Can I keep it? (Kevala)

[Mitsukai]

Mitsukai quietly entered the house, gently carrying the little feline in her arms as she made her way in. It had been over two hours or so since she had found the cat injured in the park and had asked Drea to help her. The Vet had put a cast on the little thing and told her it would only take a few months to heal. It was good that she and Drea had managed to help out the little stray but now they had ran into a little problem. They did not know what to do about the cat. Though Mitsukai was good with animals she did not know how Kevala would feel about it. Maybe Kev did not like cats and would not want it in the house.

She had to get her permission if she wanted it to stay here with her. If push came to shove Mitsukai was sure she could find it a place to stay once it healed. Still she would feel better if the feline stayed with her.

"Kev, you there?" she called out as she stuck her head in the living room to see if her friend was there.

She was there, both the twins laying on a large blanket on the floor. It was play time with Mommy apparently in this house. Kev settled on the floor with her shorts and tshirt on. Her eyes shifting from the twins who were old enough now to kick lightly as they laid there. They were after all 4 months old ( in RP time Lol Though now they shall age according to real time. >.> For now. xD ) Both of them cooing and kicking and just being babies.

As she heard Mitsu speak up she would smile, her hair falling into her face.

"Oh hey! We were just playing. And I was listening to the freaky baby talk for how their day has gone."

She laughed softly and would turn back to make sure that they were alright. Always worried. It was just in her nature.

Mitsukai chuckled as she saw Kevala playing with her kids. It was an adorable sight she had to admit and she herself was not much of a child lover. But something about Kev caring for her children made the girl happy, maybe because the scene itself looked so calm and peaceful. Or that it somewhat reminded her about her parents who were long gone.

Mitsukai stepped into the room, the little feline wrapped up securely in the T-shirt Drea and her originally cared it in to keep it warm. Kevala would not be able to see what was in the bundle yet from this distance but she would know that something was up.

"I need to ask you something." she said blushing a little, she could not even look at Kev at the moment because she felt a little awkward asking.

She noted the girl carrying something in her arms. Though for the life of her she could not tell what it was. But she was hit with a wave of embarrassment. Her empath ability having increased as of late. She herself struggling to fight off the urge now to be slightly shy. Instead she would use the option of being considerate. It would compliment the emotion well.

"Of course. What do you need?"

Smiling in a reassuring manner as she eyed the little bundle. Wondering just what was about to be asked of her. Surely it was not good. Mitsu really did not do light an fluffy stuff. Though she could always be surprised.

"Of course. What do you need?"

Mitsukai paused for a minute as she tried to think bout what exactly to say. After all it was not like she brought in strange animals every day and asked to take them in. And the details of the situation itself were a bit unique as well. It would be a lot to go through at the moment so she needed to think about what she would say. It would probably be best if she could explain the details of the situation first.

"Well today when I went out for a walk I saw these boys doing something strange." She began coming a bit closer and kneeling down next to Kevala and the twins. "When I came over to investigate they ran off and this was what I found." She would pull the T-shirt away enough to reveal the cat who was now fast asleep to her. "It was badly hurt so me and Drea took it to the vet. he told us that it should be fine after a few months but there is no where else for it to stay."

"I wanted to ask you if you would be okay with it living with us. Of course if you don't want it to stay I could try to find it a nice home after it recovers."

A cat?

Really?

She raised her brow as she looked at the little thing and then back to Mitsu....

A severed head.....a hand.....some guys....well yeah..That is what she was thinking..

But a cat? Seriously?

She would think for a moment, her mind running over the strangeness of this event and then shrugging softly.

"I do not care. So long as it is not around the Aiden or Kazumi's rooms. Also make sure that it does not get outside. The dogs would most likely kill it.

But other than that I do not care. May be interesting to have a cat around. I have never really owned one so I do not know."

It was true. Kev was a dog person, and she had never been given the chance to have a cat when she was growing up. So yeah. But really she did not care...so long as her dogs outside, the attack dogs she had, did not get it. That would not be a fun time around this house.

For a moment Kevala looked completely taken back when she saw the little kitten. Not very surprising, it did seem out of character for her to be bring something so cute and cuddly into the house. But Mitsukai had a soft side that most people did not know about.

"I do not care. So long as it is not around the Aiden or Kazumi's rooms. Also make sure that it does not get outside. The dogs would most likely kill it.

But other than that I do not care. May be interesting to have a cat around. I have never really owned one so I do not know."

Mitsukai smiled, she was glad that Kev was allowing the kitten to stay. Now for the first time in her life she would have a pet. "Don't worry I will take good care of it. And make sure it stays in my suite so it won't come near the kids.....should probably get it de-clawed just in case." Now the little guy could stay with them, the only thing it needed was a name. She took a quick look to see it's gender since during the entire mess she had forgotten to check. One quick glance would tell her the feline was a girl. "Wanna name her?" she asked.

She was taken back more from the offer to name the little creature. Her? Really?

She did not even know where to start trying to think of a name for a cat. She had never had to name something that was cute. Sure she had named the dogs which roamed the property, but they were not named to be cute they were named to be scary....

She let her brow rise slightly as she thought over this.

"Um.........Buttons?"

Hell she did not know. It sounded something like what a person would name a cute and cuddly little ball of fluff.

Or at least she thought so.

"Um.........Buttons?"

Mitsukai had to hold back a laugh. Buttons???.....well it seemed like a very standard name for a pet she supposed. But at the same time she would have to refer to the little feline like that for a very long time. If she had to do that then she might as well come up with something. Just at the moment a good name seemed to elude her.

"Well it is a start." she replied. "I will think about it." Well she was at least being honest there. It was something, and if she could not think of something better then she at least had a fall back name.

Mitsukai stood up, smiling down at her friend. "I am going to get her settled into my room before she wakes up. The drugs are going to wear off soon so the sooner I can get every set up the better." She would walk off now to bring her new pet into her bedroom to sleep for the rest of the night. "Thanks for letting her stay." She would say just before leaving the living room. Feeling overly joyed that the first time in her life she had a pet.

For all of Kevala's niceness and caring that she gave to those she cared for. She was anything but the girly girl, fall for the cuteness type. No, she really did not see the point in it. So she did not do it. As Mitsu turned to leave she would nod.

"Not a problem."

She would then turn back to Aiden and Kazu. Smiling and leaning down to tickle their bellies.

"You are about the cutest things Mommy will ever need huh? No silly kitty for Mommy..."

Laughing softly as she heard Aiden giggle. It was his new thing. Learning to laugh. And the sound lit her heart up.
