Aftermath (Leon/Spike)

It had been two days since she had woken up to find that letter upon the bed. The one that told her, in no uncertain terms that Katsuri was gone and was not coming back. He had left her the house and everything in it. Said he loved her but that he would probably never come back. She was destroyed. Broken. Nothing.

The only thing that kept her going was the fact that she had the twins. Aiden and Kazumi. She had to stay well enough to care for them. Even though she was dying inside. Her heart broken to the point she did not think anyone could ever fix it.

She had yet to leave the house. But already the rumors were spreading about what had happened. She was not surprised. The help of the house had a habit of gossipping over what they heard. It did not take long for most of the area to know that Katsuri Katashi had up and abandoned his girlfriend and their two children.

Today, she was seated in the living room. Lost in thought about what she would do with ther life. She had no clue. She was unsure how to protect her children sufficiently. Even though she would surrender her life to save their own. But she had always had Katsu to protect her. Now, all she could rely on was Gabriel. And she did not know if he could be trusted.

The silence of the house setting in and seeping into her mind. She had nobody to turn to. Nobody to talk to who would care that her world was shattered. Or at least, that was what it felt like right now.

Welp, this was kinda odd. Surprise visit from someone you met one time? Sure. Bringing said persons son along for the ride? Maybe strange. Both said person and son injurred? Maybe there is something alittle off with this family. Anyways Leon would knock on the door of the big building he stared at for a moment, giving off a small whistle. Leon had his knees in braces, his right arm in bandages and a sling to hold it up. Spike had stitches in his forehead, and a scratch on his left cheek. His right arm was bandaged to the elbow a talisman hanging from the bracelet in japanese that read "Forbidden".

He was in far better shape than Leon, but he didnt fight such harsh battles. Not yet anyways. Leon had heard what happened and felt it only appropriate he pay a visit and see how things where going. Not to mention Leon was a teacher at 259, and it was better to check on the students well being. He also was trying to get her excused for a little while so she could recoop.

To the sound of somebody at the door she whimpered. She did not wish to speak to anyone. But, she knew that she could not continue to stay hidden away here forever.

Standing up, her body dressed in an oversized white t-shirt and a pair of black shorts which showed off her pert little rear. She would move to open the door. Her brown hair falling about her face as icy hues. Still slightly red from crying. Would fall upon the two who stood there.

One she recognized, the other she did not.

"L..Leon? What are you doing here? I mean....I am sorry, I was just not expecting to see you."

She would lower her head slightly. She was not trying to be mean or anything. But she had really never thought to see the guy again.

Stepping to the side she would hold her arm out, offering entrance if they woudl so take it.

"Please..come in. I am so sorry. I have not been myself lately. But...if you are looking for...K.Katsuri. He is not here."

If they entered she would take the lead and head into the living area. Casting a glance over her shoulder here and there to make sure that they were both still with her.

Once there, she took up her seat upon the couch.

"Please...sit....is there anything I could grt you?"

Spike watched as a female answered the door. Meh, she didn't seem to be in a good mood today, why'd his dad have to be such a douche. Anyways as she moved to allow them entry after her initial surprise giving Leon almost no time to talk he would nod and enter. She said someone wasn't here, but from what Leon gathered they wheren't here to see some guy. It was likely to visit her.

When she asked is she could get them anything Spike spoke quickly only because he was alittle in the... Off manner. Raised by Leon it was only a wonder he was still breathing.

"Water."

Which would get a quick slap in the back of the head from Leon. Spike would make a noise of rebuttle to the smack, but then look back at the person who invited them in.

"Please."

Leon would be the next to speak up.

"Well tot ell the truth Kevala, we came to see how you where doing. I figured you would be upset and came to see how things where going. I'd like to introduce you to my son. This is Spike."

Spike would give a small wave before returning to his normal position. Leon and Spike both found a comfy seat and make themselves at peace.

She watched as the two entered and then took a seat. She would listen as each of them spoke. The son wanting something to drink and getting smacked in the had for lack of manners. Leon here to make sure she was doing fine.

"I am doing as well as can be expected. It is hard, what with the twins and all."

She would then shake her head, trying not to let the memory of Katsuri come back to bite her in the ass. No, not again.

