few more weeks in recovery process. I'd give him a few months to be fully repaired, but as far as the mind goes, we cannot tell how long that'll take if ever to be improved."
The doctor said as he paced along avoiding the teary eyed crimson gaze.
"all I need is consent.." He suggested notifying the limp body and his avid guardian.

New hope washed over her as the doctor explained what can be done. He was so sure of himself it doused Alexis' worry. A smile was on her face, though the tears kept rolling. Then the doctor asked for consent.
She rushed by his side and looked to Gabriel, then back to the doctor.
"He's having the surgery." her green hues looked down at the unmoving Gabriel. "I-we need you, Gabe. You have to have this surgery. If you refuse I swear I will take a scalpel to you, myself." Alexis was back to her joking self, which was always a good sign... but also bad. Now she was able to hide her feelings again. Alexis barely ever cried and she had just showed Gabriel another side of her. Alexis now had to make up for that and be the hard ass she made out to be.
"When can you get started?" she asked the doctor. "Now? Cool... Now it is then... roll him to the ER no time to waste."
Okay, she wasn't hiding it that well... but she was trying and she managed to keep her composure and no longer were the tears running down her cheek.

Gabriel attempted a grin though his injuries and the pain medication seeping into him prevented anything aside from eye muscle movements and even that was a hard job to accomplish. He sat the expectantly as the doctor's moved behind his bed stand and lifted him into a streacher the shift him to th ER which Alexis had so avidly press-ganged them into. He was grateful to have her there and with no one else in the area to keep him safe he felt so very alone.
Watching the long series of luminescent bulbs sway by him, he grew tired the massive flashes lulling him into another comma like sleep although this one would not be quite as permanant as his prior effects. He would be gone for ashort while and brought back anew on the other end. For now he'd sleep.
Doctor Nikoli stood there above the operating table looking sternly at ALexis who had surely followed them in. He didn't want to expose Gabriel's body to any infections from the outside and told her to go screb up if she wanted to stick around.
"We're gona need 20 to do skin grafts." he shouted to his assistant as he got to work himself etching the body cleverly.
(Lets time skip this cause I don't have the stomach to etch out every detail I've thought out XD)
The operation fully complete was a good sign. He'd survived the hawk like stare of Gabriel's Secretary and now wandered back to the holding room where Gabriel was projected to wake up. It had been two days since the accident and Gabriel had awoken several times only to scream in the middle of the night. Now he had fully awakened and was under surveilence.
A pair of crimson eyes looked over his new features in the mirror, a simple sigh exclaimed his lackluster showmanship. It was quite cleverly performed but he missed his old face. Gabriel shook his head examining the new limb he'd been given, a stronger alloy but he was still getting used to the movement. He just kept dreaming over the events, remembering ALexis by his side the whole time. And a smile appeared.

She watched as they transported his body onto a stretcher and rolled him down the hallway. She followed of course. The doctors didn't question her and probably didn't want her freaking out at them again. Once they hit the room they got her to scrub up and wash her hands. Alexis smiled at her victory and walked into the room.
Alexis watched as they started doing surgery. She had seen some pretty messed up shit... including some surgery done on her side. They tried inducing her with drugs, but that only made her fall into a seizure.. thanks to that stupid qi. She had to be awake for her surgery and there was a lot of bucket changes lets just say.
She touched Gabe's hand again before she had to get out of their way.
As the started on the surgery; This was different know don't and she was still worried something might happen... so her eyes were on the doctor, having a watchful gaze... making sure he doesn't fuck up.
~Time skip....and it isn't for sex and Alexis is in the thread....weird.... XD~
They were back in his room and Alexis sat at the chair holding his newly grafted arm. He had a new artificial arm where his old one used to be. Once he woke up, the doctor handed him a mirror. Yes, he looked different, but he was still the same to her. He sighed, but followed it up with a smile.
"How are you feeling?" her voice was soft, making sure not to overpower Gabriel in such a weak state.

"How are you feeling?" The recognisable voice broke through his artificial comma.
The newly reddened eyes turned to take her in, the warm feeling of her hands against his skin felt remarkably good compared to the searing heat he remembered for the longest time. Gabriel set the mirror down at the side of his bed and turned his face to her keeping his smile a thin line. It wouldn't break from it's dull routine till he was to assertain his humanity once again.
"I'm fine mon cheri..." Gabriel replied by turning his face towards her revealing an open palm to graze her tired face.
She looked as though she hadn't slept through the entire ordeal and most certainly he couldn't have anticipated the effects it'd have on her. A small sigh was let out again as his thumb caressed her open cheek admirably.
"Pleae you must rest, I'll get the doctor's report." he said with a fake smile.
At the very instant he was to say that the doctor would pourch himself against the wall watching the pair holding a chart on his current status.

He grazed her cheek with his hand and she smiled as he smiled as well. Though, his didn't seem real. Spend enough time with someone, and you can tell when something like that is fake.
"Please you must rest, I'll get the doctor's report."
Her brows perked and she had a mock expression of hurt.
"I look that bad?" she laughed, "I'm an insomniac." which meant she would have had a hard time sleeping anyway.. though all the worry she went through probably did take a toll on her.
"Alright...Gotta take orders from the boss." she stood and saluted jokingly and got to the door.
"You have to rest, yeah? You went through a lot... See yeah around, hun." well, she showed too much emotion around him. Yeah, she knew that he knew Alexis was a big soft teddy bear on the inside... but now she just revealed that much more. Damn how it made her feel vulnerable.
She went out to the waiting room. This way, she can wait for him without him knowing it.. and get rest. Her head leaned back and she closed her eyes, still not being able to sleep. Insomnia and the fear she had of losing a friend.
(End...)
