I dream in darkness I sleep to die, Erase the silence, Erase my life, Our burning ashes Blacken the day, A world of nothingness, Blow me away
Do you wonder why you hate? Are you still too weak to survive your mistakes? “What do you plan to do now,” Reira asked Demetri the morning the news was made public. “I’ll have to negotiate with Bart. I’ll take Mischa over to The Palace. Gabriel’s smart. It won’t take him long to put the pieces together. Until then, you stay here and play naïve. He’s still your boyfriend.” “And if he knows you and Mischa are responsible?”Demetri’s brow furrowed with worry. “I doubt he’ll hurt you. You did nothing wrong. But if worse comes to worse, meet us at The Palace --- If we’re still there by then. If not, fly to Italy. Go to Nathanial’s house. I’ll find you there.”~~~ The only light that illuminated the large room was the violent whipping of lightening. The continuous fall of rain was her lullaby. Not a soul, other than her own, wandered the house that night. As the weather was foreshadowing, tonight would be a night of unrestrained fury. She was the Queen on the chessboard. She was in the middle of it all, wasn’t she? Full, glossed lips parting in a sick grin, she loaded the handgun, and rubbed the cold metal surface against her cheek. This would be her playmate tonight. Cocking the gun, the eerie clicking sounds seemed to rise above that of the thunder. God was always watching. Strapping the weapon around her thigh, it was perfectly hidden by the white dress she wore. Everything was in place. All she had to do was play the game. Oh and how she just loved playing games. Finding her way back into the living room, only using the light from the lightening outside, she sat upon an office chair, one leg crossed over the other, heeled foot tapping in impatience. What was the headline in France today? Seran Angel Murdered. The news was out. And soon, very soon, the King would come calling. As his Queen she would play her role perfectly…after all, she did have children to protect. So she waited, expecting the worse, but prepared for so much more. Chair facing the large glass windows overlooking the sea, Reira grinned. Did she just see the powerful beam of some headlights? Biting her lip in anticipation, she listened. Heavy boots were coming towards the front door --- a loud crash of thunder bellowed as the door was thrown open. The King was awfully mad. She felt terrible to have to do this to him because she did care for the Demon Lord too much for comfort, but it needed to be done. He wasn’t the only one with pride. With the flick of her wrist she turned the main lights on. The once darkened atmosphere was corrupted with soothing light. With an emotionless face, she turned around in her chair and faced him. “Hello Gabriel,” she said with a sad tone in her voice. “I wasn’t expecting you at this late hour. Is everything alright?” Fake sympathies. It was just a fucking game. So sorry Gabriel, but you’re Queen seems to be as sick and twisted as you are. Careful, this one likes to bite hard. In a dream Will you give your love to me? Beg my broken heart to beat Save my life, change my mind?
Guess it wasn’t real after all Guess it wasn’t real all along

