1st Scene
"The points of the head. Gall Bladder 4, on the temple. Strike with elbow, back-knuckle fist or middle-knuckle fist. Potentially fatal point. Gall Bladder 20, behind the head on the bottom hollow part. Strike with hammer-fist, palm-heel and etc. Knockout point. Stomach 5, on lower jaw of the mouth. Strike with punch, palm-heel, hammer-fist or forearm. Knockout point. Governor Vessel 26, right below the nose. Strike with palm heel, knuckles and etc. Triple Warmer 17, behind the ear on the bottom hollow part. Strike with middle-knuckle fist or thumb."
Archimedes muttered to himself as he manned the front desk of his family's acupuncture clinic, re-affirming all the points that he had learned to strike in his pressure point training. It was later in the afternoon, and both of his parents had gone out for dinner, leaving Archimedes to man the clinic alone. Most people that came for the treatment usually had an appointment, so a lone person could man it if they were skilled enough. Which Archimedes was.
There had only been one appointment about two hours ago for the entire day, and Archimedes was bored out of his mind. He was going to be here, doing nothing, for another three hours if someone didn't come in for a walk-in appointment... but he doubted that would happen. His parents never advertised, relying on word of mouth and return customers for their business.
Archimedes sighed deeply again, resting his head on the book he had been reading.
"I might just close early if nobody shows up..."

Well somebody was gonna show. That was for sure..Enter the slightly distrubed and twisted girl.
Kevala had heard of this place, and though she was a little unsure about it, she needed to relax and had been told that this place could help with her stress. Stupid shrink! What did he know? Sighing softly as she moved to the door of the building.
She could turn around and leave. Just go on about her day like she had never even thought about this place. But a voice inside of her screamed to enter. Fine! Her hand pushing the door open to allow for that slender form to slip inside.
Icy blue eyes scanned the room, falling upon the man behind the desk. With a deep breath she moved forward. She was of course dressed in her usual, black tank top and faded denim jeans. Her pink backpack in tow..As was normal for her.
Reaching the counter she would strum her nails upon the counter lightly as she thought of what to say. Okay, so yeah, that was not hard. Kev always had something to say. Not always nice, but always something.Hey..Um..I was told that this could help with stress and sleep trouble..True?
Those eyes would watch this guy before her as she twitched her foot about on the floor. Nah! She was not a walking bundle of nerves. Nonsense! Those purple polished nails continuing to tap lightly. Now waiting on a reply.

Archimedes had actually begun to doze off when the light doorbell rang, signaling that someone had entered the small clinic. He rose his head up, blinking the drowsiness out of his eyes, exposing the bare upper torso that merely had a doctor's coat hung over his shoulders. He put a slight smile on his face, seeing the customer standing in front of the counter, strumming her fingers on the table-top.
"Why certainly. Acupuncture has been used for centuries for a multitude of medical purposes. If you would like to have a session, I would ask you to fill out this small form, so that I may determine exactly what type of acupuncture is needed."
Reaching under the counter, Archimedes grasped a small clip-board that held the survey on it. The survey asked questions such as what symptoms the subject was experiencing, how long the symptoms had been going on, and what the subject wished to get out of the acupuncture session. He grabbed a pen, giving it to the woman along with the clip-board.
"If you would please fill this out, I can go get the room ready. It is quite short, and should only take a few moments. I will be back soon."
Rising from his stool, he nodded to the woman, before walking out from behind the desk, showing that he was wearing a pair of jeans, and no shoes, before he made his way through the door to the back room, leaving the woman to the survey.
While in the back room, Archimedes checked the supply of moxibustion herbs, sterilized needles, and the small hammer that he used to insert the needles. Seeing that everything was in place, he went to the changing room, grabbing a towel, and a large, fluffy white robe. The entire process took about five to ten minutes, before he returned to the front area. He went to stand near wherever the woman was waiting, hopefully with a finished survey.

