Quest Name:All Hallows Eve Format:Multi-Post Interaction led by a "Leader"
This monthly, as will several other monthlies will be in a new format in order to gain a item set which grows in power the more monthlies you participate in. As thus, you can not simply sit back and toss out a single massive post, you will need to get involved with the story. Reward:+5 EXP Customized Item Set: First Piece +1000 Cash Scenario: Halloween has always been a scary time of year, particularly for those who are aware of what can happen on such a night. The students of 259 have decided to have a Halloween ball, unfortunately for them, the night has come to the conclusion that this is not befitting of its legacy.
The doors have locked, the once lush landscapes outside of the school have disappeared, even the moon above, all of it has been replaced by a intense black void.
This is just the beginning though.. what will happen when the students realize they have been trapped in the domain of the spirits?
Due to the nature of the ball, you will not be able to get out of the main room as the rest of the school is closed off to prevent "troublemakers" and you also can not see out of the room due to decorations. This means your character can not be special and know what is going on before everyone else.
I will reveal the information in four - six days depending on activity.
Requirements:- Must have posted at least 2000 Words by end of thread.
- Must have a costume.
- Must be posted by October 25th, 2009
- You will follow a post order, that is, by the first set of posts. Your interactions will be allowed to continue for 2 days, where I will then post and things will move along as far as the story is concerned.
Post Order: This means that after the "spirits" start coming in and combat and such starts, you guys will have to follow the post order I set.

Arthur stood towards one of the sides of the ballroom. His body covered entirely to hide his disfigured form, as he bore the guise of one Scarecrow. Particularly of the Batman: Arkham Asylum variety, as it enabled him to include the respiration system he needed to keep breathing steadily, however he strayed from the costume slightly by wearing a tan suit underneath, to protect his body from infection. He stared at the procession of the ball before him, staring intently from beneath his mask. A distilled rage ran through his body slowly, angry at how these people did not need to bear masks and yet they were, whilst he was forced to regardless. Still, fighting here would get him no where, he needed to remain calm, see how things played out, learn more of the people of the school, and as it was, he stood there, observing. Almost immobile, the only hints of there being an actual living being under the costume was a slight rise and fall of his chest as the respirator made a slight noise of forcing air in and out of Arthur's body. This apparent lack of movement caused some of the new students, students from his year, who hadn't seen him since before the incident, stare intently at him trying to figure out who they were. A sudden movement startled his observers as Arthur began to shift his gaze around the room, staring up at the decorations of the room before his gaze swept towards the refreshments table. He began to stalk over there, clacking the metal needles covering his right hand together.

Voodoo knew what must be done. Voodoo showed up in a very freaky costume that many others would probably have chosen and probably will. He came as the Joker from Batman. With four scars coming off his face the make-up looked different. He had all the right make-up but with an extra four scars coming from the fight he had with the bloody shoes girl.
He looked around the room and decided he was going to leave. He walked over to the main doors and they were all locked. This wasn't going the way he had planned for it to go. He walked over to where a couple of students were standing. There was a princess, a mobster, and something else that Voodoo couldn't quite put his finger on. He stood in the group just listening in on what the students were saying while watching the rest of the room.

Sara peeked around the entrance to the ballroom, her eyes scanning the crowd of people. She heaved a smile sigh, a pout coming to her lips, when she saw that it was already quite busy and wasn't able to spot anyone she knew right off the bat. And the costumes... O___O Wow... Sara loved Halloween. Of all the times of the year, it was her favorite. Probably because she was still able to pass off as young enough to trick-or-treat... Maybe not in tonight's particular costume, but this wasn't the one she had worn trick-or-treating earlier. This costume was meant to drive the boys mad... With its short little dress, and the cute little shoes she had chosen, and it even had wings! She was one sexy angel if she did think so herself. The irony was not lost on herself either in her choice of costume, not that she remembered buying it though. Something inside her was laughing... LOUDLY. It was meant for one boy in particular though, but she couldn't spot him yet. But he would be there. Eventually. So Sara took one final deep breath, and stepped into the ballroom. Immediately, she felt like an idiot. You know what she needed? Something to hold in her hands. A drink or something. Then she wouldn't feel so awkward. Carefully, she picked her way through the crowd to the refreshment table.