"Let me get that water."

A soft smile offered to them both as she turned and headed out of the living room and down the hall to the kitchen. Soon enough she returned with two glasses of water. Why? Cause she felt wrong getting one something and not the other.

Setting them down on the coffe table before them she would then move to take a seat in the chair opposite where they sat. Eyes going over first the Father and then the son.

"I do appreciate you both coming by. I know that Katsuri was a friend of yours. I wish that I could say why he left, or where he is...."

She trailed off. Drawing in a deep breath as she curled her legs up into the chair with her. Her long brown hair falling about her face softly as those icy hues stayed upon them.

Leon would take the glass with a warm smile, Spike's face was unmoving, but after a good slap in the back of the head Spike would speak up again.

"Thank you."

Then Leon would react to what she would of said about him dissapearing, but from what they talked about last time... Leon would of made a similer move... He could make a few guesses as to why, or where, but he was sure that would be the wrong thing to say.

"Well I could make some guesses as to why, but if you ever need a break from the twins Spike can babysit."

"What?"

Spike would say looking at his dad, which in turn would of got another slap in the back of th ehead where Spike would say.

"I mean, yeah. I could watch em whenever."

Spike would take a few gulps of water before sighing and leaning back. Leon would laugh, Spike would get a half smile about the situation. IT was just how they got along, it usually ended in a fight, but it was the way they showed affection for each other.

"If you ever need a calm place to relax, I own a cafe called The Peace Cafe. It's a really nice place."

Perhaps it was the mood she had found herself in for the last few days. Or perhaps she really was that crazy. But as she watched the two of them she could not help but laugh slightly. Her small hand coming up to her mouth to muffle the sound as she shook her head.

"I..I am sorry. "

Drawing in a deep breath to settle herself as she let those eyes fall upon the two of them.

"Well, it would be nice to have somebody to watch the twins besides that beast of a nanny I was forced to hire. I swear that woman ate Katsuri.That is why he is gone...."

Shaking her head. She really did not like the woman. But what could you do?


"As for the cafe. It does sound nice. Perhaps I shall consider checking it out. I know that I need to get out of this house. Away from the things that remind me of him.

I appreciate the offer."

It was then that her mind would settle upon Leon's first statement. One she had noted but had put off til now.

"You said you could venture a guess as to why he left? Could you please tell me what you think? I...I am out of answert at this point. "

She bit down upon her lower lip, her hands those short shots she wore and trying to pull them down though there was no use in it. Just a simple nervous gesture.

Spike would laugh at the comment of the nanny, apparently she must be one scary goblin, but leon kept a normal smile on his face. He'd have to let her know where the cafe is sometime, or Spike could tell her when it came up or what not.

Then she brought up his mentioning of guessing why. He wasn't sure if it would put her at ease or not...

"Well... From what I know, his family was out to kill him, Arthur was out to kill him, and they where using you already to try it... So the only reasonable thing to do was to dissappear for a while until he could deal with the problems himself... He's probably training really hard right now in order to either destroy or take over the Katashi Clan. The Sudeki clan and the Katashi have never really seen eye to eye, but we have a truce with a few of them like Katsuri and his younger brother. Katsuri also knows I'm dealing with Arthur and that you'd be safe since most of the Sudeki clan is in California. He'll be back."

~He just doesn't know if he will be able to take down that old man... He was so strong...~

Leon had his own little run ins with a few Katashi Clansmen, they where all rediculously powerful, Katsuri was good, but compairatively he had a ways to go to catch some of them, and fighting them all out would be foolish. Leon knew tactically this was better, it kept his children and his woman safe and he could go all out with no regrets. It was a Warriors journey, and Leon respected it greatly.

"My son would do well to learn the lesson Katsuri is showing. A warrior can't go all out if he is worried about those around him. I'm sorry if that sounds cold Kevala, I just... Have alot of respect for the man."

She listened and would give a soft nod. Her hands settling upon her thighs as she drew in a deep breath.

"Yes, I have thought of that option as well. I understand it and do not find your words cold or hurtful in any way. It is just that he could have handled the whole thing a bit better in my opinion. But he is a man. So I suppose I cannot expect too much."

