Arthur couldn't remember how he arrived at the hospitol. It was all one big blur in his head, and the pain killers his body was being pumped with probably wasn't helping him sort it out. There were a lot of bright lights and noises, as hospitol staff desperately treated his entire body for 3rd and 4th degree burns.
He should be dead.
Arthur knew it deep down, and in some ways, he was. Staring at the white ceiling, the machines next to his bed beeping softly as they monitored his vitals. A drip kept a steady mix of morphine and fluids flowing into his body to keep him in a stable condition. His eyes left the ceiling for a moment as he stared at the plastic sheeting that functioned as an isolation chamber.
Arthur could feel most of his body bound with bandages, covering up most of his exposed skin, what little was viewable was noticeably disfigured with the burns. Gritting his teeth, his eyes returned to the ceiling. The nursing staff had refused to let him see a mirror, to observe himself how bad the damage was.
And left here to stew in his own thoughts, unable to leave his bed, Arthur couldn't help but play over what happened in his mind. The bald man, the feeling of dread, the pain of being on fire, then Leon showing up out of no where. Leon, his master. Leon, the man who taught him to fight. Leon, the man who caused Arthur to be burnt to a crisp.
The machines began to beep more intensely as Arthurs anger began to rise at the thought of the man who caused this to him. His hands clenching into fists as he stared at the ceiling. The heart rate monitor kept registering his heart rate rising, and caused a doctor to enter, and increase his painkillers slightly for the moment to force Arthur to relax.
And so it was, Arthur was stuck in isolation, horribly disfigured, and with nothing but his thoughts to keep him company.

It had been a good week or so since the attack on Public Highschool #259 by an unknown raid of supposed superpowers. Supossedly they were there for revenge but over and over in Gabriel's mind he couldn't quite scratch the feeling they were out for more. The words of that one calling him the 'Holder' struck something within his mind. He felt as though he was a neccesity in the up coming troubles.
Gabriel Seran had been there a few days resting primarily, the orderlies had told him that his white blood cell count was abnormal in the sense that it kept bouncing out of control. If they'd only known. A charished smile faded as he found himself looming over a bandaged boy's bed. He'd seen the man the day of the invasion. Not exactly a strong fighter but a brave fighter. Definatly material for what Gabriel had been looking for.
"So you're awake..." Gabriel said slowly in a calm voice.
"A shame I'm the only one here...Would think that someone like you would have someone here to keep an eye on you..." Gabriel sat there with his hand on his chin sitting uncomfortable still.

Arthurs eyes fell from the ceiling to stare at his guest. His mouth moving wordlessly, though it wasn't like Arthur had anything to say yet anyway. Still, staring at the person before him, Arthur felt a bit of contempt. This person was fine and walking. He wasn't permitted to leave his bed and had no visiters yet. Not even his family had shown their faces. And since Arthur could not do much else, he just laid there, staring at the visitor, waiting for the next words to come from this person before him.

Gabriel didn't show any signs of his emotions, nothing but a cool, fine line that displayed his features. He wasn't acute for making small talk nor jesting about the little things not if you were subjugate to his little game he had in store and if indeed this player had entered the game then he had in fact a good reson to keep a very serious tone. Very content with his current situation.
"So I didn't get your name when we were fighting those shock troopers out there." Gabriel said making a short nod of his head in the direction of the school.
"i'm Gabriel, Gabriel Seran" He tried for an amiable smile not illuding to any particular facts that might be in store. It was in fact a game of deception, where the truths could only be revealed in time.
Gabriel shifted his position to retain a straight back his hands fitting neatly at his kneecaps whilest an observant face watched for signs of life. Hell even some brain activity would be nice after such a beating.

Arthur watched his visitor, listening to what he said through a drug haze. His mouth still moving wordlessly, at this point little more then opening and closing. Arthur began to move his arm, pointing to the drip that held his morphine. Holding his arm there with his index finger pointing at a switch which would reduce the amount of morphine that would flow into Arthur. Here he waited, for a few more moments before dropping his arm back down to side, hoping that Gabriel got the message.

Gabriel nodded with a slight sense of acknowldgement certainly understanding the boy's notion. With a bit of curiosity however he could have taken advantage of the boy's morphine ridden state. Then again he recalled the vice of his old experiences. Trust, or at least the appearence of such would be more contributing to the situation.
Comign to a stand Gabriel crossed the room and flipped the switch with ease comming now to loom over the boy blotting out what little light the luminescent hospital bills could afford.
"It seems as though I could use you to an extent..." Gabriel let the wry grin carry him back to the seat he was originally in. Seated as he watched with a curious momentum wondering what whould a reply to such be.

Arthur laid, unmoving for a few minutes as he let his body process the morphine in his system already. Letting time tick by. He wasn't in any hurry. Time was something he had plenty of. But, in time, the drug haze began to lift. Helped along by the manipulation of his own metabolism.
"... only... if... you... will... be... used... in... exchange...." Arthur rasped back, slowly, and in increasing pain as the morphine kept lessening. Still, pain helps sometimes. And Arthur was willing to bear it right now for these discussions. It helps to have a sharp mind in discussion then let the opponent obfuscate the truth before you.

