It'd been almost a week since the fight that changed the way Chi looked at life for a while. Everything was so much harder with only one workable arm, the other encased in an annoying bulky cast. True, the boy she'd met at the rave, Atticus, had done his part to make it a little bit easier on the eyes, but that didn't make it go away.
The dark haired girl sat on a bench outside between classes, glaring at the cumbersome thing on her arm, thinking that maybe if she stared long enough it would go away, dissolve until she could see her skin again. It probably looked really gross. This line of thought drifted from her arm to her parents to just people in general. All of these thoughts had one thing in common, they made her angry.
'Hey cutie, did it hurt?'
Chi was broken from her thoughts when someone spoke up. She glanced up, dark eyes falling on a tall boy with spikey black hair. He was grinning smugly down at her. The freshman looked at him curiously.
"My arm?"
'No, when you fell from heaven.'
Chihiro scowled.
"Fuck off."
'You're not even going to let me ask you out first?'
Normally Chi would probably have humored the poor boy, twisted his overeagerness and left him to burn, but she was having a bad day. So in standing up, she drew back her left fist and sent it at his face in a flash, he hadn't even seen it coming. The boy fell backwards onto his ass, his books flying.
"How's that for an answer?"
She spat at him, dark chocolate eyes flashing dangerously.
((ooc: oops, I didn't read through it first, so many mistakes..oh well, you get the idea))

Goals. Travis had them, and he would carry them out. One of his goals lay with his gang. 'The Syndicate'. Currently, it was in the early stages of growth. Travis was constantly looking for people he could recruit. People worthy of a position in his gang. People that deserved it. He wanted the gang to grow, but he wouldn't just let anyone in. They had to have a certain personality. Or certain morals. He had to believe they deserved a spot. And he had to know how they handled themselves. That was definitely true. They had to know how to fight.
Soon enough though, Travis mind was ripped away from his thoughts as he heard a familiar voice speak up.
"Fuck off."
Yes. It had a familiar ring to it. And he knew it to be a female right away. He knew that she was the girl he had fought about a week ago. His vivid blue orbs would only cast his gaze toward the direction he had heard her voice. Only to see her slam her fist into some poor boy's face, and to watch him drop down to his ass. Of course, any students around would giggle and laugh out. That had to be humiliating.
"How's that for an answer?"
"I think he heard you perfectly.."
His steel-toed boots would click against the floor's surface as he made his way toward the slightly crippled female once again. This wasn't the first time he had seen her since their fight. No, he had seen her a couple times. It was alright though. He respected her, and she ha earned it in their fight. He had no reason to be mean or unfriendly anymore.
"Well.. I guess your arm isn't keeping you down that much, is it?"

"I think he heard you perfectly.."
Another new voice, but unlike the fresh boy, this one was familiar. Chi turned, catching sight of Travis as he approached her. A half grinned graced the girl's features as she clenched an unclenched her fist, that boy had a hard jaw.
"Yeah, I think so too."
Chocolate eyes sparked curiously as he mentioned her arm. She raised it up horizontally to about chest level, glancing down at her cast as she thought about his words.
"Not so much, but it's still a pain."
She moved her arm about a bit. It no longer hurt to move, but she still couldn't do too much with it. She could carry a few books, but not a ton, and she couldn't really grip anything, but Chihiro wasn't much to complain about anything. Another five weeks and it would be gone, she could survive until then.

"Well, if it means anything, I'm sorry I broke it.. I just couldn't help it."
He would only give a small nod as his eyes dropped to her cast, and then back up to stare into her brown orbs. He would give a small smile and then his lips would part, allowing him to speak.
"Your a tough girl. You can survive."
Most people got the wrong impression of Travis. Most believed that he was an asshole. That he cared about nothing and no one but himelf. Sometimes, that was true. He didn't really care about anyone else but himsefl. And he usually did something as long as it effected him in some way. But today, he felt like he was in a rather good mood. He felt like talking to someone, and seeing as she was really the only one he saw at this time, he would talk to her.