Halloween, the boundary between the living and the deceased dissolved. Masaru never really understood the meaning behind the whole trick-or-treating business, but in order to fit in with the society, he must have some sort of costume. So, Masaru dressed as Halloween Sora, and entered the ballroom. He doubted he would find anyone who knew him here, most likely due to the lack of effort on his part. Masaru had no one he considered friends, some allies here and there, but he never got close enough to anyone to refer to them as friends. Perhaps tonight he may be able to have some sort of a social life? He himself didn't care either way, and decided to make his way to a seat near the refreshment table. Finding a seat, Masaru eased his way into it, trying not to look too closely at the other people at the party. If he looked out into the crowd, he would just see a blur. Ever since the correctional facility Masaru couldn't quite see only one image of any person. Not quite used to it yet, he had to avert his gaze to something else. But what? Masaru began to glance at all the decorations the ball had, including the unique design on the walls and ceilings. The school really knew what they were doing when they held parties. What was left for Masaru to do than gaze at his surroundings. People were too much of a hassle for him, and staring at a crowd too long would give him a headache...

The dark crimson hus would be lit by the limited night lights as Gabriel Seran encrouched the streets. His night apparel resembled 'Vlad The Impaler,' A silk drawn vest atop taut satin slacks. THe only thing that would cover his semi-exposed figure would be the darkened trenchcoat giving him a dark appeal. His face was pasty white powdered with a brand of cover and at the side of his lips he drew blood from a set of fangs. The attire suited him extremely well for such a dark night. He would walk to the school Halloween ball with a sense of mysticism behind it. Curious, quite curious this was in fact his luckiest evening. Always gave him a sense of empowerment on fright night. Upon entering the school grounds he paced his way towards the entrence of the main room staring down all the others for a brief moment. With his recent changes to his features he would appear a bit different and would hopefully go unnoticed. THe surgeries had taken a toll on his well-being but his spirit had never been more vigorous. Gabriel paced his way through the small crown befor making it inside waiting in a dark corner lit by the small jack-o-lanterns. This is where he'd wait for hisdate to arrive. A sly smile lit his features. Good keeping character....

dancing, lights, a spooky atmosphere, and plenty of drinks to spike... tonight was gonna be a GREAT night. enter victor, the tan blonde blue eyed man, if only he was really tall he'd be the perfect tall dark and handsome surfer guitar playing lovemaker of any girls dreams... so close, and yet so far. but Victor didn't mind, it certainly had never slown his libido down before. and why was the narrator speaking of Victor in such an overtly sexual way? maybe it had something to do with his costume... which resembled this guy though with his broader shoulders he probably appeared even more well muscled and quite sexy. Victor didn't care one way or another, he knew he looked damn sexy, and tonight was going to be fun he could feel it! in his pantsVictor walked calmly into the atmosphere, the dancing the costumes the sly smiles and quirky outfits, the many eyes of the people not really focused on any one thing. Victor paved a way with his giant shoulders and confident stride toward the punch bowl "Lady with a baby, everybody move, lady with a baby" he said loudly as he pushed through the crowds with a giant smile, eventually reaching the punch bowl. he reached in his pocket, pulling out a water bottle he had wrapped in a scarf. he untwisted the top, the hint of vodka tickled his nose an he smiled. it wasn't evil, he just wanted everyone to loosen up a bit, really enjoy the night. if he had been really mean he could have thrown in roofies or ecstasy or something that might actually mess you up. everyone should thank him for being so nice. Victor yawned as he nonchalantly, but very quickly threw the bottle up, hunching over the bown like he was getting the ladle to serve himself he poured the drink in one smooth motion, almost practiced. Victor smiled devilishly, pouring two drinks from his now alchoholic brew... he wondered if it was enough to taste? he had only used grey goose, so... it shouldn't be that bad.... his original choice had been absinthWOOOOOOOOOOO PARTY!I LOVE ABSINTHWalking out into the crowd with his two drinks he spotted a pretty girl, the first to catch his eyes. he walked over confidently, but slowly, making eye contact with her as he began dancing with her. his hips where in perfect swing to the rythym and though he didn't do any fancy dance moves, he definately knew how to dance. he offered the drink to the girl, and she took it, Victor smiled, but was then struck by nature's call. "Excuse me a moment... I'll be right back" he said with his big smile, cutting through the crowd again toward the bathroom. as he walked into the white tiled room Victor found the first urinal he could *ZIP*and as the man relieved himself he looked up, out of a window that was higher above them to see... thats odd... no moon... or stars or really anything... *ZIP*This was worth investigating, maybe they where just hard to see from the bathroom. Victor walked outside the way he came from, stuffing his hands in his pockets and looking around... thats a whole lot of dark black nothingness... definately. Walking back inside Victor pondered this, it had come all the way down past the horizon...shrugging Victor continued walking, it was probably just a really extravagant decoration or something... somehow... Victor walked back toward the refreshment table to find Sara Quinn awfully near his punch bowl... he smirked casually, knowingly, and on the inside victor began to laugh a little"Want me to get you a drink?" he asked easily as he walked up, a gentleman's smile as he grabbed the ladle and poured her a drink, hoding the white plastic cup to her without a second thought about it. the darkness from outside crept back onto victor's mind but he pushed it away, he could deal with it later.

