"Maybe he's here."
Why are you here, Zea? Patrick left. You were never anything really, it was a rockidy relationship, it wasn't stable. He left because he needed a break, and you're not even sure he came to Long Beach, or enrolled in this school. So why? Why, Zea? Why do you punish yourself so?"[/i]
The properly maintained hands of the woman, of which was way beyond the obvious too old to be going to a high school, folded inside each other and the dark-haired girl halted in front of the building with a train of hesitation churning highly in her head. She wore a pair of flat-heel shoes, black, and a large coat that ended above her knees covering a good portion of the dark blue jeans she wore around her legs.
For a second she stood there, just standing still, but finally took a step forward. Withdrawing her upper lip from the lower which left some small bits of foamy white pearls, the dark-haired girl entered the school and scanned the corridor. She looked about for a bit, trying to spot the spiked red hairdo of her boyfriend but her efforts were in vain, there were a few many kids running through the hall yet none of them was Patrick. And even if one of them happened to be, it would be like searching for a needle in a haystack, except in this case it was a redhaired bloke in a great many blokes.
And there's ought to be over a dozen more schools in the city if he's not here... I'll never get around to looking through them all. Oh, Patrick...

((ooc: Hmm, I'll try to find a way to fit this into my storyline...>.> lol))
Chihiro Amuri was on her way to Math class. Hoooorah. Not. A small frown was etched in the girls delicate features, though this was nothing new, at least as of late. Not much made her smile anymore, with exception to one brown haired boy, but she hadn't seen much of him since...well...she didn't want to think about it. Not even going to get drunk could make her forget the humiliation, the torment, how could she break it to him? One look at her and he would know something was wrong. But she couldn't tell him...she didn't want to make him suffer for something she'd gotten herself into. She'd ditched the miniskirt for a vintage pair of jeans with decorative accents on the pockets and partway down the right leg and a black tanktop and fluffy white scarf coiled once loosely around her neck. Her black and white converses scuffed carelessly against the floor as she walked, even her walk had lost a bit of bounce. But no one seemed to notice, that was the glory of Americans, so oblivious and uncaring. It let someone go by unnoticed. Unless it was, they seemed to be looking for someone...
Chocolate hues flashed curiously as they caught sight of a young dakr ahired woman...she looked too old to be a student here, and she looked a bit lost. Now, Chi didn't really think she should offer her assistance (remember the American uncaring thing?), but she felt kind of bad for the woman, she looked a bit worried.
"Lookin' for somebody?"
She asked nice enough as she approached, though still in that younger person inquiring to an older person sort of way.

Saved! Oh, maybe it's the school's principal! Or maybe it's one of the teachers here, or one of the staff, or maybe--
It just might be some fifteen year old trying to look ... uh ... cool? Explained the little voice that so often gave the young lady advice, displeasure, pain and it though it was unheard to everyone else in the world it was a mark on herself. And it wasn't just her, and she wasn't just crazy, arguing with herself in the mind back and forth, but it was a whole new different person altogether. And sadly, it was right. Zea almost felt like crying when she turned to the source of the voice, it happened to be a student, young, pretty, carefree -- or so she assumed, sticking to the stereotype of all high school students: carefree, juvenile, party-goers who never got good grades.
Zea was never one of those people, she always did well when she went to High School in San Diego, got good grades, and hardly stayed up past ten o'clock to do anything except study. Studying was exceptional at the time. She sighed, nibbling childishly on her bottom lip and breathed slowly as she gave a slight nod of her head. "Mmm, I am," She said softly, balling her fists and then just letting her arms dance wryly by her hips. "...Do you know a... does anyone by the name of Patrick happen to attend this school? Would you know?" Zea asked, stepping a tad bit closer, a meekly expressed bit of hope was warm in her voice as she stared dependently at the younger woman.
Oh please, say yes...say yes...

Patrick? The name didn't sound familiar at all, but the look on the woman's face kind of made her feel a bit guilty. She let a small sympathetic smile cross her face almost like a shadow before speaking again.
"No, sorry...but what does he look like? Maybe I've seen him around."
Why was she looking for this patrick kid? Was he her brother or something? The look on her face was more of a 'parent lost a little kid at the playground' kind of look than a looking for a brother. It wasn't really her business, but it still piqued her curiosity.