She cast a glance at the two. A smile tugging at her lips as she shrugged softly.

"No offense, but your gender has not exactly given me reason to think otherwise. "

She laughed softly. Shaking her head and reaching up to tuck a bit of hair back behind her ear. Clearing her thoughts and just trying to think about the current situation. Not the past.

"So, is there anything else I can get for you? I fear I dont know what to do with myself now that he is gone. I was always so busy with him, and now, not so much. Heh"

[Krane Asiv]

"Well I actually have to teach a class in thirty minutes, so I'm gonna head out."

Spike looked over at his dad who had that look on his face again, like he knew something.

Spike would stay silent for a few minutes thinking on what was going on. This chick was close to his age. It would seem she was still in high school too. Eh, maybe he could make friends.

"I guess I'll hang out for a while..."

Spike was silent after that. Now he may not look it, but compaired to Leon, Spike was lazy. He trained and like challanges when it came to fighting, but he'd much rather hang out and play video games... Or games. Either way.

"So where are the munchkins at?"

Spike said referring tot he babies. He though't he'd go see em, since he mite be baby sitting.

She would nod as Leon made his leave. Offering her thanks of course for coming by and what not. Then her attention shifted to Spike.

"They are in their rooms. If you want I can show you where that is. If you dont mind going into my section of the house."

She had her own suite of course. Complete with living area and kitchen. It had been Katsuri's idea when she had gotten farther along in her pregnancy.

Standing up she would move to the doorway. Turning back to smile at him as she tilted her head lightly.

"I am also sure I can find something else up there to entertain you."

She grinned before turning and heading up the stairs. Glancing back once or twice to make sure he followed.

The door to her suite was open. Having not bothered to lock it since the twins were asleep. Stepping inside she would wait now. Her eyes scanning over the area as she thought about all the stuff she needed to get done up here. Currently she was standing in the living room area of her suite. Though it was more or less what appeared to be a man cave of sorts. Big screen television, probably every known gaming system known to man and games out the ass. Yeah. She had ALOT of time on her hands when she was not able to go and do stuff. Katsuri had made sure she was entertained.

Sighing softly she would now wait on him before she would continue on any further.

Spike nodded, he'd follow her where she went, keeping that usual stoic look about his face. reaching the steps he would make eye contact everytime she would look back, he wondered why she kept looking back, but didn't give it much thought. Until of course.


The man cave...

Spike was not one to show alot of emotion without a really good reason, but the tv... The game systems... The games... He would run over sliding to a stop completely in awe of the selection... His mouth hung half open as he could no longer form a correct sentence. Except for two words.

"Holy shit."

She could not help but laugh lighty as she moved to stand next to him.

"Yes, I got bored and to save himself from my wrath, Katsu bought me all of this. Now I fear it is an addiction.

She nodded and would then raise her brow at him, her shoulder nudging into him slightly as she grinned.

"You okay there? I mean, not gonna have a heart attack and die on me right? Not sure I need your dad on my ass like that right now."

A soft laugh and she would move to sit down on one of the couches held within the room. The one directly in front of the television.

"You know..We can play if you want. Though I warn you. I can have serious competition issues."

Spike was still slightly speechless, though breaking his trance he would look to Kevala who explained why the stuff was there. Spike and his dad had money, but not like this, well not in the way they would use it anyways. Dear god now he wanted to.

Then she asked the question...

Would he like to play?! For real?

Spike would skid to a stop at the couch and pretty much plop down.

"You joking? Lets do this."

Spike was all about video game time. And video game time, was right now.

She would laugh softly as he plopped down onto the couch. She herself would kick off her shoes and open up the drawer next to the couch. Grabbing out the tv remote and the remote and then hopping up to punch the power button on her xbox.

As she sat back down she hit the power for the tv. The surround sound kicking in as she reached back around the couch and pulled out two remotes. Tossing him one as the game started.

Game?

Halo 3...

Settling back into the couch she would reach to the side, grabbing a hair tie from the end table and tying her hair back into a loose ponytail.

"You sure you are ready to have your ass kicked by a girl?"

She would cast a teasing glance to him as she nudged his arm with her own. Her attention shifting back as the sounds of the game started up.
