Mitsukai is a quiet, anti-social person by nature. Due to a rough childhood, losing her parents and then living with her abusive aunt and uncle, and bullying from her peers she is untrustworthy of others by instinct. She normally reacts to bullying now with aggression. Constantly getting into fights, and being suspended from school. Though known to most for her aggressive streak she does have a soft side. She loves animals, especially cats. Mitsukai unfortunately is not allowed to have pets at home, but has been known to feed stray cats around her area. On very rare occasions Mitsukai might help others if she is in the mood or if it'll benefit her in some way. She never stay with those people for very long, she'd rather not get too attached to someone who might betray her in the end.
Mitsukai is the type of person who will go with the flow, doing as she pleases and let whatever might happen happen. Normally she just stands by and observes whats going on around her, preferring to stay neutral unless she has to or is simply bored. If someone does anything to harm her or something she cares about she will stop at nothing to get revenge.
Mitsukai's alter ego, also referred to as her "Dark Half". This persona is chaotic and destructive. Nami's one goal in life is to kill everyone that comes in contact with her, including those that Mitsukai is close to. She was born from her other half's anger and distrust for humans. Nami's belief is that humans are nothing more than useless trash that would not even think twice about turning on each other under the right conditions, that belief is what drives her to kill her light's friends. In her eyes they just hold her and her light back and cause unnecessary trouble and if Mitsukai is to blind to realize that then she will do it herself.
Though well known by those aware of her existence to be insane Mitsukai's dark half is actually quite practical. Except for the few occasions she has attempted to kill one of Mitsukai's friends Kevala Nami will not try to kill someone she could not beat. If she has no other choice Nami will make an effort to kill her enemies when things are in her favor. Whenever Nami finds herself in danger with little way out she will use whatever means to escape. Sometimes those methods involve forcing her light back in control of their body if she knows her opponent will not attack her other half. This alter ego comes out only when she is in the mood to destroy or if Mitsukai is in danger. Nami is surprisingly very protective of her light, though mainly because whatever effects the other will also effect herself.
Their is only one way to tell when Nami has awoken. Only Mitsukai's right eye will change from gold to red, her voice going slightly deeper and almost seductive. In Mitsukai's mind's eye she is taller in comparison, a red streak of hair almost covering her red eye and usually dressed in all leather. Other then those details they look identical, almost like sisters.

Build: Mitsukai is fairly short for a girl her age which is why at first glance most mistake her for being younger then she actually is, which is one of her many pet peeves. She is slender and delicate looking, making her seem like a weak and fragile looking creature despite her aggressive nature.
Head: Mitsukai has surprisingly cute face despite her cold nature. With long straight black hair flowing all the way down to the small of her back, shading lovely golden feline eyes.
Torso: Mitsukai is quite well developed despite her small stature, giving her a nicely curved body. Well proportioned with her small frame.
Arms: Her arms are skinny and don't look like they have much power to them but when she strikes someone she hits them hard.

Description of style: Because of Mitsukai's small stature, she can't defeat most of her opponents with pure strength alone so she learned how to counter-strike. She can read her opponents moves and then use their own strength against them. Mitsukai's greatest strength is her speed. She is easily capable of dodging most attacks and striking quickly. She is the kind of person that likes to finish her battles quickly as to avoid damage to herself.

Mitsukai was born and raised in Japan by her mother and father who moved there for business reasons. She was always a quiet individual who preferred to play with animals and read books rather then be around people. She was bullied a lot in school during elementary so she became even more isolated. Her parents did the best they could to make sure their daughter wouldn't become depressed. Even taking her to the Arano school to learn sword combat.
At the age of thirteen her parents died in a car accident and Mitsukai was forced to live with her aunt and uncle in America. They were a dysfunctional couple, constantly fighting with each other and emotionally abusing her at home. She would get in trouble everyday in school for getting into fights with other teens because someone was always trying to aggravate her. This was around the time she began learn how to fight in hand to hand combat, adapting her fighting style for a world where one couldn't use weapons.
A lot of things have happened to Mitsukai since attending 259. From her first few weeks in her new school it became blatantly obvious violence was the law of the land. Fighting seemed to be the only way to settle confrontations. As a result many of the older students have become incredibly strong in comparison to her. The gap in power became apparent when Mitsukai met Katsuri. It was that man pointed her own weakness, and offered her the training that could make her strong enough to protect herself. It was thanks to him that she could leave her relatives house and even learn how to fight.
Mitsukai lived with Katsuri and Kevala. quickly making friends with the other girl and one of his other 'toys' Drea. It took sometime to get used to the craziness of life living with Katsuri and Kevala, especially when the other woman was pregnant but life had seemed to take a turn for the better. Until one day Katsuri vanished......leaving behind a distraught Kevala, his two newborn twins, and of course his pupil.
Since Katsuri's disappearance Mitsukai had no one to train her. For a time she did what she could with daily exercises and the occasional sparring match with Drea. But it was not enough, her little battle with Gabriel Seran had rubbed her weakness in her face. She desperately needed a teacher but with Katsuri gone there had been no one else to fill his place.
As both Kevala and Mitsukai tried to cope with the new life that they had to bare with the loss of Katsuri Mitsukai began to have increasingly violent nightmares. These dreams were just the beginning of the awakening of her split persona Nami. A woman whose one goal in life was to destroy everything around her. Including those that Mitsukai cared for the most. Kevala realizing the birth of this new personality but unaware of it's violent nature enlisted the help of Sky Dalten to force the darker half to appear. Only to have to force the darker half back out of fear of the damage it would cause.
After the birth of Nami for a period of time Mitsukai trained under Sky. Only to leave shortly after when Matrim made her an offer she could not refuse. Now she under the guidance of Matrim Mitsukai is slowly working on her goal to become stronger. For a time there was peace, focusing all her time and energy into training with both Matrim and even developing a bond with his girl Sara things seemed to have been going well for her.
Until one night while her mind was left unguarded her split personality reared its ugly head again to carry out its goal. To destroy anyone Mitsukai was close to....starting with Kevala. Waking up suddenly in the hospital Mitsukai quickly discovered Nami's failed murder attempt she did the only thing she could do....
She left home, she left out of fear that her other persona would try harm another person she cared for. Intending only to return to pay for the harm she had caused due to letting her guard down Mitsukai moved from place to place. Keeping a low profile to avoid being found by any of her friends, or of any potential enemies the girl struggled to find a way to control her other side with no success. Every night when she closed her eyes Nami would wake up, roaming the streets to feed her blood lust. Every morning Mitsukai would wake up exhausted, her hands soaked in the blood of her other half's victims, day by day slowly losing her mind to madness.
Things would only get worse before they got better. One night as Mitsukai was trying to hurry back to her motel room she was finally discovered by Gabriel and Kevala. The two had come to pay Nami back for the damage she had caused but Mitsukai could not let them. It was too soon and too risky to allow that crazy bitch loose, not with Kevala so close by.