"Oh, I ... " The red hair combed into a punky, spiked fashion and overdone with a horrible scented gel was an image stimulated in Zea's head, it was painful to think of him and know that he was gone. She squeezed a ball of air with her left fist and sighed, looking over at the girl and then wondering whether she should've bothered her with her problems or not, selfish desperation made her not give it second thought though,
"Red hair. tall, strong features... afterschool job, you know, the works," She said dryly, thinking more and more about Patrick and stand out things about him, there wasn't much to say though. "He's my ... " It'd probably be too strong, to say he was her lover. Teenagers, they probably wouldn't even understand Zea, and though she was one herself just a small amount of time ago she didn't think that she understood what love was back then even so, her gaze drooped to the floor and she exaled. "friend. A very good friend, and I'm looking for him, he means a lot to me..."
She said without looking at the girl, she didn't have to, she was explaining herself and that was what mattered. What counted.

"Red hair. tall, strong features... afterschool job, you know, the works, He's my...friend. A very good friend, and I'm looking for him, he means a lot to me..."
Chi started for a second, that description sounded a lot like...a conversation from a few nights ago flashed through her mind, a boy with two personalities, two faces, one red haired and one brown...could she be talking about him? Her heart lurched for a second, and she clutched her books to her chest, and coughing slightly.
"Levi?"
She paused for a second, gathering her wits before continuing.
"Uhm...I mean, I know of a tall red haired boy, but his name isn't Patrick."
She looked at the young woman with wider eyes than before. There was no way, she had given a general description of the boy she was looking for, there were a lot of red haired boys out there, and hopefully the one she was looking for didn't happen to be the alternate personality of the boy she now loved. Now, truth be told, Chi was a little jumpy for more than one reason, both of which she wasn't too open to discussing with just anyone, but the fact that Aureus had two personalities within him she found hard to understand. How could they look different? What else was happening in Levi's life that was affecting Aureus'? Could it jeopardize their relationship? Who was this girl looking for? It probably has nothing to do with you or your schizophrenic boyfriend, the stubborn voice of reason told her, but with her nerves frazzled as they were, she couldn't help but wonder all the same.

Zea swallowed something: hope.
Oh well, she certainly doesn't know what we're talking about so, to the next contestant?[/i] The dark-haired girl shook her head, she had certainly never heard the name Levi before ... except maybe on some jean commericals, or something, but never had she met anyone named Levi or in any case ever loved anyone with that name. She whimpered a no and then a little sad look came upon her face,
"I see..." she said quietly, "I guess we don't have the same guy then, I've never met anyone named Levi before in my whole life! I wish I had a last name, but..." She stopped, but what? She had nothing to say about why she didn't know the last name of the runaway boyfriend, no excuses on why they hadn't exchanged them, er, well, he knew her's was Cruise but they never got around to talking about his own: she hadn't asked him, too busy dwelling and relaxing and growing in his arms, it was her own fault, she didn't have a reason for why she never asked him for his last name and she didn't have a reason for why she was looking for him as if he was her child.
All she knew was that she was, "So no ... no Patrick, eh? Well that's ... I'm Zea, " she said, attempting a few steps closer, on to the next best thing about a conversation. Introductions. At least it'd spare her explaining anymore about Patrick. At least...

Relief, it was pure relief that washed over the junior when the young woman said she'd never heard of Levi. The feeling was then replaced by sympathy at her saddness for not finding him. She must really care for this Patrick guy, whoever he was. Anyway, she blinked as the woman introduced herself as Zea. It was a nice name, simple yet elegant, like her own. She gave Zea a small smile before extending her right hand toward her politely.
"Nice to meet you, Zea, I'm Chi."

"Nice to meet you..."
Zea smiled at the girl, Chi is a nice name I guess. Simplicity and- Chi? HAHA! That like soo totally sounds like pee, hehe, hooha! HOOOOOHA![/i] The dark-haired girl drooped her head down a little bit, touched it, sometimes it was hard coping with her other half but she tried hard to make it work. They didn't agree on many things and weren't always in positive moods toward each other, so most the time Zea tried to ignore Une, it was difficult though and she had many sudden, second-long headaches.
She lifted her head back up and shook Chi's hand, all of a sudden it made her feel ... wrinkled. Being called miss, people acting fancy saying things like 'Nice to meet you' and offering handshakes... couldn't she just be a kid too? That would be nice. Maybe if she was a teen Patrick wouldn't have left? Maybe...
"So, um, if this is your school ... should, should you be getting to class? I really don't mean to hold you up. I just wish to find Patrick, I think the principal might be able to hand me a list of the students here and then maybe I'll be able to ... look at every one ... and ... " Have no luck. For the love of peace, may we just go? Shut up! Zea screamed to the voice, cutting it off. Please...

