(OOC: Haha, redundant eh? An OOC note in the OOC section. But seriously, me and my good buddy Jack always wondered 'what if'. What if our two characters fought... because we always knew it was a horribly ungodly thing to happen..... so we're going to do it in OOC and actually finish it this time. Also, we're using items and our characters will be from the Point Hope timeline.)
Matrim made his way outside, his blue hair moving slightly in the cold Alaskan chill. He looked up to the sky, his hand coming up to give shade to his uncovered eye. It was difficult sometimes in Alaska if sun ever managed to come out, snow could blind you far worse than anything else but luckily it wasn't too sunny out, a bit cloudy to tell the truth.
"So," He said to himself stepping out onto the snow. He was wearing snow boots, jeans, and a white button down t-shirt completely unbuttoned, his chest exposed. He waited for Aternity to show up, "It's about that time.... guess it was only a matter of time...."
Awren blood must be spilled for what has happened to me, then I can forgive them. But I need to know... more important than any sort of vengeance I need to know if I am strong enough to beat him....
Matrim would turn around, and once Aternity showed up which would probably be in an instant he'd say, "Let's do this!"
And he would simply put himself into a balanced stance in a way where he could turn his head more and his arms were more widespread to protect from different angles. The thing about Aternity was he could teleport instantly, and that meant that expecting him to come straight for you left a big sign on any exposed area that said "Kick Me"
Still, he'd be unprotected in a lot of areas, but at least this way he'd be a bit more prepared....

((OOC: Redundant OOC is redundant. Anyway. Welcome to the fight that would have ended the world. The reason this is not taking place in the IC forums is simple. This fight does not follow 259's rules, nor do I intend to become a full member of this board. That said, you are welcome to enter your characters in this fight, but by doing so, are waiving all rights to your characters abilities to defend themselves. They can, and will be god-modded. Cheers mates. =D))
((Character notes: Aternity stands at the massive height of 192 centimeters, while weighing in at roughly 70 kilograms. What he lacks in muscle, he makes up for in sheer tactical prowess, two mechanical limbs, and exceptional dexterity. His Qi involves that of dimensional portals, teleportation, and to a more recent note, unstable time travel. While the best of friends, as an Awren, he has no problem putting a dent in Mr. Gallagher's face. Unlike the women of the family.))
As usual, Alaska was frozen. Not dead frozen, for the wind itself kept up the noise, but it was more than cold enough to put even the hardiest of creatures into hibernation should they stay exposed more than a few minutes. Then, there were the creatures of another breed in which Mother Nature could not stop without a much more powerful force. The two brothers...half brothers that was.
Aternity himself was grabbed up as normal, with a few new renditions that better complimented his style. A hooded version of jacket, now with a shredded cloak was donned, and what more, the front of his hair was undyed, now showing a stark white in contrast to the deep green. His right eye no longer had an orange contact, and would glow blue in the current weather. However, the appearance wasn't so important.
The contact was.
The sun changed constantly, and with it, Aternity caught a glimpse of Matrim Gallagher. Why this fight was to be had, he didn't know, but the reasons would soon be found. Maybe Solly had picked another fight with him. It was unlikely, but certainly not out of the bounds of logical reason.
"This again? What, couldn't take out your problems on the toaster? Fair enough."
The hood came off. And the fight was on.
Aternity took off in a dash, aiming to close the distance, knowing Matrim wasn't stupid enough to go after him directly. However, Aternity, in his ways...was in that sort of mode at the moment. Rushing Matrim directly was one of the few things that would actually throw him off guard. Aternity phased, but not to the rear, not to the sides, but less than 5 feet in front of his face, throwing his dominant left arm to his chest.
Round one.
Fight.

(OOC: This Matrim's focus is in Constitution. His mental stats aren't the greatest, but his strength and dex are equal and average. His eye patch hinders his Charisma, Wisdom, and Dexterity, but when off boosts his charisma. His Qi consists of a shield which rejects foreign objects and physical Qi's from penetrating. Should anything successfully penetrate it would result in the shield shattering. This shield doubles Matrim's constitution)
"This again? What, couldn't take out your problems on the toaster? Fair enough."
"Kind of hard to beat him around these days what with him being all nanites. Trust me though if I ever do find Solly's C drive I'll make sure to remove his floppy disk," Matrim said, "White hair huh?"
Matrim watched as Aternity took off toward him. He went on guard, Aternity knew good and well he was going to port, but Matrim knew the second he made an attempt to attack Aternity would simply port then and blindside him. It was one of those 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' scenario's. Matrim focused with his single eye looking straight ahead deciding to go on instinct.
Aternity vanished and Matrim's instinct was that Aternity would hit his blind side, the right side. His head turned right, and in that sense he saw Aternity clearly when he appeared in front, Matrim's left eye being directly in front of him. It went wide as a metal arm came toward his chest. Matrim reached with his left hand to grab the arm at the bicep as it hit, aiming to take Aternity down with him as he fell. Matrim's right foot would come up to connect with Aternity's chest and kick him over Matrim's body to send him flying over Matrim as he fell onto a soft blanket of snow.
If this succeeded, or even if Aternity ported away, he would continue the somersault and attempt to get back on his feet again before searching for the boy. Of course, if Aternity ported both of them, that would be another situation altogether.

