Well it was quite a while since Karel had even been seen as the illusive gang leader of Reign of Blood. How gangs worked over here was something of a mystery to him - but as he contemplated the thought his feet moved one after the other, walking along in the courtyard just in front of the first building.
As much as he wanted... he hoped no one here would recognise him. It sorta' sucked to be famous... or infamous. But thanks to the member of Reign of Blood, their popularity had soared - and as they were in one of the world's most well known and popular cities, being unknown was something that was slightly out of the question.

Vivid blue orbs would soon set upon someone familiar. Well, unfamiliar actually, but rumors of who he was had spread around the school rather quickly. Former leader of the rather notorious gang known as Reign of Blood. In a city far from their current location. Word is that RoB was one of the strongest gangs to ever grace the land. Who knew if that was true. All Travis knew was that he wasn't in New York anymore. This former leader was in a whole new territory now. One that Travis would hope to control in the near future.
Travis had one thing in mind now that his eyes set upon this person. He couldn't help but want to fight him. To see just how strong he really was. See how strong his former gang could really have been. And there was really only one way to do that. To fight him. So that is what he would do. Travis' steel-toed boots would click against the courtyard pathway as he made his way toward the senior.
"You.. Your the one that has all those rumors flying around him right? Former leader of Reign of Blood?"

Tch...
It seems he could not avoid this sort of reputation. But, seeing as this guy was the first to actually come up and ask him, he figured he could use a fair few words to pass the time. Although he had spent his time dreaming to be together with his loved one and graduating peacefully, but it just seemed that was never possible. Turning around slowly to look over his shoulder, Karel half-turned his body to look at the more local gang leader - right shoulder facing Travis, Karel's almost uncaring complexion set their sights on the "boy".
"...and if I was?"

"...and if I was?"
Travis would only stop walking. Still staring toward Karel. He didn't actually know the boys name. He had only gotten wind that it start with a K. Eh, he didn't really care about the boy's name. He was sure he would learn it sooner or later. But right now he wasn't curious to find it out. He just wanted to see how he fought. If he really was as strong as they say, as skilled as the rumors said.
"I was just curious.. People say your strong. That your old gang was one of the strongest that exists.. I just wanted to see if it was true.."

"...oh?"
the senior student simply stood there, facing side-on to his potential opponent, speaking as if Travis was wasting his time. Although Karel's voice held no such tone, his minimalistic form of speach was enough evidence to suggest that he had his mind elsewhere. But he knew - he had faced off against many people like this in the past, and knew all too well that he wanted to fight.
So, how would Travis respond to Karel's lack of... interraction? Had they been in some screwed up state like Texas, they would of had a tumbleweed blow in with the wind~

"...oh?"
Travis would only stare toward Karel. His eyes would size the boy up as he considered what to do. Keep talking, or attack. Well, in most of his recent fights ,he had beent he first to attack. Maybe it was time to allow himself to sit back and see exactly what his opponents did. Maybe he would pickup something new. Or maybe he would see the same old boring shit that almost every other kid did. He wasn't sure if he would win this fight, he would certainly try. But he had a feeling it wouldn't be easy.
"Well.. how about it? I just want to see how skilled you are.. how about you make the first move?"

Karel simply turned his back once again to Travis - leaving a huge opening for the little gang leader to exploit at his whim.
"...I've got a better idea. You can have a handicap."
His tone was not that of cockiness. In fact, it was dead serious. Karel usually wasn't the sort to want to make the first move, and this was no different - he actually wanted to be left alone but with this sort of company, it seemed that just wouldn't happen. Awell.
Hands down - calmly by his sides, Karel awaited the proper movement.

"...I've got a better idea. You can have a handicap."
When the boy turned so that his back faced Travis, Travis felt slightly.. thrown off. The boy would really give him such an advantage? Or was it something else. A trick. A trap of some kind. He was probably more skilled then Travis would like to believe. Whatever. If he really wanted Travis to attack he would. But he would have to be careful. Who knows, maybe this guy would underestimate him. Maybe he would believe Travis to be extremely slow. Though maybe he was compared to the people this former gang leader had fought. There was only one way to find out for sure.
Travis would allow himself to begin running toward his opponent. Not full speed, but fast enough. His boots clicking as he picked up some speed. And now what type of attack to pull off- or try. He wasn't sure yet. What would the senior be expecting? Aerial? Travis wasn't really one for aerial attacks. Mainly because they had so many faults. He could attempt to slide tackle him, but there were easy ways around that. Maybe he would just have to attack more straight foreword. A simple knee maybe? Yeah. That would do, or so he hoped anyways.
As he neared his opponent, his final step planting his left foot hard against the pathway, his right knee bending and then shooting foreword, aimed relatively low, instead of high. His aim was for Karel's lower back, directed toward the center, so that he could possibly paralyze him for a short time. His arms would be held at the ready near his chest, just in case, so that he had the chance to counter or ward off any attacks.