Halloween. Alex wasn't exactly Mr. Social Butterfly, but since he had gone to the Halloween dance back at Point Hope High, he didn't see the harm in attending the one here at 259. This year, he dressed up as ANBU Kakashi from Naruto, even dying his hair silver, and wore a sharingan contact in his left eye. Even though he was wearing a costume, Alex still kept the weighted anklets he wore constantly, on. Entering the gym, Alex looked around, trying to see if he recognized anyone. Looking at the table with drinks, Alex recognized the guy and girl standing there, costumes and all. It was Sara and Victor, though they probably wouldn't recognize him, seeing as he was wearing a mask over his face, and besides, it was pretty dark inside the ballroom. Alex decided to be a wallflower this time, and picked a spot at the wall near the table close to the door, leaning up against it, the black and gray armor and metal arm guards he wore blending in perfectly with the darkness in the ballroom, rendering him almost invisible, like a ninja one could say. He was waiting for a certain someone, though he honestly had no idea if she would come or not. Glancing over the crowd inside the ballroom, the mask Alex wore hiding his face, he was, for the most part, unrecognizable.

Mitsukai was standing in a corner of the ballroom alone watching the other students dancing and talking with one another with a bored look on her face. Socializing was never one of her strong suits, in fact if it wasn't for her relatives forcing her to come to this Halloween ball she'd be at home reading. Her aunt Cynthia and her husband George had come to pay her a visit this week. They were the type of people that were very outgoing and VERY social, they were always getting on her case about not having any friends and locking herself up in her room all day. It had been their idea that she should attend this event. They even went as far as to drag her into the school just so she couldn't run away.
Mitsukai glared down at the costume she was forced to wear to the party. It was a cutesy maid outfit, complete with a frilly dress and apron. She hated dresses with a passion, they were hard to maneuver in and depending on the length it were very easy to trip on. The outfit might not have been as bad as it was if her aunt hadn't thrown in the cat ears and tail...her aunt said it would 'match her eyes'. That woman sure was a sick and twisted individual, from the time Mitsukai was a small child whenever her aunt Cynthia came over to visit she'd always dress the poor girl up in outrageously cute costumes and 90% of the time it would always have some sort of feline theme. Fuck my life she though while fighting the urge to yawn. Tonight was going to be a long night....

The doors swung open, and in walked David Blaze, the clown.
Now, David was no ordinary clown. His makeup was smeared, his hands covered in what appeared to be blood, and a crazy look in his eyes. Everything else- the garb, the rainbow hair and giant shoes- they were all a part of the pattern, straight down to his nose. He would grin around at anyone who saw him evilly, before he began to take steps. Squeak squeak squeak went every footstep. His clown garb was also covered in blood, and he was a stark contrast to the male who dressed up as the joker. He let the smile leave as he walked slowly over to a corner where a girl stood, silently observing the crowd. He stopped about ten feet in front of her, and knowing that most people were afraid of clowns, wondered if she was too.
He reached up, and squeezed his own nose.
HONK.
He grinned, his teeth looking all greenish and cracked, oozing some strange black fluid from his mouth. He tilted his head a little. The girls costume was cool, as were many other people here. He didnt recognize anyone and probably wouldnt until he got in close and actually had a one on one conversation with them. He may be noticable only by the eyes- being one red and one blue it was kind of hard to miss out on him. He gave a frown, then spoke in a strange, high pitched voice he had adapted for his clowny, IT-like character.
"Why so said little girl? Turn that frown upside down!"
He then laughed evilly at his own joke, his voice rather intrusive on the entire party. Not that he cared- it was halloween after all, had to have SOME fun right?

Well get togethers wasnt really Spike's thing, but his dad insisted he go for at least the comic relief that usually showed up for these kind of things... Sure enough that old bastard was right. There was batman, the joker... a hot angel chick thing, some vampire, a clown.... A clown? Okay thats odd, maybe he was IT or something. Either way, Spike wasnt one for going overboard so he just dressed up like the Emoist of Emo anime characters, Sasuke Uchiha. Thats right fangirls, Spike was dressed like Sasuke.
Making his way to the punch he had a look on his face giving a similer look as that little emo fuck would, blank stare yet holding an aura that said 'I'm better than you... At everything.'
Making a cup for himself he savored the simplicity of the... SUGER FREE?!?! Bullshit. Spike moved to leave so as to go get his own sugar to add to the goodness, when he noted someone else had tried it... Locked?
~God damnit... I hate that old fucker.~
Was all Spike was thinking right now. It had been his dads fault he had been in fights here already to begin with. They all wanted to see that fuckers off spring do battle or something. Anyways he turned to look out a window near by... Yeah that wasn't freaky... On halloween.

