It had been a week since the Evaluations and things were starting to get back to normal. Aureus was feeling alot better, albeit tired because of all his training. He had resolved that to keep the school in line he would have to be the best. Showing them mercy would only weaken his position. Though that didn't mean he was going to be a total asshole, just that he would maim first and ask questions later. Other than that he would still help those who needed it. Specifically transfers who needed to know where their classes were, kids getting picked on by teachers for no good reason, etc, etc.
Unfortunately, 259 was back to normal as well. The lessons of the previous week although still fresh in the minds of some, wasn't enough to totally deter unnecessary violence. The usual idiots who thought they ran the school could still be found in every three or four hallways. Luckily Aureus had yet to see this first hand, as he had just arrived at school and was making his way to his locker.
Thank the non existent god I didn't wake up sore today. You got lucky. All that training isn't gonna be easy as chewing gum. Yea, yea. Well hopefully there won't be any problems this morning. I don't feel like putting up with anyone's shit. The schizo thought while he twirled the red combo lock. With a familiar clink the security device popped open allowing the Freshmen to pull out his books for that half of the day.
Geometry...History...English... Aureus thought as he went along. Once he had finished he zipped his backpack up and was about to shut his locker...when someone closed it for him. Turning around he was being stared down by a group of six students, none of which looked too happy. "Hey Pillar boy, I think it's time for your daily beating." One of the larger boys said. All the Freshmen could do was smirk. Sure, he was a Pillar. But specifically he was the Varsity Captain. He had gained that position by becoming the head of the kickboxing team, winning the fluke of a tournament, and by impressing the School Captain. So, needless to say he wasn't in bad shape.
Deciding he was waiting too long, Aureus ignited the spiked, fire gloves with a snap and threw two fast punches to the chests of the students directly in front of him. It was strange, but nice feeling the steel pierce their flesh while the fires burnt it. The two crashed into lockers on the opposite side of the hall. Two down... The Pillar thought as he spun around and headed for his remaining 'attackers'.

((If this does not apply to me i'll delete the post.))
"Hey Pillar boy, I think it's time for your daily beating."
The voice of the student who openly challenged the pillar was loud enough for students all around to hear. Vincent was just one of them. And he was interested, somewhat. So far Vincent didn't know of any pillars at this school. The price of not being social has taken it's toll on Vincent. Already he is being left behind in information. Not that such things are vital to Vincents life, it's just good to know things sometimes.
Back to the task at hand now. A moment had passed and already two students were taken care of. Something on the pillars hand caught Vincents attention though. Looked like fire. But Vincent couldn't be sure at this point in time, he was too far away to tell for sure. Slowly Vincent walked closer to the 'fight' if it could be called that yet. From the very little Vincent has heard about the pillars, he knew that they don't exactly screw around. So far the little bit of information is proving correct.
Lets see how the rest of this turns out. It seems pretty interesting.

Just another day for Saint… luckily he had avoided to usual challengers but it was mostly because he was carrying bodies to the nurse’s office. Students who had gotten in fights and been beaten, sometimes quite brutally. Sure, as student body president, he should do something about all the violence beside the usual tactics most pillars used. Beating up the students who broke the rules didn’t solve anything, most of them just healed up and just kept doing whatever they pleased. It was just another cycle that seemed to have no end the way the system was set up and with the stubbornness of everyone involved. The freshman couldn’t fathom why the students who wanted change didn’t protest, sit in, or use another peaceful means of demonstration. Oh well…
“What’s this?”
Coming around the corner of a hallway, Saint happened upon the fight taking place between a few students. At first Saint could not tell who was fighting who or who had dealt with the two that were laying on the ground, but that would change soon. Though the student body president couldn’t hear them, students at the far end of the hall had noticed him and were whispering about what it meant. Two pillars were going to be fighting now. One member of the attacking group turned with a smile before speeding toward Saint with his hand drawn back for a punch. Though Saint couldn’t tell it seemed like he said… You guys dealt with the Varsity Captain… I’ll get the geek.
There was no movement from Saint as the boy approached, no need really. As the punch came, he simply placed his forearm in the way and smiled as the boy’s fist connected with the metal arm guards of Apollo. The boy’s face contorted slightly causing Saint to raise his eyebrow in curiosity. Apparently, from the boy pulling back and grabbing his hand in obvious pain, it seemed he had broken his hand on the arm guard. Unfortunately this didn’t stop his attack as the boy threw another punch at Saint, this time the pillar spun away bringing a leg around to the back of the boy’s neck. From there the boy went down as Saint pushed down with his leg causing the boy to face plant into the school floor. Saint removed his foot from the unconscious boy while turning toward the rest of the group, this was going to be a hassle.

