Sara saw the crowd of students across the field. She stood for a few moments, jeans and a tshirt, wondering what the hell was going on over there. Finally deciding it was best to find out (so Matrim didn't kill her) she started to head over there. She reached the crowd in moments, pushing through them, her voice calling loudly over the noise telling people to back up, move away.
Finally breaking the inner ring of students, her eyes scanned the enclosed area, falling onto the small girl, knocked out in the center of the circle of students. Tch... I knew it was bound to happen... Matrim's fault for choosing people who can't defend themselves yet... Whoever did this, was going to pay by Sara's hands. Definitely. She turned nonchalantly to the student next to her.
"What happened here?"
"Some kid beat her and took the Varsity Captain title... It was a GOOD fight!"
"I see.. Who was it?"
"I don't know, some new kid..."
That was all Sara needed to know. She stepped into the circle of students, arms raised to get their attention. "I'm your student body president, please leave the area, there is nothing to see here, please move along!" When the students didn't move, she narrowed her eyes at them. "Unless you wanna end up in worse condition then her, I suggest you all move along now."
The students all began to leave and Sara turned her gaze back down to Mitsukai. She let out a frustrated growl as she leaned down and picked her up, cradling her in her arms. Good thing she was small and light. Sara liked her. Whether she liked Sara or not didn't matter to her, she liked her. She had so much potential. Soo much. And it wouldn't be to much longer before she was able to protect herself and hold her own. Sara wasn't worried about the title transfer. Matrim would rectify that soon enough.
A few moments later, Sara carried her into the nurses office, laying her down on a bed and pulled the curtains closed as a nurse hurried over and began examining Mitsukai. Sara took a seat in the corner of the curtained area, out of the way of the nurse. When she finished with Mitsukai, she nodded to Sara that she would be alright and left the two alone. Sara sat back in the uncomfortable chair and waited for her to wake up.

Mitsukai finally woke up to find herself in new surroundings. Great I actually passed out. she thought, a soft growl escaping her lips in annoyance. There was no way she would ever live this day down. Sure her opponent had been stronger than her but to actually be knocked out like that was pathetic.
She sat up and immediately was rewarded with a sharp pain from her sides and of course her chest. With another growl she would glare at her injured side as if somehow that would make the pain die down. Fuck she was hurt bad. No doubt her ribs might have broken from the impact of that man's leg crashing into her.
Mitsukai would lay back down again not wanting to move anymore, even if she could get up the pain was too much for her to take at the moment. Her eyes for a moment wandered around the room to try and figure out where she was. Most likely she was sent to the nurses office but who took her here? It was not like she had much friends that would give a shit enough to take her here. No doubt most of the other students would have just left her laying on the ground to rot. Though who knows, maybe Kevala or Drea had been there and watched as she had her ass handed to her and then dragged her battered body to this place.
Those wandering eyes finally fell on the person sitting opposite her and she was a bit surprised to see Sara there. Yes they had some history together. Mind you a bit short and most of those encounters only gave the girl headaches just thinking about them but still she did not really know Sara that well. She would have expected Sara would not like her that much either and who could blame her? Mitsukai tended to be a little bitchy towards others whether intentionally or not. Yes Sara still acted a bit cheerful and annoyingly friendly around the girl but she figured it was only because she was a pillar. Why would she even bother to sit by her side anyway?
"What are you doing here?" she demanded, a bit rudely though this time she didn't really mean to be so harsh. Her mind was still on her embarrassing defeat and she could not help but feel a bit agitated.

Sara was spaced out, one leg crossed over the other, chin resting on her hand as she stared off past the bed. She was plotting, planning. Despite her appearance and personality, she was actually quite smart, though it was rare that she took an interest in anything besides her own personal welfare, but there was something about this girl that caught her attention. Again, the potential was astounding. Sara had only seen one other that had caught her attention like this, and he was long gone, their little group disbanded. She wondered what had happened to him...
Mitsukai suddenly sat up, bringing Sara back to the land of the living. Sara's gaze shifted over her, taking her in as she checked herself out. Sara sighed as Mitsukai dropped back down on the pillows. The nurse hadn't told Sara exactly what was wrong, but Sara herself had figured she was pretty badly off.
I'll kill the guy who did this...
Mitsukai's eyes finally settled on her. Sara didn't move, merely met her gaze with soft, concerned eyes. Sara knew that the girl probably didn't trust her. Hell, Sara doubted she would trust herself in most cases, at least until you got to know her. She waited for Mitsukai to say something first, unsure of where she stood with the girl.
"What are you doing here?"
Sara's lips turned up in a small, a small laugh coming from her as she stood and pulled her chair closer to the bed. Dropping back into it, she relaxed. "You could at least seem thankful you know. I brought you here. You lost the title Mitsukai." Sara tilted her head to the side, examining her. "To say the least, I was surprised. I'm here because I was worried about you, how do you feel? Can I get you anything?"
Once she had answered, Sara would pause before getting up if she wanted anything, if she didn't then Sara would simply continue. "I heard it was a good fight though. I personally wasn't there, but I'm sure it was. We'll just have to start training more often, get you up there so this doesn't happen again." Sara smiled at her, hoping she caught the drift.