Death, rock me asleep, Bring me to quiet rest, Let pass my weary guiltless ghost Out of my careful breast. Toll on, thou passing bell; Ring out my doleful knell; Let thy sound my death tell. Death doth draw nigh; There is no remedy.
The Death March rang on As Gabriel heard the ringing off bells in his ears. The youthful body of his beloved cousin Aubrey had been murdered here. Her death was an unforseen one and Gabriel sat there stunned clutching her ragged cold body as the rain came in from the broken roof top. Plop, Plop; They fell like an army unto a battlefield taking war to the mortals which lie beneath in their thing they derive as life. The clutchs of death seemed stronger than Gabriel's clamp around her muddled body, the sobs of his anguish shared with every quiet shadow their.
Their Lord had lost his well known control, everything about his charisma and strength came to naught now. Their soulless eyes sought vengence from him but all he could put up was sorrow. Evil Begit Evil and he had no heart left within him to give to her.
My pains who can express? Alas, they are so strong; My dolour will not suffer strength My life for to prolong. Toll on, thou passing bell; Ring out my doleful knell; Let thy sound my death tell. Death doth draw nigh; There is no remedy.
The drawn out anguish was quelled as they pried loose the hysterical Lord to the Highness' bed chambers. He lost all senses there burning all that he touched. The satin sheets coiling from beneath his breath and the silk sheets seething in smoke and ash. A focused calm was surmising now as Marcus entered the room.
"Lord I warn you, this is disturbing.." The man said weakly only getting a steril response from Gabriel's stoic figure.
The video would play catching the event in play. Each rewind cause more explicit damage. He could nearly smell the iron rust peel from her frame as the bullet entered. Murder was on the mind and Gabriel was cold.
"We killed the wrong girl. I'm sorry for killing*Static* boyfriend's cousin...I'm going to tell your--uncle to try and keep this from-*Static*"
A flinch and his eyes set dead upon the screen. It had to be a mistake, Reira? An impulse fired in his brain forming mental synapsis and Gabriel broke into a futile laugh of hysteria. The very one he loved could she have killed Aubrey, was she responsible for it all. Fury seethed within him now as even the frame of the television melted away from beneath the force of his Qi. Death commeth on wings of Angels... Gabriel was a Demon Angel.
"Marcus get me a vehicle." Demanding with haste.
Alone in prison strong I wait my destiny. Woe worth this cruel hap that I Should taste this misery! Toll on, thou passing bell; Ring out my doleful knell; Let thy sound my death tell. Death doth draw nigh; There is no remedy.
The speedy travel was hastened as Gabriel broke whatever law at his disposal to get there. Rather than even waiting for the gates to open to the sea side mannor Gabriel ran over the fence and left the car to roll. His impatient furious stride caught the very front lawn on fire. The cement melting beneath his feet. Fury seethed in him and he set loose the demons of hell.
“Hello Gabriel,” The voice broke his courage sending Gabriel into a sudden stop. "I wasn’t expecting you at this late hour. Is everything alright?”
He couldn't even look at her now. The thought of having her dead was suddenly as bad as losing Aubrey, Eva, Alexis. They were all gone to him, Gabriel the lifeless shell of a man. He rested against the doorway using one arm to balance himself above the pressure of rage. His hand melting away the door easily.
"I want to know somethign Reira..." Gabriel would say quickly, "Did you kill my cousin?"
Farewell, my pleasures past, Welcome, my present pain! I feel my torments so increase That life cannot remain. Cease now, thou passing bell; Rung is my doleful knell; For the sound my death doth tell. Death doth draw nigh; There is no remedy.

Reira stood from her seat, taking a cautious step towards him. How pitiful he looked. That poor, sweet, innocent thing. He had just lost his cousin. No. He had lost so much and she was the only thing he had left. Yet…he was losing that too. Reira had to pretend. She had to pretend to care. She had to lie to him. It was something that she was used to doing, but not to Gabriel. But if it was to protect her family, then she’d even steep that low. Pushing such thoughts deep within her mind, the once caring and compassionate Reira was now no where to be seen. There was only deceit left.
Her movement towards him stopped as she saw his activated Qi. My my, he really was a shattered mess. One could do a lot of insane things when they feel that low, that pathetic, that helpless. She had been there before, she knew the feeling. The apathetic look still there, she acted worried and concerned. The price of the truth was too much to pay, even if she was filthy rich. Confidence fueling her fire, she was about to speak, when he said something that momentarily made her filter.
"Did you kill my cousin?"
She didn’t know what to say. He thought she had killed his cousin?! But that was impossible. She wasn’t even involved in the hit and here he was, accusing her. Someone made a mistake. Someone made a big fucking mistake. This certainly fumbled up her game plan. But she was Reira. The girl wouldn’t let such news cause her failure. In fact, she even thought of the option to openly admit that yes, she did kill his precious Aubrey. At least then Mischa would be safe, along with Demetri and Bart---though she cared very little for Bart, but his family was in close ties with hers and if she had to be a greedy little bitch to keep them safe, then she was prepared to destroy Gabriel. Heartless? Being heartless was how she survived. It was one of Keira’s better lessons.
“You’re cousin is dead?!,” she said, shock in her voice. Such an actress. “And you think I did it? Are you insane,” she shot back at him, pretending to be appalled. “I have no idea what you’re talking about..” She pressed her thighs together slightly, taking comfort in the weapon being held there. If she knew Gabriel at all, he could get very crazy at times. A lot like herself. “I can’t believe...it.” Her voice was unwavering. Good ol’ Reira.
This was unbearable. How she wished it could be different. Then maybe for once she could have a normal relationship.