Interesting. Travis' vivid blue orbs gazed down he hall toward the boy known as Aureus. It seemed like he had gained some strength, and it didn't hurt that he had those fancy gloves. And word was that he was now a Pillar of this school. The Varsity Captain, was it? Interesting indeed. Travis' eyes narrowed slightly as his lips curled up slightly as he began his slightly slow walk down the hall, straight toward the fighting pillar. His eyes fixated upon Aureus as he walked with his hands inside the pockets of his jeans.
Once he neared him, about eight feet or so, Travis' would stop. His hands removing themselves from his pockets as his left one shot up to adjust the goggled on his head, then dropped down to a loop on the side of his jeans. He would watch as he dispatched a few of the students relatively quick. So, here he was. Spectating someone that he would soon be fighting. He had received help from his boy before, when they had defeated Apollo. That situation had called for them to be allies.
But now, Travis was bored. And he wanted a fight. And who better then this pillar? He could finally prove he was worthy of defending this school. Word was that if a pillar lost a fight, he lost his pillar title to the winner. Travis smirked at that thought once again. If he won, he wouldn't take the title. He would only laugh at the boy for being such a pitiful defender. Don't you think the pillar ship would lose face then? Would the students see how weak it was and revolt? who knew. Only time would tell.
"Aureus.. deal with those weaklings later.. I want to fight you.."
A challenge. And Travis didn't plan on being declined. He would soon take a stance and lock his eyes upon the pillar. He wasn't dumb though. He would keep his mind clear, keep his ears sharp so that he could pick up any type of attack from behind. Who knew what would happen. This hallway could very well turn into a war zone in a few. But Travis would be ready. He was always ready.

Great...a crowd. Don't complain. This'll send a message to them all at once. You better prove yourself. It's my only option... The Pillar thought after seeing a small group of people begin to gather around the area. The most curious thing was the whispers his keen hearing picked up, something about another Pillar. He wasn't sure which they meant, but it did level the playing field.
By the time he had processed all that information, Aureus was almost caught off guard by a side kick thrown out by one of the Sophomores. Sliding to his right, the leg swished past him; only to be grabbed a second later by the schizo who pushed it upwards, sending it's owner to the floor. There wasn't much time to focus on just one person before another was interrupting. With that in mind, Aureus dropped to his right knee. Coincidentally that knee was right above his latest opponent's chest. In addition his new position saved him from being hit with an elbow to the side. The Pillar decided to go with the flow, and grabbed the arm before it could be pulled back. His hands were on the boy's forearm, specifically. Aureus rose from his kneeling position, straightened the arm out, and snapped it against his knee in less than two seconds. Four. Levi added, sing-songily.
It was around that time that a voice call out to the schizo. Ignoring it for the moment, he stared down the final two students while their friend screamed in pain. The others might have...if they were still conscious. Thankfully the last two had some semblence of a survival instinct and ran off as fast as their legs could carry them. Now that there were no further distractions, The Varsity Captain turned his attention to his latest challenger.
Travis... Aureus recollected from the fight with the god wannabes. He had helped Levi, a little bit, before getting his leg shattered. Though it was more of the redhead's fault that had happened. He had used the male as a distraction. Sure, it cost him, but in the end it was for the good of the school, right? Aureus felt that he owed Travis a favor, and if he wanted a fight, that's what he would get. He couldn't really deny the challenge either. There were many students watching, students that would only be dissuaded from doing stupid things by fearing him. You have to stay on top.[/color] His alternate personality said, bolstering his will.
"Alright, I'll give you a shot. But don't blame me when you have to be carried off to the nurse again." The Pillar teased, drawing Travis in. As he did, Aureus adorned his typical fighting stance: Left shoulder facing the other fighter, feet shoulder's length apart, knee's slightly bent, left arm bent at the elbow in front of his body, and the right parallel to his leg. It allowed him to counter and move quickly, his strong points.