Chihiro smiled at this, it was nice of him to appologize, especially since she'd gotten the impression that he had a more stoic fighter sort of personality. The dark haired freshman shrugged, making her way to sit back down on the bench. There was a few minutes left until the bell rang, and she didn't feel like getting to class any too early.
Dark brown eyes glanced back up at Travis, and she leaned back with her hands resting on the edge of the bench as she looked up at him when he mentioned her stength for survival.
"It's all about survival isn't it? Survival in school, home, society, life...there's just no getting around it. Survive or get trampled."

"It's all about survival isn't it? Survival in school, home, society, life...there's just no getting around it. Survive or get trampled."
"Very true.."
This girl had potential. She could become so much more with time. She was a decent enough fighter already. And she would surely get better with time. And her attitude seemed ok. Though he guessed that she could get a bit bitchy as he had seen. But still, potential. There was some within her. Alright. Now here came a strange thought. Invite her to the gang. Put it up on the table and see if she grabbed it up. After all, the gang needed to grow, didn't it?
"Chi, right? .. I have a question. What would you say, if I gave you an invitation to my gang. It's still growing obviously.. But one day it'll be strong. It'll be nearly unstoppable. Would you accept?"

Chi lifted her head, quirking an eyebrow at his proposition. She'd been given one other gang invitation since the beginning of the year, and that one had been from a guy who's ass she'd kicked twice in a row, and then refused his offer. But unlike the first offer, this one seemed relatively more respectable. For one thing, Travis had been the one to kick her ass, no the other way around, which showed that the gang leader was indeed quite strong. Secondly, he seemed to be a bit more exclusive with his invitees than the other boy had been, he had just seemed desperate for members.
A thoughtful expression crossed the freshman's face as she considered this. She wouldn't simply jump at the offer, that would be quite stupid and impulsive of her, it payed to be cautious and knowledgable before agreeing to a binding commitment.
"What's your gangs name? How many members does it have, and are there any requirements I should be aware of?"
She'd heard of some gangs that made you shave your head or get a brand of some kind to signify that you were part of that gang.

"What's your gangs name? How many members does it have, and are there any requirements I should be aware of?"
Ahh. The inevitable questions that he knew that someone would surely ask one day. Now what to say? Lie and tell her they were quite popular, that the members never reveal themselves? Bah. No way. No reason to lie. He would simply tell her the truth. If she decided to join, then she did. If she chose not to, then that was that. No hard feelings. It was understandable that the gang-life just wasn't for everyone.
"Well.. The gangs name is 'The Syndicate'.. Members.. Heh. Lets just say that I'm careful of who I invite. I don't just invite everyone and everything in. I feel that the majority of the members should want to be here, and have some level of skill.. So currently? There is my co-leader and I.. Yes.. Only two. As for requirements, we don't have any at this time. And if we implement them later, we'll be sure to tell you.."

Hmm...a starter gang? Not too bad, at least he was being exclusive of his invites. And for him to be inviting her, it was quite the compliment. She thought for a moment, weighing the pros and cons of joining, before finally openeing her mouth to give him an answer.
"Alright, sure. As long as theres no insane requirements like you said there aren't, good, and its not a life long commitment. I've heard of gangs where'd you have to die befor eyou could leave. I don't like not having a way out. Comprende?"
She extended her left hand toward him, seeings that her right was still casted up from the last time they'd met.
"Looks like you've got yourself a new member."

"Sounds good. Don't worry. If you feel you have to leave, then you can. Though I would obviously like it if you didn't.."
And with that, he would get ready to shake her hand, having forgot about her arm for the moment, he had begun to send his right hand. But he quickly realized the small mistake he was making and corrected it. His left hand moving out to grab a hold of hers and give it a single firm shake. He would give a smile and then release.
"Welcome to 'The Syndicate'.. And here is my cellphone number if you need anything.. As for me, I have to attend class today. I'll speak to you later I guess."

Chi felt better knowing that she could leave whenever she pleased. Not that she wanted to leave or anything, but it gave her a sense of ease. She grinned as they shook hands, taking his cellphone number to put into her own phone. She ripped a small piece of paper from the notebook she took from her backpack, scribbling her own cell number on it and handing it to him.
"It was nice doin' business with ya, I'll see you around."
She smiled, putting her notebook back into her bag and swinging it over her shoulder. With a wink, she turned on her heel, making her way back into the building. And so it starts, she thought to herself, sondering of what lay ahead of her now.