((OOC: Likewise, Aternity is focused in mental stats and dexterity. At Point Hope in particular, he was THE fastest student there without items. And with items? Eeech. Good luck catching him. His physical weakness however hinders his ability to make severely damaging attacks without use of his Qi, although his speed and intelligence make up the difference.))
Eeech. This was going to be a long, drawn out fight, and while normally, a guy of Ternie's stature would not be able to endure for nearly the periods Matrim could, the fact that he could pick and choose his attacks evened the playing ground somewhat. That said, this little skirmish was probably going to last sometime...unless someone got bored. Which was likely in Ternie's case.
Momentum, momentum, momentum. That's what it was all about in fights with Matrim, and it was quite known by the both of them that getting it was the key in winning. At the moment, due to Aternity's rush, Matrim had the upper hand, but physically, due to Matrim's throw, he was TRULY above him. Yes. The boot hit, but it did not fit, and Ternie was launched.
This was how momentum worked. All you had to do was shift it.
In the air, Ternie flipped back upright while Matrim attempted to regain his footing. Another portal, and the momentum was transferred, along with Aternity's entire body to the other side of Matrim, taking full advantage of the fact he was going to need to get back up to a stable stance.
Upright, and above, a swift left kick to his neck would probably make Matrim think twice about keeping Aternity away from him.

A port took place, and a kick to the neck was the result. At least it had been done with his flesh and blood leg though, but it didn't change the sting that occurred as a result. Matrim was thrown to the side, sliding across the snow slightly. He reached up and ripped his eye patch off, feeling a surge of energy. He didn't activate his Qi quite yet, but he would now be a bit quicker and more reactive at least.
A burst of energy filled him but he refused to use it as he charged, getting reckless with Aternity was a mistake, a horrible one, but the Awren lineage had a way of pissing Matrim off, and when he was annoyed... he did stupid things. Matrim would come in low and attempt to punch the boy with a right hook. Matrim imagined he would disappear again, he just didn't know where to.
He aimed to continue the motion to perform a strange kick into the air of sorts to keep his body turning, bend down low, bring his left leg up and around and kick off his right leg to kick it up into the air and step down on his left before landing with both feet. This was to account for any porting Aternity might do from above or anywhere his kicks may reach. It left plenty of openings but if Aternity wasn't quick enough to see and happened to choose an attack from above or directly behind it would get the job done.

"Those two are fighting again."
"I'll get the popcorn."
"Can't you be even a little sensitive?"
"Nope."
The problem with kicking Matrim was that it was about the equivalent of kicking a truck, or a brick wall. Most often, you ended up hurting yourself. The only reason you wouldn't be hurt was because at least he didn't have so much weight that he didn't yield a little under the blow. A kick was nothing. Aternity himself often looked up to find a Boeing 747 in the air that would do the trick.
Alas, that would be overkill, and probably not smart.
Aternity didn't yet know what the eye patch was really meant for...in his mind, the only advantage Matrim was being given was that of depth perception. Alright, that was actually a pretty helpful advantage considering that he had trouble hitting Aternity already. And as it seemed, something WAS different. And it was a bit worrying.
Instead of fretting about the why, he was taking action now, simply dodging the blow without care which direction he was going to go. Matrim was being reckless. And now he would pay for it. Touching Matrim's arm, Aternity was going to pull him through a portal, and up to the 7th floor of the main building, where Matrim would proceed to kick nothing but a brick wall while Aternity stood about 10 feet back next to the window.
Hur hur.
Cheating was fun.

Matrim's foot hit brick, and while the brick gave a bit, so did Matrim's foot. It hurt like hell and immediately he realized what had happened. He turned hopping on one foot to look at Aternity..... Matrim got a bit angry.... a bit more angry in fact. Matrim charged, with a little bit of a limp I might add, and kicked off of his good right foot to try and slam Aternity in the face with his palm. There were a few pros and cons to this plan that Matrim carefully considered.
Perhaps Aternity would sidestep and let Matrim hit wall, at least it was his palm, and it was going first. Perhaps Aternity took the palm but created a portal behind him, that still put Matrim gripping Aternity's face and Aternity leading the way with his back towards wherever the portal faced on the other end. Aternity simply putting a portal under Matrim and above Matrim, letting him fall forever......
Matrim didn't want to think about that option. But one thing was clear, if he got Aternity by the face, he wouldn't be letting go soon, if Aternity simply sidestepped with no portals of any sort involved Matrim would hit the wall palm first and then kick off of his not so good left leg to try and tackle Aternity at the waist.

When the clunk was heard against the brick, both Solaris and Aternity were laughing, Lunari just shaking her head. The guys in the Awren family knew how to both efficiently derive the most humiliation out of Matrim, while in return, receiving the most amusement. Seeing him hurt himself like a caged monkey was a great way of doing so. The problem was, the amusement came when fighting.
And Matrim tended to be built like a truck.
Which was now hurtling at flank speed towards a vulnerable trickster.
Well, there was a solution to that! Snapping his fingers, a doorway portal appeared, and as Ternie dived for a safe spot, he closed the portal, sealing the silly one on the other side of the wall. Hur hur. Check. Aternity turned around at the portals entrance and started his walk.
This fight was done.
"Your brother is being an idiot again is he?"
"Something like that."

A hand would break through the wall, reaching to grab Aternity by surprise around the chest and pull him back through the remaining larger chunk of wall to throw him back into the room. Was Matrim Iron Man'ing his way through this fight? One could argue that. His fist bled from where he went through wall, but he didn't mind that quite yet. He determined it wasn't yet time to use his shield. Instead he would jump into the air, and raise a fist, his knees below him he'd aim to land on Aternity's torso and land a clean punch to his face.
Not so fast Aternity!
"OOOOORYAAAAAAAAAAA!" He said in an excited tone. This could not end well for Matrim....