"You could at least seem thankful you know. I brought you here. You lost the title Mitsukai."
Mitsukai's gaze shifted away from Sara's her feline eyes glaring up at the ceiling instead. She knew full well that by losing that fight she would lose her title. She should have seen that coming, after all she was still not very strong but yet....
"To say the least, I was surprised. I'm here because I was worried about you, how do you feel? Can I get you anything?"
Sara was actually worried about her? Why should it matter to this girl how Mitsukai felt? After all she was no longer a pillar so the smaller girl should not be any of Sara's concern. She would not deny that Sara's worry made her feel a little bit better. She was not completely sure why but it did.
"It's okay I am fine." she would say. Though she was in this state she rather not seek out much help. Mitsukai was already feeling pretty pathetic as it was. It would only be worse if she had to depend on someone.
"I heard it was a good fight though. I personally wasn't there, but I'm sure it was. We'll just have to start training more often, get you up there so this doesn't happen again."
"If you can call one party getting pulverized while unable to at least lift a finger to defend themselves a fight then it was a damn good match." She growled again, her voice filled with rage. None of that anger was directed at Sara, though who knew if the other girl would misread her. Most of that anger was reserved for the bastard that did this to her, and of course at herself for not doing anything to at least injury him. Just the thought of him made her so damn angry, she had to pay him back for this.
Again she would sit up, pain shooting through her entire body as she forced herself out of the bed. Clutching her most likely broken ribs in a sad attempt to leave the room.
"Where is that son of a bitch." she hissed, her anger was starting to get the best of her. She knew she needed to rest but that growing frustration was haunting her. She had to do something now and she could not wait anymore.

"If you can call one party getting pulverized while unable to at least lift a finger to defend themselves a fight then it was a damn good match."
Sara couldn't help but smile at the anger the girl seemed to radiate. It was... refreshing. You didn't see that much anymore in the students. Sara, as usual, didn't take any anger or rudeness personally. It just wasn't her style. Made things complicated. When Mitsukai suddenly sat up, Sara stood, moving to the side of the bed and tentatively reaching out to touch her back as she tried to get out of the bed.
"Where is that son of a bitch."
"Hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves." Sara would try to lightly push her back into the bed. "Listen to me, I swear to you you'll have the chance to get him back for this. But not isn't the time to do that. Understand?" Her voice and tone was commanding, but reassuring. Sara was completely serious. She would help Mitsukai get strong enough to take him on.
If Sara had gotten her to lay back down, she would move back to her chair, dropping back into it and leaning forward. "Now who was it who did this to you? Do you know his name?"

"Hey, let's not get ahead of ourselves."
Sara lightly pushed her back down, Mitsukai was about to protest but her body just would not allow her that chance. Instead reluctantly she would lay back down again. Her practical side coming back to her. As much as she would like to get the bastard who did this to her now was far too soon to do so. If she fought him now he'd only beat her worse.
"Listen to me, I swear to you you'll have the chance to get him back for this. But not isn't the time to do that. Understand?"
Mitsukai would nod obediently. Sara was right, now was not the time to act foolishly. Foolishness only got one into more trouble, her life was already hectic enough as it was without her dragging even more trouble into the mix.
"Now who was it who did this to you? Do you know his name?"
She would shake her head in response, he had never given her a name. Chances were before he kicked her ass no one in the school even heard about him. But now they will. she thought bitterly. The news would no doubt spread around like wildfire, no one would ever let her live this moment down. That thought did not help to ease her troubles. Now everyone in the school would think her weak and start picking on her again. It was only because of her attitude and later on the pillarship that made the other students believe that she was not someone to fuck with but now..... there was nothing that would stop them. Just like everywhere else she would have to suffer more. Now she did not know what she would do.

Sara sighed sadly when Mitsukai shook her head. No problem though, she could find out other ways. Although she knew Matrim would never let this title transfer stick, she didn't want to tell Mitsukai that. Sara didn't think it would be all that productive and positive in this situation.
She could tell though that Mitsukai was taking this pretty hard. Sara searched for some infinite words of wisdom, but came up with a blank. "Look... I know this seems pretty bad but... It's really not. You know how often I got my ass handed to me? Even now? The titles change hands all the time. The only thing you can do is get it back and then... Beat the shit out of him." Sara chuckled. She really wasn't one for bonding. She was awkward around people, but she should at least be given credit for trying.
"First, I'll be paying this guy a visit. We chose you as pillar for a reason, and I stand by them. Next, as soon as you're healed, we're going to train. You'll see, it'll work out nicely in the end." Sara smiled enthusiastically. "But in the meantime, tell me about yourself. We haven't had much time to talk, and I have no intention of leaving, so you might as well humor me."

