It was Kubo's first day at Public High School #259, and already he was off to a bad start. He had woke up hungover and had been rushed out of the house by his brother. Apparantly, Benn's girlfriend was coming over soon to spend the day, and he wanted th apartment all to them. Real nice of him.
So, Kubo continued walking to school, his head pounding from the night before. He never should've stayed up until three a.m. to drink and play poker. At least not on a school night. Now, he was going to have to walk the halls and put up with all the noise of the students, teachers, and bells for the rest of the day. He was not prepared for that.
Kubo entered the school and went straight to the principal's office. He was supposed to pick up his scheadule and book list. It's funny. He was going to be forced to buy books he was never going to look at again. Schools these days....
As he entered the office, a secretary told him to sit down in one of the chairs outside the office and wait for the principal. So, Kubo walked back out of the office and sat down. Head still pounding, he buried his head in his hands and tried to make the pain go away.

"Well.. Looks like someone had a rough night.."
A simple statement. Travis himself was just leaning back against a set of lockers near-by the principle's office. He would only grin slightly as he looked down at the obviously new student. He thought of giving him a warm welcome. And by warm welcome, he meant kicking the shit out of him. He wasn't too sure though. At least not yet. He would wait a bit before he started. He would wait to see how the boy reacted.
(OOC: Short, but thats because I'm lazy right now. ^^)

"Well.. Looks like someone had a rough night.."
Kubo had not expected the "welcome" from one of the school's current students. He hadn't expected anybody to say anything to him, actually. Of course, it wasn't like Kobu to stay quiet for long though, so eventually, people would know who he was. He decided to go along with it, and try to be nice at least.
"Oh, dude," he said, "You have no idea. By the way, whisky and gin don't go too well together. Especially not when you've been drinking it for three hours straight." Kubo had to chuckle at his own little remark. It hurt his head to laugh though, so he winced as if in pain. "I'm Kubo, and you are...?"
He only hoped the kid was friendly. Kubo had met some pretty mean people in the past, and he didn't want to meet any more. Now, he knew that wasn't the case. He knew that no matter where he went or who he talked to, he was always going to meet some asshole. It just made it easier to spot them out if you took the initiative to talk to them.

Travis would continue to smirk. This kid didn't seem so bad. Maybe he wouldn't attempt to get into a fight with him today. Maybe he would wait a bit. And test him later. After all, Travis was the kind of kid that believed the only way to truly know someone was to attack them. To fight them and see how they reacted to everything.
"I'm Kubo, and you are...?"
"Travis.. I guess it's nice to meet you.."
He would hold his position as he continued to lean back against the lockers. His eyes still locked upon that boy, until a rather odd kid walked up and tapped the boy on the shoulders. After he stop, Travis frowned slightly, and then spoke out. Why? Well, to Travis, Kubo hadn't been such a bad guy so far. He could actually begin to like the boy. In a totally platonic way, of course. His next set of words we're directed towards Jinn.
"Hey kid.. Don't start shit.. and if you plan to, fuck off before you get yourself hurt."

Not even here an hour and already people are touching me.
Kubo wasn't use to such a "friendly" group of people. Normally when meeting someone new, you don't tend to talk to them as much. At least, that's what Kubo thought. This guy Travis talking to him was understandable. That's one person. But now, he had some guy tapping him on the shoulder. Kubo didn't appreciate the snide comment made by this kid, and obviously Travis didn't either.
"Hey kid.. Don't start shit.. and if you plan to, fuck off before you get yourself hurt."
He didn't know what to make of this. Travis was either looking out for Kubo or especially hated this other guy. All in all, Kubo would've been happier without this other kid, criticizing him.
"Yeah, dude," Kubo said. "No offense, but would you please not touch me? And I can handle my liquor just fine thanks very much."

Ah, morning, something Chi hated. Her long dark hair was slightly disheveled as it fell down her back, but she really didn't care. She ran a hand through her raven locks as she made her way down the hall, a small yawn escaping her. Chocolate hues blinked as she passed by the office on her way to class as she recognized her gang leader, and two boys she didn't recognize. Travis and one of the new kids seemed to be distant to the third, interesting.
Curiosity getting the best of her, she approached the group, situating herself between Travis and the tired-looking new kid.
"Hey Travis...new friends?"
She inquired, a light note of humor in her voice. She adjusted the books in her arms, the cast on her right arm still being a bother, but she could deal with it for the next few weeks until it was gone.

Then gets up and stands in the middle of the floor and looks around to everyone who has joined this little chat of theirs kubo, Travis, and this striking young lady that came in between the two putting back on his shades and adjusting his shirt collar he respond.
'[glow=blue,2,300]'I don't take lightly to threats from anyone especially people looking for trouble to start...''[/glow]
But he knew someone was going to tick me off on the first day of school it was like it was meant to happen call it destiny...''now i know oh yea thats where i remember you from was up chi didn't thought i would see u so soon thanks again for your help...'' as he laughs and scratching his head keeping his eyes focused on the two in front him.

Chihiro quirked an eyebrow at the kids show, he seemed to have fluffed his feathers in a sense when she came around. Chocolate eyes flahsed cautiously as he seemed to threaten Travis and the other new boy. Due to the fact that her arm was still broken, she couldn't rightly join in a fight should one start between Travis and the kid, though she could step in if it was necessary to keep Travis from pounding him to a complete pulp.
She adjusted the books in her arms again, a hand raising to run through her long raven locks. She didn't feel like speaking up again, as she didn't quite feel like getting into a verbal arguement of the kid. But whatev.

Even more people. Normally, Kubo would've been happy to see so many people taking an interest in him, but not this morning. His head was pounding, and he just wanted silence.
The new person was a girl. Apparantly, her name was Chi. Kubo knew this because the kid who had poked him had called her by that. The weird thing was, Chi acted like she didn't even know him. That just went to show how dumb this other kid actually was. Kubo had met guy's like him before. They're blatantly made fun of, and yet they think everyone is their friend. It was as if in their ears, all insults are turned into compliments. Those kinds of people were normally pricks.
Instead of saying anything, though, Kubo just sat there holding his head. He was only saved form the madness when the secretary called him into the office. The principal was nowhere to be found, and had apparantly given Kubo's scheadule and books to the secretary. Kubo thanked her, but the stuff into his backpack and went back outside the office.
The three kids were still standing there, talking amongest each other. "Hey guys," Kubo said. "It was nice to meet you and all, but I best be getting off to class. "