Playing so coy, Gabriel 'Knew' she'd done it, she had to have. Gabriel's mind ran in circle's furiously as he sized her up. It would only take an instant to avenge his cousin if he was pressed. He stood there however, never moving faltering to make a movement from the door as though those hinges held him in place. They held him from burning the place down, from killing Reira.
"..." He motioned with his mouth silently not getting the words out. It'd take a moment to know the truth.
Gabriel shot forward past the door lunging at Reira, the handle's losing their hold on him. His arm would be around her now his body edged in perfectly from behind his left hand clutched tautly around her throat. All the while his right hand was rested on her chest. A momentum of the last time he'd held her like this.
The flash hit.
The words hit him harder than any thrown punch could have ever struck him. This was the very same as it had been nearly six months ago. A fiery sweat dripped down his features as he edged for control. His right hand moved down between her thighs. There was the loaded weapon of his demise.
*Click*
Loaded and ready in his hand now. Fingers trailed a line there still remaining after the weapon was freed. To become a murderer again would be nothing. Could he ever kill her? After that promise he'd made... Gabriel remained there thinking. Ashes to Ashes and dust to dust. The concurrent surge of his Qi kept low now, focused into a vibrating warmth that spiraled there. Deadly in a moments notice.
The gun leveling now trailing along with Gabriel's fingers up Reira's body till it was placed over her heart. He could do it. He was so sure of himself now. Grasp was strong furiously so. He could do it. Gabriel continued trying to tell himself.
"Please... Tell me the truth." Gabriel said in a near sob kissing the back of her neck keeping his chokehold their as to prevent a recourse of the event at Ground Zero.

Here they were. Together in a time of chaos, raging emotions, and discord. It was just like that time six months ago; back at Moral Crest High, where she was held hostage in front of all those people, by non other than Gabriel. Therefore it was no surprise to her when he lashed out and held her by the throat. She expected as much, why else would she be carrying a loaded gun. Looks like these two had major trust issues. Unflinching, she did nothing to stop him. She felt his cruel hold upon her neck, along with the subtle vibrations of his Qi coming for the hand that was rested on her chest. So, he was going to kill her now, was he? We’ll see about that.
With eyes colder than ice, she glared at him. Not saying a word, just channelling all her rage into that one, intense stare. Her hand would grip at his wrist, digging her nails into his skin. Her other arm would be busy secretly grabbing her hidden weapon. Bad move there Reira. The boy was more observant than she gave him credit for. Obviously seeing her reach for the gun, the hand that was on her chest ventured down her thigh and got the prize. There goes her weapon and her current plan. Things were going to get very ugly, very fast. Goosebumps appeared on her skin, as he trailed the gun back to her chest.
“There is no truth to tell,” she said, her voice ruthless. “Shame that you would immediately blame me. I thought you cared enough about me to at least trust me.” In a way she was contradicting her own words, but she didn’t kill Aubrey. She knew of who did it and why, but she wasn’t her murderer. If he could threaten her, she would do so in return. Confident that he wouldn’t kill her, hurt maybe, but not kill she went ahead and said words that would probably drive him over the edge. “Are you going to do a better job this time?” Cruel, very cruel. She knew Gabriel thought he was the reason for her death. Those words would hit close to home.
Hoping that would distract him, she made her move. Bringing her arm up, she slammed her elbow into his forearm on the arm with the gun to her chest. It was a risky move, but she had no other choice. With her other hand, she would take repossession of the gun, aim it at his leg, and then fire. The sound of the boom it created rang in her ears. Stepping back, her eyes wild, she laughed. It was a laugh that said of how much she was breaking down on the inside. It was too much, no matter how strong she thought she was. This was Gabriel, the man she thought she loved.
“I already told you, I didn’t kill your precious Aubrey! But you know what, you probably won’t believe me either way. So fine then. YES, Gabriel, I killed your cousin!” The gun was still pointed at him. “What are you going to do now? Huh?! Kill me?…Try.”

There was nowhere left to run any longer. The man there now was the very same man six months ago at the end of his leash prepared to do the worst deed imaginable. This time was different however an inner turmoil, the love of his life held in a cold embrace. Everything heated to an intense pressure except the cylindrical barrel of the gun.
“There is no truth to tell,” she said, her voice cold and empty. “Shame that you would immediately blame me. I thought you cared enough about me to at least trust me.”
Gabriel didn't falter breathing heavily now trying to control everything at once. So engrossed by the thought of killing her he began to consider such a thing. A fiery hand played the trigger like a violin. Ready. Ready.
"Why do you think you aren't dead yet?" Gabriel retorted coldly back at her.
“Are you going to do a better job this time?”
He flinched however in the same reaction his grip grew tighter around her throat. He knew Rei too well, she'd use his weaknesses against him to make him bow. She already had the advantage. A metaphorical sense of catching him with his pants down.
He resited the tug of Reira's assault not letting loose his grip. He wasn't going to give up on her yet. All that was lost, his heart still remained for her. Giving one inch would mean for her to be lost forever.
“I already told you, I didn’t kill your precious Aubrey! But you know what, you probably won’t believe me either way. So fine then. YES, Gabriel, I killed your cousin!”
Gabriel stood expresionatly emotionless. He was still torn between two worlds. His heart and his body. The cold lifeless body sought release whilest the strong beating heart wanted pain.Only one way to cure them both.
*Click*
“What are you going to do now? Huh?! Kill me?…Try.”
Gabriel's lips ran up to the back of her skull kissing her for what he could only expect to be the last time. Taking in the last good breath of air. Hatred had poisoned it so, and yet he was still hooked like a drug addicts reaction he was suffering for it now.
"No, I would never hurt the one I love most in this world..."
*Bang!*
A body dropped to the floor with a sudden thud. Falling back into the couch painfully. Smears of blood across the floor staining his clothes.
"You're all that I have left..." He said with a solumn tear burning away the floorboards and upholstry strewn about him.