She chuckled at that, maybe this girl had a point. It was not like this was the first time she was ever beaten before. Heck she even faced bigger opponents before it was just this guy....he got under her skin. Sure it didn't help that he had given her one of her worse ass kicking so far. It was just that cockiness, that certainty he had that she would never beat him back that was what got her. For now she would have to ignore it and focus on recovering so she could prove him wrong later.
"First, I'll be paying this guy a visit. We chose you as pillar for a reason, and I stand by them. Next, as soon as you're healed, we're going to train. You'll see, it'll work out nicely in the end."
For a second Mitsukai thought about arguing about that. The one thing she did NOT want was someone else fighting this guy for her. She wanted the self satisfaction of pounding the bastard to the ground herself. But she suppose it could not be helped, the guy had disturbed the order and now the other pillars had to restore that order, it was unavoidable. Like if Sara kicking his ass would stop her from doing so herself later. So for now she held her tongue.
"But in the meantime, tell me about yourself. We haven't had much time to talk, and I have no intention of leaving, so you might as well humor me."
She blinked in surprise at the sudden change in topic. Mitsukai was not much of a talker so she had no clue what to say. Not like she could just walk off at the moment so now she was forced into a bit of an awkward situation.
"Like what?" she asked.

"Like what?"
Sara laughed, relaxing. Well at least she wasn't running for the hills, that had to be a good sign right? "What do you mean like what? Ok, I'll start. I'm actually from Canada, I moved here to live with my uncle and started school here at 259. I transferred not to long after meeting Matrim to a school called 42. Well, Matrim ended up moving back here so I followed him."
Why? Sara had no bloody clue =_=" That man was insufferable, but she would be DAMNED if she was going to let him come back here without her. "Moved into my own place but... Matrim burned down the whole apartment building... >_>" Don't say anything about that though." She gave Mitsukai a knowing wink and went back to her story. "So I moved in with him, then realized it was what he wanted all along."
Ya... 'cuz Matrim so went about courting her the right way. "In between all that... " Sara coughed into her hand. "I had a kid with him" Ya... right... Shayne was now at this point hers, according to the birth certificate, and so far no one had questioned it. "And here I am now. There's a lot more to it all then that, but that's the basic gist. Now it's your turn."
Sara smiled at her encouragingly.

Mitsukai listened to Sara's story, storing that new found information into her mind. So Sara like her had moved here to the states and had moved back and forth through schools. That and she now knew the kind of relationship she had with Matrim. Odd as it seemed to be the pair did seem like they would fit together. Kind of like Kevala she also was a mother, though in this case the father didn't take off and run.
"And here I am now. There's a lot more to it all then that, but that's the basic gist. Now it's your turn."
Mitsukai would give a heavy sigh, once again looking away from the other girl to stare at the ceiling. Her mind drifting back at a time she would rather forget. "I lived in japan for awhile." she said simply, not bothering to go into much detail. "When I was around 12 or so I moved to America with my aunt and uncle and then came here." She conveniently left out the fact her parents were long since dead, it was something she rather not touch on in light conversation. "Since coming here I moved in with Katsuri and Kevala and have been living there ever since."

"I lived in japan for awhile."
At this point, on any other day, any other time, Sara would have already jumped in, stopping her, and bombarding her with questions, but for the sake of actually making an attempt to listen to this girl and understand her, Sara remained quiet and respectful. Again, Sara should be given credit for this.
"When I was around 12 or so I moved to America with my aunt and uncle and then came here. Since coming here I moved in with Katsuri and Kevala and have been living there ever since."
Sara sat forward. As much as she believed there was OBVIOUSLY a large chunk missing, at least the girl had reciprocated and told her something. But the Katsuri part intrigued her. "Katsuri? Kevala said Katsuri was gone. Do you know where he is?"
Sara leaned back, trying to relax. He had played a large role in her life up to this point, both positively and negatively. She was curious, so sue her. After she answered, Sara would make another attempt at sharing. "Katsuri and me go back to like, my first week in America. Our past is... mixed to say the least." She chuckled lightly at the memory. One would think she hated him for starting her addiction to the root, but it clearly wasn't the case.

"Katsuri? Kevala said Katsuri was gone. Do you know where he is?"
Mitsukai shook her head sadly. Though she of course tried her best to track the big man down but he had vanished off the face of the earth. There was no way to know where he went. And if he did not want to be found then so be it. Let the bastard stay where ever he was. Kev and her had moved one.
"Katsuri and me go back to like, my first week in America. Our past is... mixed to say the least."
"Let me guess......he tried to make you one of his play things." She said. It would be no surprise if he had gone after Sara the same way that he had her. After all he was like that. What girl had he NOT tried to claim?

"Let me guess......he tried to make you one of his play things."
Sara barked out a laugh, relaxing further. "Well, you could call it that, but me and him had a mutual understanding of things. You could say I more worked for him more then anything. He was a lot of things to me. 'Master' was not one of them."
She leaned forward, resting her arms on Mitsukai's bed. "I'm going to get this all sorted out, don't worry about it. Just relax and get better." Just then, the nurse came in with a little cup and some pills. Sara took one look at her and got to her feet. "Look, I'll see you around ok? You're in good hands here. Don't worry, I'll find you when the time is right."
The nurse smiled and nodded to Sara as she patted Mitsukai's leg. She spoke to the nurse as she left. "You make sure she doesn't hurt any more then she has to alright?" And then she was gone.