She listened as this guy spoke to her. Taking the clip board that was offered and watching him walk into the back room. Seriously? She was gonna go through with this? She supposed so. Shaking her head and then turning her attention to the papers she was to be filling out. Well symptoms was gonna be a fun section....
1. stress headaches
2. anxiety
3. unable to sleep
4. lack of appetite for food
5. trouble concentrating
6. desire to drink blood
Okay, she thought that was about all she was experiencing right now. Giving the paper a once over before signing her name to it. "Kevala Marie Astaku"
Setting the pen down atop the clipboard now she would set it down on the desk. Okay, now to wait. Looking about the room as she did this. A soft sigh passing from her lips as she once more began to tap her nails upon the counter. She would be glad when this was over, then she could go home. She needed a nap or a book..or something.

Seeing that the woman was finished, he handed her the robe and towel.
"If you would please head in to the back room and disrobe, put on the robe and placing the towel over your chest and torso, I will join you momentarily."
Archimedes would wait until the woman took the robe and towel and went to the back room, before turning and picking up the clipboard that she had set upon the front desk. Running his eyes down the list, he noted the more normal problems, before his eyes settled upon number six.
6. Desire to drink blood
Archimedes paused for a moment, the expression on his face unreadable. Slowly, a feral smile drew across his face. He spoke quietly to himself as he pulled out a large book of references that listed all the main ways to perform acupuncture.
"A desire to drink blood.... hmmm.... Perhaps a fellow sadist, in some ways? Or perhaps she is a masochist. Well, perhaps a... misplaced needle will show us which. Though, I will need to keep her from moving too much."
Archimedes ran his finger down the list of acupuncture points and found the one he was looking for. There were a set of points along the collarbone that if agitated in the correct way, would render the subject immobile. He gave another feral grin before snapping the book shut, and making his way to the back-room. It had been another ten minutes, so he assumed that the woman would be ready. Entering the soothingly lit room, he spoke just loud enough for Kevala to hear as he removed the doctor's coat, leaving his upper torso bare.
"Now, Miss Astaku, are you ready?"

She took the towel and robe and then nodding to him slightly she turned and headed to where she was directed. Slipping out of her clothes and moving to dress as told. Already hating being here. Yeah, this had so better work. The only thing keeping her mind clear was that if she did this, it would get the shrink to back off. Maybe then he would let her get by with only one visit a month. It was doubtful, but one never knew did they.
Laying down on the table, her black hair falling about her, she sighed softly, closing her eyes for a moment to allow the silence of the room to try and calm her nerves. Ugh!
Just then she heard the "doctor" or whatever he was called speaking to her. The sound of her last name causing her to shudder. Nobody called her that.
Kevala. Please..
Two simple words spoken as she waited now. Okay, so the way she saw it was she could get this done, go home, change and then go hunt down Katsuri. She was in need of some fun tonight. More than certain he would be able to provide such. Hell, right now she could settle for a drink. Or perhaps something a bit stronger? Hmm...now there was a thought. But then she was letting her mind ramble on right now. Trying to stay off of the topic at hand.

He rose an eyebrow at her asking him to call her Kevala. He shrugged his shoulders lightly, before wheeling over the tray of equipment. As he spoke, he did what he explained.
"Very well Kevala. If you like, you may call me Archimedes, or Dr. Cross. Though my parents would argue that I am not a doctor yet. However, eleven years of doing these things would allow one certain titles. Anyways, we will begin with some moxibustion. What this is is the smoldering of herbs upon your skin. It opens up your pores and allows the needles easier access into your skin."
Pulling down the towel some, to give himself better access to Kevala's collarbone, he poured out a small amount of oil onto his hands, and began rubbing it into her skin, directly along the collarbone. Once he had put the correct amount on, Archimedes gathered up the small mounds of herbs and placed them directly upon her skin.
"Now, this will be rather warm, but I would ask you not to move. If you need some sort of relaxer to help with this, I would be more than happy to insert some needles to help. They would be located here... here... and here."
All three locations were along the upper part of Kevala's shoulder, now marked with small amounts of moxibustion herb that had been left over on Archimede's fingers.

