ok so i need some advice guys.
Me and my buddies are going to make a horror film.
Now, this will be low budget, made with handheld cameras. It will have a cloverfieldish look to it, with a better storyline and some interesting, creatively frightening moments.
Now, i need help on what i want to make the video.
We have come down to two options.
A full length, one hour to an hour and a half feature film for youtube OR
A thirty minute to 45 minute long interactive film, where you choose what happens to the victims. YOU play the part of the terror overwhelming them. OR you play the part of the victims, telling them where to go, what to do, etc.
What do you think?

Go for the hour long one because it will help you develop your abilities as a film maker and ensure you include one sex scene as this is indeed a teen horror flick however you slice it.

The teenage sex scene is only typical to slasher films. True horror movies do not need the sex....

Anyways....I would go with the hour/ hour and half film. Not only to help you to better develope your skills as a film maker and what not, but also it allows you to see how much people will react to your type of horror film before you put forth all the effort for an interactive one.

Not to mention the longer the movie the more horror you can cram in.

Yeah, I'd have to say do the long one too. See how people are gonna react, what the like and don't ect., then do the interactive one if you still want. Cause we all know interactive is cooler.

Alright everyone with a youtube account! Subscribe to my channel, dontooba1, and leave me some comments and suggestions! I'll be putting out a promo on nov 24 and you can tell me what you think, whether its scary, dumb, or has possibilities.
Until then i'll be putting in updates on my life and what we're doing, as well as bloopers from the filming process. Parts one and two will go up before christmas, so keep up on my channel!
Dontooba1 is my personal blog where i post stuff and where i'll post bloopers, dontooba7 is where i will be posting my actual movies, which will be put on later. I'm working on getting that channel up and running, but if you want to subscribe to it as well its up to you.
Anyway, thanks to the people who responded and im still up for suggestions! PM me with them, what you think would be terrifying and why, or you can post it in here.

Post them on my page, or send them to my youtube account after subscribing! That way i get the feel and the publicity, since activity on a page makes people see it. If i can get a lot of viewers, i'll come out with a lot more stuff in the future! thanks!

So, its been decided that a non-interactive film will be best. I got a few messages on here about it, and i got about 10 messages on youtube stating that a non-interactive would probably be best to start with.
Now, on november 24th, a trailer for this movie will be coming out. I have finished with the production and making of this trailer, we just have some editing to do and the ilk.
If this gets big, i'll be making some cool new vids, some more horror and comedy sketches and movies.
Considering the contact i have had with Youtube staff regarding this, if i can get 30,000 subscibers, they'll help produce and promote my video, and pay me an amount i wont disclose to continue making films of this nature.
With this, i might come find some of you guys, and see about putting you in one of my films.