"Alright, I'll give you a shot. But don't blame me when you have to be carried off to the nurse again."
"Heh.. Funny."
Travis smirked himself. He didn't hate the kid. Boredom just caused him to do some rather 'assholish' things. If anything, he actually liked him. He had helped defeat Apollo didn't he? He was nice enough to try and help the school out. Something Travis himself did every once in awhile. Though that was rare, when he was in an oddly good mood. He would watch Aureus as he prepared himself. Travis watched him closely, and assumed that he was taking a rather defensive position. Whatever. If he wanted Travis to attack first, he would.
And without another word spoken, Travis would throw his body foreword in a rather quick dash toward his opponent. His feet would slam against the tiled floor when he neared the boy, his steel-toed boots clicking loudly as he began to slide a few feet or so from the boy, his left hand lifting up, throwing a rather quick straight snap punch. His right bent at the elbow, ready to be thrown foreword his his left connected with the boy's chin. A simple opener, not really thrown to connect, but to cause the boy to react, so that Travis' could one again react as needed.

Already the schizo's analysis of his opponent was beginning. His speed, if he wasn't holding back alot, was around the same as Aureus'. That was good, as speed was one of the keys to fighting; In the mind of the Pillar anyway. Strength could be worked around if the attacks were slow and easily readable. But dexterity was a bit harder to counter. If one knew when and where to hit and could do it quickly, only a few strikes would be needed; not at full strength either. So that was one trait checked off the list.
Word around school traveled fast, especially when it concerned who the best fighters were. From said word, Levi was able to find out at least how skilled a few individuals were. And it was said that Travis wasn't a joke. From that the Pillar could guess a bit of his knowledge of fighting. Now, any fighter worth their snuff knows that if your opponent expects you to attack them and you have distance to cover, you're at a disadvantage. In that case the best you can hope for is a way to force them to open themselves up with your initial attack. This was what Aureus assumed Travis knew. That being said, he would think along those lines when reacting.
There was the tell tale sign of the arm moving that could either be a bait or a feint, definitely not a decisive strike, no they were too evenly matched for that. Regardless, the dark haired boy needed to act. And that he did when he pivoted on his left leg, bringing the right next to it so that his chest was facing Travis. His right, low lying hand shot directly upwards and deflected the punch. At this point in time his left leg was still bearing most of his weight. Directly afterwards Aureus threw a left, palm strike to the boy's face. He would most likely have trouble deflecting this because his last attack was shoved upwards, throwing him off balance. This gave the schizo that one second edge. However, the palm strike was meant as more of a distraction, just like Travis' first punch. It did it's role as such because humans naturally have knee jerk reactions to anything flying at their faces.
So if it hit, no big deal. It would smash into the bridge of the redhead's nose, putting him in a decent amount of pain and allowing the Varsity Captain to continue with another attack. But, if it was blocked, Aureus would move on to his real goal: his opponent's left leg. So, if the palm was blocked, grabbed, or whatever, he would focus all his attention on throwing his right leg behind Travis' left and using his knee to bend the boy's, putting him on the ground or even more off balance. A fall would result in him stomping the boy's sternum, and a trip up would result in bringing his right arm down towards the redhead's neck.

