It was something alright. The best that the voices inside Kevala's head could come up with.
It appeared that Aiden and Kazumi had come down with a cold. Both of them running fever and both of them with runny noses and pitching a fit you would not believe. She hd left the nanny in charge long enough to go downstairs into the silence to call the doctor. Only to have him say that he was out of town.
Great!
What was she supposed to do?!
It took her a moment but she finally found the answer in scrolling through her phonebook.
Emily.
She was a nurse right? Well perhaps she could assist her in this matter and prevent her from having to take the twins out of the house to get medical attention.
Punching out a text....
She would then hit send and wait. Perhaps she would get a reply perhaps not. But she would wait just the same.
Heading back upstairs to once more take over with the twins.

"You ready?" A brown-haired nurse said, as she revved up a Blue volkswagen beetle. It was interesting how a high-school student like Emily would own such a vehicle without even having a license to drive herself. Though, Franz understood that Emily was the kind of person who barely had time to do a driving test..
... not to mention the last time Emily drove, they almost hit another car. Thank God for her quick reflexes. "Jeez, you'd think you'd think you'd come in as soon as I said we're ready to go home."
"Gimme a moment." Emily said, fiddling with her phone as she leaned against the door she was supposed to enter. "I got a text from a friend."
"... Oh?" Franz said, "... Who? Mister tall, white and German?"
"An old Client."
Emily would sigh and knock on the door, making the girl open the window a little more. Her hand slipped inside, showing the phone's message.
"Mind taking me there, Franz?" She said, "You can take the car home. This isn't so far from my house."
Franz sighed. "Oh, you're such a spoiled brat; just like the Queen you are." She teased. "Hop in, I'll join in for the ride. That's the twins case, right?"
"Yeah."
"I suggest calling Doc Clavering too." She said, "The kids might need prescriptions. Neither of us can, yanno."
Emily nodded and promptly began to text a reply as she opened her door to have a seat. Ah... what to say...?
"Let's go." She said, pulling her nurse cap from her head, letting her silver-white hair free as the car began to run up the parking area of the hospital.
Emily would arrive at the said address around half an hour later, looking around. Yeah, interesting home. Franz would go ahead and press the doorbell for the girl, who was obviously too busy observing the place.
Just great, right?

Kevala heard the doorbell, and with Kazumi screaming in her arms she would head down the stairs. She felt like shit herself, but she was keeping it under control. The twins her first priority.
She had received the message, but had been too busy to reply. She would not mind the Doctor coming. It was more than likely needed. But she would have to wait and tell Emily when she got here. Which hopefully this was her now.
Opening the door she let out a relieved sigh, seeing Emily there.
"Thank you so much for coming. They are both in a very bad mood and running fever. 99.8 for Kazumi, 100.1 for Aiden. As for your text. Yes, if you think a doctor is needed then by all means."
Moving to allow them into the house she would bounce Kazu lightly, trying to sooth the very cranky and very upset little girl. Placing a soft kiss to the childs forehead and whispering softly.
"Shhh...it is alright. Mommy's gonna make it better."
The baby girl soothing slightly.

Emily flinched a bit as she heard some rather shrill cries of small children begging for attention. A part of her became slightly scared while another part of her more or less felt something else...
She pulled herself out of those thoughts in time for when Kevala opened the door. The woman had a baby in her arms, who was of course, bawling. "Thank you so much for coming. They are both in a very bad mood and running fever. 99.8 for Kazumi, 100.1 for Aiden. As for your text. Yes, if you think a doctor is needed then by all means."
99.8 Fahrenheit? That's about 37.6...
--- and 100.1 is 37.8 Celsius. The babies were mildly febrile.
Emily had an idea of what the babies might have, though she more or less found herself just wanting to check. She watched as Kevala kissed the baby, Emily tilting her head to the side.
... a part of her lit up.
"Shhh...it is alright. Mommy's gonna make it better."
...
"Em?"
...and thoughts that she may or may not regret later...
"EM!"
Emily slipped back into reality. She had been daydreaming; standing and blocking the way. "S-sorry." Emily said, apologizing as she got inside, following after Kevala. Emily would put on the stethoscope into her ears and warm up the bell.
"May I?" She said. If Kevala allowed her, Emily would put the earpieces on and start listening to the breathing sounds of the young child. "If I'm right, they might not need meds. Have they been vaccinated yet?"
