Okay so the voice in her head which told her what to do, that divine hand which led her about through life, had been a lazy ass lately she would be a bit slow in getting her ass in gear. But it did not take her too long to make her way over to a spot where she could sit and start trying to come up with some type of idea. It was something that needed to be catchy and basic. It needed also to carry the name of the design company of course. So yeah.
Yeah she had a lot to think over. So, here she would sit, her bag being drawn to her side as she started to dig through it. Initially she would take out only a sketch pad and some markers and a pencil.
She had a lot of work to get done. So, she would lean back in her chair, setting everything she needed on the table before her and getting to work.
Her first sketch was a bit off. Something about it not settling with her, and given her slight manner of OCD (shared by the divine voice in her head ) she would growl softly and rip the paper from its position upon the pad. Wadding it up and throwing it to the side.
Next one.....
Better but still not as good as it could have been...So it too went into the trash. Gods! Why did she have to be such a perfectionist all the damn time?
She would again growl at herself. What was wrong with her? Then it dawned on her. She was able to hear all that was going on around her and she really needed to be able to think. So, placing everything back on the table, she would again start to sift through her bag, grumbling lightly to herself.
FINALLY!!!
VICTORY!!!
Pulling out her black MP3 player and placing the pink earphones in her ears, she would turn it on, letting the sounds of her fave songs drown out the world around her. It was not her trying to be rude. And yeah there was music playing already. But she was funny that way. She had to be off in her own little world or else she would be unable to clearly think.
A content little sigh passing from her lips as she did such. At this point if anyone spoke to her they would not be able to get through the blaring of her music.
What?
She thought better this way! Dont judge!
She would then close her eyes, letting her mind wander about as she tried her hardest to actually come up with some form of design. Letting the tunes she now jammed out to seep into the darkness of her mind and bring forth every possible little detail of imagination she had.
Come on!
She was an artist for gods sake. She was supposed to be strange.
Wait?
Artist? Her photographs.....
A few of them held some interesting concepts as far as a shoe design would go. So, she started there.
Another trip to her bag would produce her portfolio, dragging it out onto the table and then slowly starting to flip through the pages. Finding each and every last one that held something she thought she could use and then making note of it on her sketch pad.
Finally, once the last photo had been scanned over, she would close the portfolio an set it aside. Now looking over the notes she had made.
Okay, so this was a start, but now to organize them into some form of actual idea. This could be tricky. Nobody said she was the worlds best designer nor did they say she had to be. But she felt that it was needed and expected of her, soooooooo yeah.
Finally something would come to her. A design that if she drew it out right would look pretty awesome she thought. So, she began to work on it. Taking he time to draw in first the outline of the sketch and then the inner workings.
Working until she had a fully detailed sketch of the shoe complete with the logo design she had in mind. She would then look it over. Giving herself a mental pat on the back for the job well done. Or at least she thought so.
So what was next? Well she needed to make it look a bit more...realistic she supposed. Besides, a drawing would never do it well.
Back to the bag!!!
And this time she pulled out her laptop. Yes, she had a little one that was perfect for her bag which she carried everywhere. Opening it up she would get to work on the actual design she had in mind.
It did not take her long, well at least in her mind it didnt. No telling how long it actually took her to get it done. But once it was, she was rather pleased with it. To her it really said
Crimson Sky to her. But then that was just her opinion. Heh
Now was simply the matter of printing it out. And wouldnt you know that there happened to be a printer in the office.
~Bet you thought she had one in her bag!~
Hooking up her computer she would print out the design. It was something simple enough that it could be stitched on and yet held the darkness of the whole thing in its tone.
Perfect. At least she thought so. But then who was she to decide right? If Sky..er..Gabe....whatever! If the big bad boss dude did not like it then he could always change it.
Letting out a little sigh she would take the design, along with a few notes she had made about what materials were needed to created and where it should go on the shoe, over to Gil. Yeah..it was his job to do the stitching so she would leave it up to him.
She would then turn and head back to where she had been seated. Leaning back in her chair and once more going through her sketch book. Hmm..She really wanted to do something else. So for now she would sit back and start sketching out random things.
Not really for any other reason that she was bored now and waiting for something else to do. Her hand coming up to push back her hair from her face as she bit softly upon her lower lip.
She would continue to listen to her music, her mind wandering over things she needed to get done as well as things she wished to get done.
Already she was working on another design, though this one was more for herself than anything else.
Occassionally, being the paranoid artist that she was, she would pause in her drawings to get up and check on Gil.
Why?
Well because of the fact that she wanted to make sure that he was doing it right. DUH!!
She was not gonna have her ass blamed if it did not turn out right and looked crappy. Heh. Nodding every time she did. The only show that she liked the work done.
Yeah she could be a bitch at times. But she really did not want to take her headphones out and she really did not want to bother him while he worked.
Mess him up
He messes up design
She messes up his head....
Vicious cycle that would just end up with her having to do the stitching and then probably getting in trouble for hurting another employee. So yeah, best to keep silent and go back to her little work area.
Once more picking up her little drawing book and starting to sketch. Yeah, people thought just cause she took pictures that she could not make her own. Well haha!! Kev was much more talented than people gave her credit for.
Soon enough her mind was lost in that which she was doing and the music that filtered into her mind. Her foot moving along with the music as she continued to draw. Letting everything else just go on around her.
