Hmm not shabby. Not shabby at all. Lance thought as he looked around the main entrance area of #259. It was his first day and he had arrived a little late. A little being an understatment as he had arrived during the start of lunch. Well if it's anything like my last highschool they really wont give a damn He thought and decided to go ahead and walk to the cafeteria. After all there wasn't much else to do.
Lance payed attention to the room numbers as he walked by them, memorizing them as he want. His memory was nearly perfect. It was a rare occasion for him to forget something and if he did it wasn't ever important.
When he made it to the unch room he was greeted by a familiar sight. The room was virtually no different then the one at his last school. Mabey better taken care of. But otherwise not different. He go in line and grabbed his lunch. A simple sandwich and then headed out to the courtyard.
Once there he found a tree and walked over to it. He spottd a suitable branch and then jumped onto it. He sat down taking his hat off hanging it off a much smaller branch then proceeded to eat his sandwich and look around taking in the veiw. Well this place sure seems like it will be a hell of alot better than my old school. He thought as he ate.

"Yeah, whatever!"
Max commented carelessly, exiting the school through two double doors, not caring what the woman who had been following her all day said. Let's see... it was something about something. Who cares? She shrugged her shoulders casually as she made way across a few steps of grass, coming to a tree where she had planned earlier that day to spend her lunch on.
Her lunch, not being much. Let's see, a little sandwich -- white bread -- topped with pickles, mustard, tomatoes and cheese and then of course some cranberry juice. Not much of a large eater, Max extended her arms as high as can go above her head to one of the branches of a tree and struggled to get up onto it, unfortuneatley grabbing onto something else aside from thick, rotten wood-
A foot. Dropping down immediatley, Max backed up a bit, shook her head, held the small brown bag that contained her lunch in one hand and blinked a few several times as her eyes then fell upon the figure sitting upon the tree. Just my luck... She thought grimly, not in the mood to be arguing with anyone at the moment over a dumb tree, though it was where she had made arrangements for herself to spend her lunch first!
" 'Cuse me," She spoke up to the blonde kid, "Do you think you can make room for me up there?"

Feeling a tug Lance looked down and saw a girl. Roughyl his age, mabey a bit older than him. He noticed she was rather pretty. Somethign most girls he met were. But she seemed to have somethign else to her. He didn't bother worrying about it as she spoke to him asking for a spot on the branch. "Sure." He said with a shrug and sat up striat so now tha both legs were hanginh and there was now plenty of room for the girl.
He waited until she was up to speak again. "Name's Lance. Nice to meet someone who shares a similar seating preference. And you are?" He asked holding out his hand in greeting.