Her hands were shaking as she saw the aftermath of what she had done. The crimson colour of blood seeped through Gabriel’s pant leg, as he stumbled back onto the couch. Gasping slightly, she dropped the gun and stood motionless, not knowing what she should do next. Away with the façade! She felt horrible. She wanted to just drop down beside him and tell him everything the truth. But she couldn’t risk it. And so she had to go on pretending that she was truly some cold hearted bitch. The guilt was building. The only way she knew how to channel such guilt was with anger.
“Don’t say that,” she yelled. “No. You don’t love me. You don’t know me.” She watched as his Qi was slowly eating away everything around her, like some sick nightmare where a higher power could un-create things with a flick of his wrist. “Alexis. She loved you, and you her. You could’ve trusted her, she would never have done something like this to you,” she said, holding back tears now. “I can’t be trusted….” Bringing her shaking hand to her lips, she blew him a kiss. “Goodbye Gabriel.” Those words spoken, symbolized the end of them.
She had to get away. Forget everything. She did the right thing right? It was for her families protection! If that was true, then why the hell did she feel like she was making a god damn huge mistake. Shaking her head, she continued to run through her house, aiming to exit out the front door. Throwing the door open, she ran into the rain, the water immediately soaking her. The rain made it harder to see and she frequently slipped as she ran to the nearest vehicle, which was a black SUV. Hoping into the driver’s seat, she started the engine and slammed on the gas. Poor, traumatized Reira. It would’ve helped if you actually put the gear in reverse, not drive.
Before she could slam the break, the SUV had slammed forcefully into the front of the house. The sudden impact caused the front of the SUV’s front side to get pretty smashed up. Reira had hit her head pretty hard on the windshield. “FUCK!” Squinting, she could’ve sworn her vision just blurred there. Not noticing the trickle of warm blood falling down her forehead, she got out of that car, ran into the garage and hopped into Porsche Carrera. This was the original vehicle she was planning on leaving in, which was why her cell phone, keys, and purse was in it. Starting the vehicle, she made sure she was in the right gear….and got the hell out of there, black tire tracks left behind.
She was totally shaking now. From the cold and from the guilt. It was all she could do to focus on her driving. In her rear-view mirror she saw a large explosion. Reira let out a defeated scream and tears actually came out then. The SUV had probably exploded, which meant there would probably be a fire. She hoped that Gabriel was out of the house…or no where near the explosion. Trying to remain calm, she tried to call Demetri. No answer. Then she tried to call Chuck. Demetri was supposed to be at his house.
“Chuck. I think I need help,” she sobbed.

That night his heart broke. Again the shattered pieces filtered out along with the crumbling stage he was performing on. This wasn't a game any longer, just when he'd seen Olivia dead he realized this, the world needed to change. But Gabriel wasn't strong enough. He sat there watching his life sift away into the many small pieces of ash. The rumbling sound of a bomb exploded outside. Fire rustled about as did the turbulent air and rain.
"Hurt..."
His words faltered out as the fire distanced itself from his immobile body. Shudders trembled up but no reaction was felt. Gabriel was a dark soul, the Demon Lord lie behind slitted eyes deciding it was time to die here. Amongst the brush of fire and hail.
"Love?"
His speech trickled on endlessly as the blank stare made no motion to shift. The creaking of buildings falling in about them. Gabriel knew what was coming the storm. But he wasn't strong enough. His crimson eyes flitted about the fiery room catching the last ornate detail. It was a picture of Reira, she smiled true as could be pure.
The world needed chance with the coming storm. The Demon Lord's wings beat back to change the coming tide aim to give breathe to the lifeless and spirit to those in need. Was he strong enough.
"I forgive you..."
The Dark Lord stood from his throne of as and dust staring out unto his threshold as the small vehicle tore off. This was his dominion and he would create it anew from the ashes he sought to create. Gabriel Seran would find the strength. In the darkness he walked off thru the flames a changed man.