A boy with a height of about 5'7" wearing a long, and long-sleeved black button down shirt, as well as japanese black hakamas for pants, came walking down the hall casually. His crimson hair hang down to his shoulders, going down from all directions from his scalp, even over his face. HHe stopped about 18 feet from the two.
He'd seen plenty of fights begin, and this was the beginning of one for sure.
" Woo! "
The short, skinny boy exclaimed loudly. He wasn't trying to get attention from anyone else around but them perhaps, he was... Well, he actually didn't know what he was doing.
So he stood, waited, and watched.

Travis' steps were loud, and any blind man would of rejoiced at this little fact. The timing between each step that the freshman took indicated a slower pattern that Karel could easily recognise - and in his experience as a fighter, it meant one of two possible things; that this guy wasn't sprinting, or he was just slow. What was even more of a give away was that Travis' final step before lifting his right foot meant he was bracing himself to do something that dealt with the legs. Why the legs? Because when a person usually used their fists to attack someone, they usually had a heavy step and a light step to follow it so that they may balance their body's stature or risk falling short.
And finally, the last thing Karel took into mind was the possibility that it could have been a kick coming from the side in a sweeping motion. It was immediately ruled out as he knew such an action could not be achieved with that sort of speed. So, he arrived at one conclusion - a forward lunging knee attack.
Now, it was Karel's turn to act.
The very second he heard that heavy step made by his opponent, this ex-gang leader took a medium step forward with his right leg - his body moved in the air, as his left shoulder drew back, resulting him to turn towards his opponent at the same time - Travis' attack falling short of Karel's body. And now, Karel was facing his opponent face-to-face, with but a half metre between them. His head slightly tilted forward as Karel's eyes seemed to be set on Travis' knee.
"...."

And so it happened- or it didn't happen. Karel had just completely caused Travis to miss. He hadn't even been able to surprise him from behind. Yes, it was slightly upsetting to see Karel dodge in such a way, and not even attempt to attack after. And it would seem that he was fixated on Travis' knee now. And now what to do? Karel hadn't attempted to attack. But that didn't mean Travis should let down his guard. But what to do now? Obviously he would attack again. Though he would try to make it somewhat obvious. Maybe the ex-gangleader would attempt to counter and Travis could pull something off.
As his right knee had missed, and he would still be moving foreword with it, he would unfold that leg, and drop that foot down against the pathway, leading his body a short distance. His left leg would then immediantly leave the ground, and he would lunge that left knee straight toward Karel. Obivously, he would aim it somewhat low again. He hoped to hit him in the stomach area. Though he was beginning to doubt he could actually hit him.

Travis' attack had its good points, and bad points. In this position and current flow of him moving forward, Karel would only be able to strike back at him with his upper body - but even that could not happen as the freshman's forward lunge would intercept him before his arm could reach his body. This senior had no intention of blocking - especially a forward thrusting knee like that. However, calculating the physics behind Travis' chosen motion, Karel knew one thing that seemed important: the more steps Travis would take, the more drastically his momentum would slow down. Why? With every step he took - regardless of his forward motion, he would disperse a certain amount every time his body came in contact with something else - in this case, the ground; the difference between his second attack and potentially third attack to his first, was that his first had gathered the momentum from his previous running approach. With that said, Karel could keep stepping back with ease - since his original velocity was 0, he could keep just outside of Travis' range, and the momentum dispersed with Karel's steps were not as high as that of this freshman gang leader.
And so, as Karel's left foot came to the ground he took another leap - but this time since he was facing his opponent, it was backwards - the momentum next to unchanged from his forward movement from his previous action. As he did so, he brough his right hand up by the side of his rib cage to help add to the backward momentum.
At this rate, Travis would still fall short; and continue to fall short if he kept up this plan - and having been looking towards the direction he had been moving towards beforehand, Karel knew had plenty of room to move. And still, Karel's eyes continued to seemingly stare at the boy's feet.