Gabriel didn't miss a beat nor did he flinch at the response in fact it was the most resonable response he'd gotten in all his time drafting for the Black Knights. A fair trade.
"Well it seems we're speaking on the same level, in fact I'm quite surprised." Gabriel nodded
His body leaned back placing his hands hin his lap as he crossed his legs in an elegant fashion.
"I have a proposition for you because not only do I need those who have no problem's with being used but in turn I offer my services to be used as well..." Gabriel grinned with cunning malice.

"... speak... it..." Arthur responded, his eyes still staring at his visitor, whilst the rest of his body lay limp. Arthur waited to hear the deal that it seemed he would be offered. Unsure whether to trust this person to any point.

(OOC: knock knock :})
Alexis got out of Blockbuster with a a DVD in hand. She even had a bag of chips. It was Visiting day....just like any other day Gabriel had spent in that hell hole. She got in her car and drove the familiar route to the hospital. When entering the lobby, the woman at the front desk waved a greeting towards her. She knew Alexis, because she was clearly a regular.
Knowing the halls like the back of her hand she found Gabriel's door and entered with a big smile.
"I got--" there was a nooby!
Her emerald hues looked over to Gabriel.
"Got yourself a pal....and I got some chips.... did I come in at a bad time? Whether I did or not...I'm still going to be here by the way." she walked over to the seat that seemed to form her small figure and she subconsciously held onto Gabriel's hand. It was like they were a married couple without the relationship and sex.
"Hi there, toaster strudel... My name is Tara." her words were not meant to be rude, that was just how the Aussie girl was.

"What I want from you is your strength, to combine with mine..." Gabriel said bluntly not leaving any additional facts to be revealed for the moment.
He didn't understand much about Arthur to tell the truth but when had he done his homework on anyone other than his enemies. As Sun Tsu said "Know your enemies and in one-hndred battles you may never lose" Gabriel smiled having been adequatly read up on current strategies to warfare and philosophy.
"I..."
"Got yourself a pal"
Gabriel's attention didn't shift that was until she'd grasped his hand. Flinching slightly at the contact he disregarded it trying not to draw attention.
"I would like for you to join my gang, I see that you have your set of skills, and I'd like to put them to use, refine them to their most pure form."

"... refine..." Arthur rasped out, before letting out a wheezing laugh that quickly devolved into a fit of coughing. He didn't settle down for a few moments, and when he did, he remained silent for just a little bit longer.
"... a... metal... smith... would... refine... I... need... strength... strength... enough... to... kill... the... one... who... sought... to... refine... me... as... one... would... an... alloy..." Arthur commented. All this time ignoring the girl, though he did acknowledge her arrival by taking a moment to look at her, before his gaze would shift back to Gabriel.

She felt awfully ignored. Gabriel didn't even say hello. Ouch. Then he went on and asked toaster strudel to join their gang.... Okay, so one would think she would at least be involved with this due to the have she is 0.5 of second in command.
"Pickin' up randoms, yeah? Soon you will see someone walk by and ask 'em to be in our gang." she smiled a bit, "'Eh, you! Nice hat, want to be in our organization?' c'mon now." it was a poor impersonation of Gabriel, but she sucked at French accents. Though one time she managed to make someone believe she was french... She had a good time with him in that student lounge.... and in the boys locker room shower...
Lexie then, would pop open the bag of chips and have one, then hold the bag towards Gabriel to see if he wanted any. She would then look at the guy next to them and smile. "I would offer you one...but they are salty... Salty plus burns equals no nos."
And she would only get more mean if they kept on ignoring her...

Gabriel gave a low bow to the singed man. Vengence was a powerful thing when a man had suffered it unjustly. Gabriel didn't need to know who this person was but undoubtably he would bring vengence upon him for no other reason than to show his loyalty. Funny thing about morals was that they only slowed someone down.
"Vengence is a powerful motive, and I'll see fit that yours will be fullfilled.."
Then Alexis started off on her childish ways. Something that had once amused Gabriel found itself with an unhappy reaction under the circumstances.
Gabriel's hand would clench down hard on her hand as he'd turn sending her a short scowl, a warning in a sense to her. Gabriel didn't know what he had to offer but if she didn't behave he'd have to implement something he didn't necessarily want to go through with. (kinky?)
"Within the gang you will gain power faster than you can imagine and soon you'll have your vengence, this I can promise you."

Arthur stared at Gabriel. Weighing up the words in his head about the bargain that was almost forged. His breathing coming steadily thanks to the assistance of the surrounding machines. Ignoring the petulant female. Arthur entered another coughing fit.
"... deals... are... signed... with... names... what... of... yours...?" Arthur questioned, after the coughing fit passed. His breathing slowly returning to the steady rythmic pace it usually was.