Travis watched as he neared his opponent. Someone he knew barely anything about. A fighter that had to have potential obviously, as he was a school protector. A pillar. And the school wouldn't do something so dumb as to put someone who couldn't handle themselves in such a position. So he knew that he would be in for a good fight. A fight that would cause him to think, cause him to react faster. He would have to put so much more effort into this, then any other fight he had been in. Whatever. That would just make him want to win even more.
And as the boy's arm lifted to deflect Travis' attack, he would have seen this and reacted. As the boy's hand connected against his, and began to end it away, Travis would attempt to tense that arm, and then roll against the blow, so that he would be able to grab the boy's wrist before he could pull it away. And as the boy sent in another attack, Travis would prepare himself, and then throw his attack against Aureus'. Travis' right hand would fold and harden as he send it straight toward Aureus' attack. His aim was to slam his fist into the boy's wrist, and deflect his palm strike, and maybe even disable the boy's hand for a short time.
If everything went well, Travis would have deflected that boy's palm strike, and his left hand would have gripped his other boy's wrist. There wouldn't be much of a wait between moves here as Travis would hope to catch the boy off-guard here with his next little 'attack' With his grip upon the boy's wrist, he would give a sudden tug off to the side and downward slightly. This was to get the boy to loose balance from the rough tug. With the tug, Aureus' side would be wide open and Travis would find his next target. Travis' right arm would be held slightly in front of his upper torso as his right knee would shoot foreword and upward slightly, aimed to slam into lift side of his opponent's lower abdomen, just above the boy's left leg, around the joint.
He wasn't trying to hurt the boy too bad just yet. Only hoping that his knee would put a little limp in his movements, so that it would be easier to deal with him. That is of course if everything went as planned, and everything landed. Who knew what his opponent had in store.

It was funny how fast things could happen in just a split second. Luckily Aureus was good at following these type of things with his eyes otherwise he might have been completely floored. But that wasn't the case and he was pretty damn aware of how and what Travis had moved. The sensation of a hand gripping his wrist was there, and his palm strike had been deflected by a punch to the wrist. It was pretty damn hard, and hurt like a bitch. There was just no way he could have avoided it. His hand was in motion and it would have been impossible to change the direction of it's force in an instant. In addition the blow caused the left side of his body to be pushed back slightly.
Taking a gamble, Aureus leaned his weight in the same direction and planted the injured hand into the cold linoleum of the hallway. He was able to do this for a short period of time because of the gang leader's grip on his other wrist. Also, the schizo would pull that captured right arm in the same direction he was moving (backwards) so that he would be able to pull off the plant, and could pull the boy into his counter attack. This would come in the form of Aureus pulling his right knee up so that it would collide with Travis' ribs. It would be difficult to avoid for two reasons. One, his punch was still traveling, throwing him off balance. And two, his other hand was busy holding onto the schizo. So if things went right, Travis would have his ribs bruised or cracked, he would let go of Aureus' wrist, and the schizo would be able to roll to his right side to take the pressure of his injured wrist.

So much was happening so quick. But that did not scare Travis. He wasn't totally surprised when everything had not gone his way. After all, he was fighting a pillar right? This was suppose to be one of the school's top fighters. It was suppose to be a tough battle. A battle that would not be finished quickly. A fight that would last a good while, cause them both to break a sweat, and both of them to bleed. This would be fun. This would be exciting. Travis' blood was boiling already. He was ready for this. And this was really what he had wanted. A good fight. So far it was already heating up. It was already getting fun.
A smile would spread onto his face as he felt the impact of Aureus' knee. His lungs would hold, his breath fly from them as he held his position against the knee for a split second. The pain he felt was moderate, but not overly powerful. The kid had some strength, yes. But he wasn't incredibly powerful. It was safe to say that Travis probably over powered him. This new-found knowledge would only propel Travis foreword. Push him harder to make sure that he was stronger. That he came out on top. Would this be true? Who knew. Would they even get to finish this fight before it was broken up? Who knew. All he cared about was one attack at a time. Making sure that it counted.
Travis thought about releasing the boy's wrist. The possible outcomes and misfortunes. And then he thought about continuing to tighten his grip and hold on. either way there were possible counters the boy could do. More attacks that could cause damage to Travis. More then he would like. So, it was time to find a way to attack and land it. He would release the boy's wrist, but only after giving another hard squeeze. And as the boy went to roll onto his right side, Travis would attack. He would use that little opportunity to attempt to land a hard heel stomp against the boy's back as he rolled.