She laid there, her eyes looking up at the ceiling as she listened to him speaking. Taking note of what he said and shaking her head lightly. No, I am fine. Trust me. No need for anything to relax me.
She was not worried about anything hurting her persay...given the fact that she contantly was cutting herself or something of that nature. The bite mark on her neck clear that she was not the only one who liked to give her pain when needed.
Finally she would let those eyes fall over him, icy hues taking in his features for a moment before she looked up once more. More than a little uncomfortable with the whole touching thing. Once a month...once a month....once a month....She kept repeating this in her mind. It being the only thing that kept her on the table right now. This once a week shit with her therapist was getting to be a pain and if this would help. Why not? She could lay here and take the pain and the touching to save herself the aggrevation of therapy. Plus that, this guy was a professional and she did not have to worry about his hands getting a little carried away.
Besides, if they did, she could always get up and leave. Yeah, she was just being stupid and paranoid. But then she was crazy in the eyes of the psychological world...so yeah.

Archimedes rose an eyebrow as his amber eyes caught her icy blue ones, giving a small shrug as he set the needles off to the side.
"Very well."
Now, Archimedes moved off and picked up another towel, laying this one across Kevala's lower torso, covering her hips and crotch, before opening up the robe. Pouring out a bit more oil into his fingers, he rubbed the rest of it onto her stomach, before wiping off his fingers on the edge of the towel over her. Retrieving the rest of the moxibustion piles, he placed them on the correct areas on her stomach, before going and picking up the match he would use to light them. Striking the match, he quickly lit all the piles, blowing them out as soon as the flame appeared, allowing them to merely smolder. Shaking out the match, he tossed it into a trash can built into the table. Turning back to the equipment table, he began removing needles from the cleaning solution.
"Now, I feel I must ask, how did you come to find my family's clinic, if you don't mind telling me? I have memorized almost every single one of our regular customers and their families, and I don't remember either your last name or you specifically."

She would remain there, allowing him to do as he needed. Though she had to bite back a growl as he moved that towel over her and undid the robe. Oh yeah, she was so not going to therapy for a month. Not after all this. Taking a deep breath and sighing softly she would close her eyes. Perhaps that would help?
She would listen to him as he spoke and moved about. Taking his question into her mind and then speaking up softly.
My therapist sent me. Dr. Weston?
She was not sure he would recognize the name. But that was who had sent her. So here she was. Laying on a table, with only towels to cover her and smoke filling her nose. Fun fun. Another sigh would pass from her as she let her fingers play over the table under her. She waited now, knowing soon she would feel those needles, and actually looking forward to that part. And hoping in the end it would help her.

Archimedes nodded, recognizing the name as he began removing the moxibustion piles from Kevala's skin, tossing them into a small tub of water that immediately put them out.
"Why yes, Dr. Weston has been in a number of times. She says that she comes in to help deal with some of the stress that builds up with her job. I've performed the procedure on her a number of times myself. Now, please try to keep as still as possible while I insert the needles. It... would not be... pleasant if they were to cause you undue pain."
With that, Archimedes gave a cold smile, picking up the first needle, resting the first needle just above her solar plexus. He slowly inserted the needle, making sure to keep it straight up and down. Having set it correctly, Archimedes quickly moved onto the next needles, inserting them into Kevala's skin quickly and efficiently. As each needle entered her skin, there would be a slight twinge of pain as they broke the skin, before it would dull, allowing relaxation to spread across her body. It would start at the top of her head, slowly flowing down her body as nervousness and stress would seem to stream out of her body, leaving her limp and relaxed. He then picked up some specially treated needles, with the ends covered in moxibustion herbs. Archimedes inserted these carefully into points on her forehead, making sure to keep her raven hair out of the way. After inserting these, he lit the ends, carefully blowing them out to have them begin to smolder.
"Now, we will need to leave the needles in for about... fifteen minutes, before we move on to the next set of them. If you like, I can leave you here alone, or we can talk. Which would you prefer?"

