Ah, study hall, Aureus' favorite period of the day. Sure, he had to spend most of it going around patrolling the halls, but that wasn't too bad. Every now and then he'd forget his Pillaring duty all together and would spend time with Chi, but today she was busy so he'd have to make due. What really ticked him off though was the fact that he was one of the only people doing it. Normally all the pillars would take a building and things would be fine, but he wasn't that fortunate. Max had disappeared...again, and Saint was nowhere to be found. That being the case, he and Mitsuki split the job among themselves.
*sigh* I should talk with Mitsuki about picking a new Pillar, and giving Saint a kick in the ass. Christ, if it wasn't for me people would think they can do whatever the fuck they want. How does Asiv expect me to keep the peace, help new students, and keep up with my work? This job's really starting to be a pain in the ass. The schizo thought to himself while sitting down in the hall of the freshmen building, floor one. Out in front of him was a blank piece of paper he had yet to start writing on. Forcing his thoughts onto his homework, Aureus began writing code for an advanced version of his Vending Machine program from last year. Thank god for functions and Select Case...
The hall he happened to be sitting in was rather quiet, as most students were in their homerooms sleeping, doing homework, or talking with their friends. Oddly, almost no one was walking around. Well, at least there hadn't been...

Aki had started out the school year rather quietly, and not much out of the ordinary had happened. He liked to keep a rather low profile, get to know a few people here and there, and scope out the place. The freshman orientation had been somewhat interesting. The school supervisor had introduced some of the important characters in the school, such as the Pillars who kept order, and gave us his best wishes for the school year. It was study hall now, and his teachers were kind enough not to pile on the homework on his first day, so he wandered the halls looking for something to do.
Hmm, who's this? Wait, I think he's one of the Pillars they introduced earlier. He looks oddly...familiar, besides from seeing him at the orientation today.
"'Scuse me. Do I...know you from somewhere?"

Hearing footsteps come closer and closer, the dark haired boy dropped the green mechanical pencil he had been holding into his lap and turned his head to face the new comer.
Quickly looking over the boy, Aureus noted that he had never seen him before. That meant one of two things: either he was new; he certainly looked young enough, or was really good at keeping to himself. After pondering that, the Pillar focused on the question posed to him. "I don't think so. I don't think I've seen you before. You new?" He asked in his usual, semi-friendly tone.

"That's funny; you look familiar, but yeah I'm new," responded Aki, seeming somewhat distracted. Looking back up and glancing around the hall, he added "I think I could get used to this place, seems nice enough. And on the plus side, there are more cute Asian girls here than my last school..." Looking back down at the Pillar, he asked "Say, do you mind showing a new kid around?"

Thought so. Aureus said to himself, not bothering to reply to the first part of the kid's statement. So, maybe he looked like someone the boy knew. He wasn't all that unique looking, right? I mean, there had to be a good number of guys walking around with semi-long brown hair, brown eyes, and of average height. Oh well, no point in paying it too much mind.
Hearing the comment about 259 being nice enough, the Pillar let out a "Mhmm..." What came next was a pleasant surprise. "Cute Asian girls, eh?" He asked after a hearty laugh. "My girlfriend happens to be one of those cute Asian girls. You've got good taste, man." Aureus said light heartedly. Hmm, this kid isn't half bad. Better than most of the Freshmen, Levi noted. "Sure, I'll show you around, it's my job after all." the Sophomore replied before standing up and putting his books into his pack.
"Well I guess I'll start with a brief rundown of the place. This is building A, which is exclusively for Freshmen classes. This floor, the first, has all your sciences courses. The second has history and the like, and the third is for English, Lit, Philosophy, etc. It's the same way for the other three buildings, each being for a different grade level. As you probably know, there are a lot of students here, in addition to many different classes. It's pretty easy to find stuff you like. Courses stay the same year round. No, switching off every quarter or two like some other places. There are plenty of people that like to fight here, so you better know how to handle yourself. Some of the teachers will not hesitate to kick your ass for fucking around. Corporal punishment is permitted here. But you probably knew most of that already. That's pretty much all there is though, but if you have any requests, go ahead." Aureus said while leaning against the wall of lockers.