Walking down the corridors and going off to his class, Karel was still trying to figure out which was where. Yay - he was a n00b. But with things as they were, it seemed that a fight had broken out. Perfect. He left 552, which he thought to be the worst example of school around only to find that this one was just as bad as the others. And, like in 552, he wasn't exactly content with the amount of violence that continued to hound his day. Sometimes... it was unadvoidable. But right now he didn't want to bother quelling this little "arguement". And so he walked, past the two with his bag slung over his right shoulder.
...hmm?

He was vulnerable, and Travis had taken advantage of it. So it came as no surprise when the schizo felt a hard, blunt kick slam into his back. Luckily it had landed on the lower right side, right beneath his ribs, so there wasn't too much damage.
After hitting the ground the Pillar let out a muffled groan. Now, he was still in an awkward position, meaning his options were limited. For once he decided to go with his gut and preformed the quickest attack he could think of. Igniting the gloves on his hands, Aureus reached back as fast as he could and attempted to grab a hold of his opponent's leg. If he was successful, Travis would be in a good amount of pain from the burning sensation running through his extremity and would be distracted just long enough for the schizo to get to his feet. If it didn't work, well he'd have to wait and see.

The boy rolled and Travis stomped. He probably should have aimed a bit better, so that the attack had been more effective, but it was too late now. He heard the groan release from the pillar's throat, and a small slightly satisfied smile would form upon his lips. But that smile wouldn't last long as his eyes caught sight of the boy's gloves ignite, and his quick movements toward Travis. The heat would rise near his leg as he determined which direction he would hop.
Travis' jeans would be singed slightly as he hopped to the side, landing out of the boy's reach,. hopefully, and somewhere near the boy's head. Now he had a clear shot at the boy's skull, and he wouldn't hesitate to attack in some way. Now, if the boy stayed upon the ground, his head wouldn't be out of range for a kick. Travis would take a quick step foreward and attempt to soccer kick the shit out of the back of Aureus' head with his steel-toed boots.
If the boy decided to attempt to get to his feet, Travis would attempt to stop him. He would quickly step in and send a simple straight kick aimed to slam against the boy's side as he made his way to his feet. The collision would most-likely knock the boy back down to the ground, if it was completely unexpected. There was a possibility of him maintaining balance. But one thing was for sure, it would hurt.

The redhead had been able to avoid the grab, not surprising. But because Aureus' head was turned the way it was, he had no problem seeing which way Travis had moved. That being the case, he used the short amount of time to roll onto his back. He had to make sure to tuck in his left arm so it wouldn't be crushed. By this time he saw the gang leader pull back his leg. That meant only one thing, a kick. If it connected, the Pillar was done for. Acting mainly on instinct, he raised his left arm higher than he estimated the kick would go, and brought the right under it. This would allow him to snap the foot between his arms. If he got that far he would attempt to twist the boy's ankle hard.

As Travis moved in and aimed his kick, it would seem that Aureus' would attempt to grab it. Travis' kick would be stopped, but seeing as he would moving with the kick a bit, his kick would be stopped as his body stilled moved. His eyes would widen only slightly as he threw his upper body back wards slightly, his leg that had been caught bending at the knee. The best part about this? As he bent it at the knee and fell, his knee fell directly toward his opponent's forehead. He was sure that it was going to be hard to dodge or block now that Aureus' hands were currently locked with the bottom of Travis' foot. And as he fell foreword, he would shoot his free leg foreword a bit, off to the side of Aureus, right against his body so that he could keep himself in the awkward kneeling position that he would soon be in after his knee planted against Aureus' face.
His kick hadn't worked out, but as he fell, he had a feeling that he would end up kneeing the kid right in the forehead, and then balancing it upon it, adding pressure. It may not have hurt as much as the soccer kick with steel-toed boots, but it would surely not feel good having a hard knee of a 136 pound kid slamming against your head.