Once again, Karel wouldn't attack. He would simply jump backwards, and keep just out of Travis' reach. It was annoying, that was for sure. ANd it would cause Travis to become slightly agitated. For some reason, he believed that this former gangleader was simply toying with him. Playing with him and hoping to defeat him by simply dodging everything and having Travis tire and give up? It was possible. Very possible indeed and that wasn't something Travis was willing to do. He would attempt another knee, this time only slightly diffent. If Karel reacted in the same manner, Travis would change up his gameplan. He just hoped he could make contact this time.
And once again that left leg would drop down quickly, and his right leg would lift. This knee would be sent in pretty much the same manner as it had been sent the last time, but once the knee was fully extended as far infront of his body as he could get it, it would unfold and he would attempt to kick his leg out, and hope to catch the boy with the tip of his steal-toed boots, right in the gut. Once again he doubted his ability to connect, but he would have small hope. Just maybe it would connect this time, and cause the boy to trip up or something? Who knew. He would just have to wait and see.

Karel proceeded to move back once again, but as his left leg was about to come back down to the floor, he spotted it - there was a damn good reason why Karel was watching Travis' legs. You see, by keeping the waist area in his view, Karel could dictate any movement that this freshman wanted to take - because the hips and the shoulders were the two main areas of the body that could dictate the four limbs' movements. At this particular point, however, extending one's foot wasn't so easily seen - which is exactly why Karel was watching it; to sort of "guard" his "blind spot".
This of course, was not Travis' only mistake. In fact, his attack would have worked had he been the faster of the two - but he was not, and with that in mind, one must also consider the rapidly decreasing momentum in Travis' repetitive attack pattern. Add the two together, and you have a speed that was easy for Karel to keep up with - that is the price one must pay for underestimating the opponent. But one final factor that Travis had most likely not considered, was the error in his attack pattern - so far, Karel's right leg had been moving back when Travis was striking with his left; and right now, Karel's left leg was moving back as Travis's right leg was being extended forward.
And now, he would pay the price - he had opened himself upto the ex-gang leader and was going to regret it.
Karel planted his right leg down and brought his left leg a shoulder's length behind it - essentially shifting his body so that Karel's right shoulder was now facing Travis' front. Due to this motion, the elasticity effect caused Karel's right fist - which had been at his rib's side to shoot forward - dead ahead toward the left side of Travis' chest; the heart. Of course, such a critical part of the body could easily result in the boy's death in the worst scenarios, but what added to that chance of fatality was the fact that Travis' momentum was still moving forward - meaning that he was about to impale himself on Karel's balled up fist. Due to his action of the leap-like kneeing, it meant that this guy wasn't going to be able to move out of the way anytime soon. With this sudden movement, Karel had most likely taken the boy by surprise.
It was all planned - and Travis had fallen into it. The only thing that this freshman could ever hope for now, was that he had drank enough milk in his childhood to build those strong bones so his ribs might not break. Boy - would that suck, dying because you didn't drink enough milk.

So far this senior had been able to dodge everything that Travis could dish out so far. That wasn't a good sign. And he feared that he might actually lose this time. It would be his first, definitely. But did that necessarily make him weak? Not really. It just meant that this senior was so much more skilled, much better all around, then Travis was. But he hoped to be at his level sooner or later. After all, that was where he was looking to go. Up. He wanted to get stronger, to become more skilled. To learn new things. And that is why he fought so often. To better himself.
And so at this point in the fight, Travis could have given up, called it quits. Because it didn't really seem like he was going to be able to do anything. And it would seem that he would probably get really injured if he kept up with it. But he needed to keep up with it. He couldn't just give up. If he was going to lose, it wouldn't be because he backed out, but because he was truly beaten. Respect for this fighter was already building, and Travis could see why people believed him to be dangerous.
Well, as his kick had missed again, this time instead of just dodging the attack, it would seem that Karel ad decided to attack. The only good thing about this? Travis had is arms by his chest the whole time, folded and ready. Now, what would he do? There wasn't to many things he could think about in his current situation. He didn't want the boy's first to connect, for fear of breaking something important. As the punch came in, Travis' left hand would be there, and as the punch connect with Travis' palm, his fingers would immediately clamp around his fist. And though pain was present, Travis would clench his jaw and suck it up. He would attempt a counter, though he didn't know if it would be successful.
Travis would attempt to stomp his leg back down to the ground, in hopes of salvaging his balance as best he could, and as he clenched his fist upon the boy's, his right arm would shoot to grab at the top of Karel's right forearm, just at the elbow. With that, he would slide his leg foreword a bit, and then allow his body to twist to the left a bit, and backwards. Having been forced backwards a bit from Karel's Blow, Travis would attempt to pull Karel's arm, in turn pulling his body so that he would trip over Travis' extended leg and be set straight toward the paved pathway, face first. Now Travis obviously wasn't as fast at this boy, but even so, this counter would have been performed relatively fast. And though there wasn't a 100% chance it would work, there was still a chance. Even if he was going to lose today, he would attempt to give this ex-gangleader a good fight.