The lone figure of a hooded cat girl was pressed through the doors, and she'd stand for a moment. Blue eyes peering out through the black mask of her costume. She'd look around for a moment, and soon sulk off to a corner, where she'd hope to hide herself. Her uncle had insisted on the cat costume, and it was Jenna who had decided to adorn the black mask, to shield her face. She stood by the wall, a tan, hooded costume hung from her shoulders. The dress ending above the knee. She was silent, allowing her eyes to glance around.
There didn't seem to be anyone she knew.
Thank god.
She fumbled with the tail of her costume for a moment, before finding a chair to seat herself upon.
"Hmmmm."
She could only imagine what excitement the night would bring. And she'd almost scowl at the thought of it.

It was hard to miss an eight foot man, but it was far harder still to miss said eight foot man when he was dressed in the manner Katsuri was tonight. The face of the behemoth was hidden behind thick shadow, covered from head to toe in what seemed to resemble a samurai’s armor. The plating on the suit was thick, painted black, and made entirely of metal, meaning the entire thing had to weigh nearly a ton on the already heavy man. It was no surprise he did not sit down, nor would he for the rest of the night as the weight of such a thing would snap the school chairs like a twig. Underneath that helmet, he had that secondary mask, the one which covered him from the nose down, the voice modifier having been modified to sound far more deep than usual. This was done so that the man could sound nearly on the edge of demonic while still being believable and not over the top. Scanning around from beneath the darkness of that hood like object on his head, he could see several people amongst the massive crowd that had packed into this place, knowing quite a few of them to boot. The best part about being him though right now? He towered above everyone else in the place, meaning he could see clean across the room without worry of getting lost. The suit he had on was not just for show either, as the thing had a set of dull blades, katana and tanto both wrapped up in the cloth like sash around his waist, holding them snuggly. A third blade had its sheath held in his hand, all of them oversized to a normal person given a proper blade was about half his height and sitting at nearly four foot in length, double that of a normal katana. The things he had, regardless of their ability to slash and stab, could easily break bone by the blunt trauma alone in the hands of the massive gorilla they belonged too.. but that was not the purpose of tonight. The purpose of tonight was to look great.. and he did.

Post by Matrim Gallagher on Oct 1, 2009 14:14:13 GMT -8
Matrim came into the room having just spent a lot of time and effort into getting the makeup correct for his costume for The Crow. He walked in and was even playing the part, the creepy smile, the memorized lines from The Raven to throw them in whenever he wanted to freak people out as well as some personal poetry. It was one of his favorite movies, one of the few he had seen as a kid. "Oh my," Matrim said as he looked around the room at all the costumes, "Oh, a clown, a samurai, a....maid? Cat woman, scarecrow.... and Sara as an Angel... boy if there were ever a more false advertisement..." Matrim walked over to Sara who was being offered punch by Victor, "Want me to get you a drink?""Only if you get one for me too," Matrim said. He turned to Sara and said, "That is a sexy looking costume baby," He would say and lean in to whisper something in her ear. "I can't wait to get it off of you...." He would whisper just barely breathing the words so that she would hear him. He was wearing leather pants, leather jacket, black shirts, long sleeves, black boots, painted his nails black, even used a temporary dye to make his hair black. He was 100% Crow all the way.

Alexis couldn't think of anything unique to go as. But the girl did not favor wigs, so she chose a costume that would not clash with her long black hair. And she came up with a sailor scout. She didn't have a date to the ball, but she didn't really care. She was just getting her mind off of anything. Nothing but a few interesting costumes can't fix... Okay, that is a lie, but still. She got into the area where everyone had been found. She already found some interesting costume. some people she new.. some she may know, but wouldn't be familiar to her in their costume and just some people she has never met before. Of course... Gabriel's costume didn't hide him well. She sighed and walked over to the refreshment table. A great place to hang out when being a loner. She wished she had got a mask or something... all she had was a lame tiara that would not hide her face like it did for the anime character in the series. Shame, tiaras don't hide identities in real life. Alexis stared down at the floor now, not paying attention to anyone. Apparently, it was a bad idea to come.
