Grayon looked at the screen of his laptop, checking his stocks while they were in between updates... which he hated. So Bastion, out of sheer boredom, cruised over to a news site. That really told you he was bored, since he distrusted news of any kind, especially on the internet. The news could be editted to say whatever someone wanted, which most people believed.
Grayon sighed and clicked through a few articles, before switching over to a technology site. He marveled at the new technology coming out, which always seemed to be improving by leaps and bounds.
Grayon looked up to scan the area he was in, seeing noone else in the gym as he looked about. And why would he? It was during the study hall and lunch times, and few people went to their study halls. In fact, many teachers didn't either, since their students never showed up. So they roamed the halls to watch over the students. Grayon had just recently found that few people ever visited the gym at this time, since the courtyard outside proved to be the most popular place to hang out, and had decided it would be the best place to get some peace. However, he also knew his luck, which would most likely mean someone would come in rather soon.
Grayon looked back down at his laptop and sighed as he finally closed the internet browser and loaded up a game of solitaire. He liked the simplicity of the game, and it actually game him a sense of calming. As he played on, he looked down and reached into his pocket, pulling out the only item he cherished and would never let go. It was the only item he still had of his mother, and it was the only reason he had to keep living. Grayon sighed as he slipped it back into his pocket and continued to play on. He wasn't bored, but just wanted to waste time. He had nothing better to do anyway.