The dark haired junior looked at the books in her hand, as if remembering.
"Oh, yeah...math..."
She said with a bit of distain. She didn't like math class to any degree, and wasn't that eager to get to class.
"Well, um, I hope you find that Patrick person.."
She said with a smile, noddig her head to the young woman, Zea.

I don't know. She doesn't seemed excited to be going to class. Zea thought to herself, noticing how differently Chi reacted to her comment about getting to class from when they were just talking about Patrick. Maybe she just doesn't like math. She figured.
Or maybe she hates school and was hoping to grab some ice cream with you and have some, you know, girl talk![/i] Une suggested. About what? She's obviously younger then me, and I'm looking for someone, actually, I'm not looking for someone! I'm looking for Patrick! And besides, it's best that she gets to class or there'll be a whole lot of trouble on her end, her parents might even shout. Get caught by her parents? Shouting? That stuff is so way back when, I mean, only losers like you have that kind of stuff happen to yourselves. Have you no inner-child in you, Zea?[/i] Well, yeah... I do have you. Uh, yeah. Well, that does count as something, but, anyway-! We should be partying, forgetting about one guy, he isn't exactly irreplaceable! Invite her to a slumber party![/i] Une, I just met the girl... and slumber parties are for six year olds. Plus she's a child, she should be in class, I'll say goodbye now. Boooooo! I am going to curse you for seven weeks straight if you do not just TALK! Hey, why don't you just keep your nose out of my business? I don't have to listen to you anyway, this is my social life. Yeah, well, maybe. But your social life is a little booring! I'm going to talk. Don't you dare! I'm going to. No! Yes![/i]
"Hey, Chi! How about you forget about class and that stupid thing I was talking about, you know, doing the principal. I mean, doing that thing with the principal, not actually doing. Heh, because, yeah, I bet he's... hairy. Ugh, err -- I'll buy you a soda! You know they do say that nothing refreshes you like ... uhm ... pop. So, how about it? Maybe you'll be able to recognize that lousy guy Patrick too while you're at it! -- Oh wait, sorry, doing such a thing probably isn't as important as your boring class, right? And math! Eeew, the numbers and the stupid lines and columns and all, sheesh. They really just get to your head don't they? So aggravating, but then again, you do have to go so... my offer was a little random and dumb, and actually, I insist that you just go ahead and we'll probably meet after school! -- I mean, after you're done school, since I don't have school anymore! Maybe I'll try out for college, but oh wait, I'd have to deal with numbers... how icky ..." Noooo!
"I mean, no, I mean ... uh ... yes, math is terrific. You can go ahead, okay, Chi? I'll go look over stuff with the principal which is oh, so fun and! And ..." When Zea had control over her own body again, the schizo had a long face. So...embarassing. Gotta make a big dummy of yourself once in your lifetime if you wanna have fun, right?[/i] ...Were you a blonde in your last life? -- I mean, in the last life that you completely ruined for someone else! Hmm ... say, I don't really remember. Probably was a redhead.[/i] Une, I don't drink pop, and I sure the heck don't take girls out for drinks unless we're like ... buds! She might think I'm a lesbian! Come on, Zea, she won't think that. She's smart and tall and ... wanted to go do math, heeeyuck![/i] Oh shut up!

The junior quirked an eyebrow at the short young woman, she seemed to be giving her mixed messages. It kind of gave her a Jekyl and Hyde feeling, but she dismissed it, maybe it was just the stress from her lost friend. She had a point though, math was stupid, and even more so since she had more or less lost her ability to concentrate because of..she shook her head vigorously to ger rid of the memory. It haunted her at night, and in her waking hours. She needed an escape, and this young woman seemed to be offering quite an interesting one.
"You know what? Alright then, let's get out of here, but do you mind if I stop by my locker first?"