She remained still, as hard as it was to do so. The pain she recieved from the needles very welcome but nothing compared to what she was used to. Sighing softly she let him do as he wished until she once more heard him speak.I guess you can stay in here. I mean, what is the harm in that?
Honestly, she saw no harm in it, and for now she was feeling a bit better. Perhaps this shit really did work. Heh. Who would have thought? Well, aside from the freaking shrink of course. Drawing in a deep breath she let her hands fall into a relaxed position beside her. Now waiting to see what he had to say. Surely it would be something interesting...or boring...either way...fifteen minutes was not too long to have to endure.

(OOC: Don't worry about it)
Archimedes gave another cold smile, off to the side of Kevala of course. It wouldn't do good to show the client that you really didn't give a damn about their opinions or problems. That was just bad business. He spoke again as he washed his hands in the small sink in the room.
"Well, one can never know. I have had clients in here that wished for me to leave so that they could enjoy the moxibustion. Some prefer to have some music playing. And then there are the ones that enjoy a good conversation while they're stuck full of needles."
Finishing up with his hands, he grabbed one of the clean towels and began drying his hands, making his way back to the table where Kevala was lying. Tossing the towel over his shoulder, Archimedes sat back on the stool, scooting it a bit closer to Kevala before speaking again.
"So... how'd Dr. Weston convince you to try out acupuncture? I wont lie, modern science is more oft than not prepared to dismiss it as a mere placebo effect, but I and my family disagree. There have been many years of testing in the Orient supporting it's use. Although, most people just scoff and say that all those years were merely non-scientific mumbo jumbo."
Archimedes gave a small shrugs, pulling an old, dented, but clean needle out of his pocket, placing it in his mouth and beginning to chew on it. The metal ticked against his teeth rather loudly in the quiet room, giving an almost metronome-like clicking to the curling of the moxibustion smoke.

She listened to him speak. She really did not care what he had to say, but she was being polite. The sound of something being chewed causing her to raise one eye open to look at him. Shaking her head slightly she would close her eye and sigh. She told me that if I came here then we may could cut back on the amount of sessions I have to go to.
With that she fell silent, the room seeming to be a relaxing place for her right now. Hell, this actually seemed to be working. Heh. None the less, she let her hands rest at her sides still, delicate fingers playing over the table where they could as she shifted her legs just a bit. Making sure not to move too much or to risk losing either towel. No, that would so not go over well. At least not in her book. She tried to think of how long it had been, but could not. She needed to get home soon, she knew that hunger would be rising, and she still needed to go and find Katsuri. Bah! How much longer did she have to wait. Growing a bit ansy as she laid there. But then it was common for people when restricted in movement for whatever reason to get that way.

He gave a cold grin off to the side as he heard her speak of practically being forced to come, if only to get rid of some of her therapy sessions.
Now how can I use this to my advantage... Archimedes thought to himself, chewing more slowly on the needle in his mouth. He heard her shift around, her anxiousness to get this over with obvious to his trained eye. Checking the clock, Archimedes could tell that they were almost done... with the first set of needles. Though... He looked back at the girl who had closed her eyes. Perhaps he could set up some more sessions, to get the rest of the acupuncture done? It would bring in more money...
Nodding to himself, Archimedes put away the needle he was chewing on and, using his fingers, put out the needles that were finishing up their smoldering. He chatted politely as he began removing the needles from Kevala's skin carefully.
"Yes, well... as much of a valued customer as Dr. Weston is, I must say that I really don't agree with therapy. People are how they are, and no psychobabble from someone who thinks they know you is going to change that. Now, as you were recommended here by Dr. Weston, we can say that this first session is free."
Having finished removing the needles, and placing them in the "Used" container, Archimedes rolled the equipment tray back to it's space along the wall.
"Now, if you'd like to set up another appointment, if you felt like this one helped... I could see you in say... two weeks? Mind you, this is completely voluntary. I wont expect you to come if you either don't believe that this helped, or if do not wish me to see you again. I will wait for you in the other room, to give you time to re-clothe."
Finishing his little speech, Archimedes left to go to the front room again, and turned on the monitor for the flat-screen Mac that his parents had bought for the clinic. He began typing in a meeting for Kevala two weeks from now. Finishing it up, he printed it off on a small sticker, so that she would have a reminder if she took it. If she didn't, there was no real harm done, and he could just delete the session out of the computer.
