One week at the hospital, and all she sees is this - an unchanged situation wherein the school was still run by a rather strange line-up of a hierarchy. Emily had been captain; she knew what it took to become a pillar, but titles of that sort were the last thing she wanted.
Emily lost her title on purpose, or at least that's what she wanted herself to believe. Not like it should bother her as much as the accusation of being weak. Heh, no way. Emily may be complacent about social status but she never really liked being underestimated about anything. She was quite competative by nature, and severely disliked being last place in things - fighting included.
Though, she would have to keep things in control first. It was a bit premature for Regalia to make it's appearance. Ryuu and Drea weren't as strong as Gabriel and David, but they were well under way to be.
She stood in the middle of the School's baseball field, more or less staring at the muggy sky. There wasn't much sun today, and the wind was blowing quite hard; maybe it was going to rain tonight.
With White hair and the Legendary Earth Dragon coat waving madly against the wind, she wondered how the rest of the week would turn out after today.
She didn't notice somebody approaching her from behind, obviously still in deep thought more or less.

Cain rotated his right shoulder around its socket, his left hand atop the joint for extra support. Soft grunts emerged from his lips as he felt the ligaments and tendons ache upon the rotative movement, the junior pacing his way down the field, having just returned from a nearby beat down, of which three sophomores had thought to get the better of him. And one had almost succeeded in using an arm bar to pull Cain's right arm out from its socket. If it were not for his flexibility, Cain would have lost that fight indeed.
As the blue-haired fighter was making his way to his class, though, as he walked through the field, something standing at the peripherals of his eyes caught his attention. He stopped in his tracks, his sneakers ceasing the squeaks it made as it stepped upon the moist grass of the field. He turned his head, his hazel eyes gazing upon a familiar figure right smack at the center of the baseball field. It was not her face that he found familiar, no, considering he was behind her. It was her white hair. For some reason, they gave Cain a sense of nostalgia. At that, he changed the direction of his journey, heading instead towards the direction of the white-haired female.
It was only a few feet away was the junior able to recognise her. He had met her before, Cain remembered. She was that girl he met during a storm and was stuck in a shelter cause she had no umbrella. Cain lent her his and they walked to the cafeteria to have a bite. As he neared her, he raised his right hand to his forehead, jerking it outwards in a mock salute gesture.
"Yo, Emily. Remember me?"

"Yo, Emily. Remember me?" a young man said, approaching with a mock salute as a greeting. Emily had thought the voice to be distinctively familiar. Though it was hazy to her for the first few moments, it all made sense to her as the girl turned around, her green eyes greeting the young man that approached her. He was a person she considered to be an interesting one; someone she could probably be interested in one day fighting - or maybe that would come sooner than she thought, right?
"Of course." She said, grinning. "Cain, right? What're you doing here on 259?"
It was a simple question; after all, with the mass transfers from PHS 42 to 259 there were only a few reasons available for his little visit. that is, unless he transferred of course. If he did, Emily wouldn't be suprised.
"That aside, how are things? I haven't seen you since 42."

"Of course. Cain, right? What're you doing here on 259?"
Well, that was good. Everyone that he had met thus far from 42 still had memories of the young blue-haired boy. Then again, with his hair colour, who could really forget him? It was very rare to see a boy with such colored hair, for it seemed far from natural. Apparently, though, in the case of Cain, it was as natural as natural can get. He gave Emily a nod in accordance to her confirmation of his name. Well, at least she remembered, even if she was a bit unsure, right? He had not seen her in quite a while now.
"Oh, uhm, I'm a student here. A transfer, if that's the right term for it. You too, huh?"
Of course, Cain failed to be aware that Emily had actually been from 259. So, in a way, she was not transferring here. More so, she was coming back. If you get what I mean. Cain smiled, resting his weight then on his right leg, his left hand entering his pocket, the man being as casual as he could. There was no point getting tensed up, after all.
"That aside, how are things? I haven't seen you since 42." "Eh, I've been fine. Been training quite a bit, but other than that, I've been well. You?"
There was, after all, a gap in the period of time from which 42 transferred to 259, and he followed after. In that period of time, he was actually back in New York, trying out a little something that Chrynos had set up for him. A sort of training facility, if that was the right way to call it. And now, he was back here, in California. And hopefully this time, he would finish his high school here. He had already been to four high schools, after all.

"Oh, uhm, I'm a student here. A transfer, if that's the right term for it. You too, huh?" A transferee? Heh, Emily grinned, the slight amusement hidden from her face as she turned towards an old aquaintance. It didn't seem that Cain was aware that she had been from this school at all, so Emily thought it was best to keep it to herself for now - indirectly, at least.
"You could it put it that way, technically." She said, hiding her hands inside the coat's pockets as she fully turned to face Cain. He said he had been fine, and had been training as well. That was an interesting thought, if anything. Training was a good thing in Emily's book, despite being partial about fighting in general.
"I'm quite well; been through a bit the past few days but I've been training as well." She said, "Well, in many things other than fighting that is. I guess I've improved anyways, but I could never really tell for myself."
She smiled.
Was that a hint?

"You could it put it that way, technically."
Technically? Cain looked at her with his head tilted, looking quite curious indeed. What did she mean by technically? Of course, there were plenty of possibilities. One could be that she had been a student here before, Cain was aware of that. Or two, she was not a student here. At least, not yet. Many more possibilities came to mind, but none were as reasonable as the two he had pointed out. Ah, it was not his business anyway. Unless she decided to say more, he was not going to probe into the matter.
"I'm quite well; been through a bit the past few days but I've been training as well. Well, in many things other than fighting that is. I guess I've improved anyways, but I could never really tell for myself."
As lacking in social skills as Cain was, he was smart enough to read the words of others and knew that she was hinting something out there. The smile she gave afterwards made it even more noticeable too, as Cain gave a sly grin of his own. He shrugged then, adding his own comments. And of course, they had an underlining too.
"True enough, you can't. You need someone else to tell you for you. Of course, they would have to be someone who has a benchmark on how your skill is."
He grinned.

A grin back from the transfer. Heh, this was getting quite exciting, was it not? As fascinating as things were to Emily, there were many a thing that she figured, and one of them was----
"True enough, you can't. You need someone else to tell you for you. Of course, they would have to be someone who has a benchmark on how your skill is."
Emily would then pull on her gloves, adjusting them so that they clung to her hands properly. Comfort was important after all, but that wasn't exactly the number one reason why Emily clung to these gloves, after all.
"You and I have fought before, haven't we?" she said, assuming a defensive position, "I'm not sure I remember who won; so, I'm quite curious about how it's gonna be - interested, my friend?"
She said. Emily openly requesting a fight was a rare, rare find, but hopefully she would be a worthy opponent for this man, right?

The pull on the gloves, as natural as the movement was, was enough to tell Cain a lot of things about Emily. The most important thing of them all, though, was that she was ready to rumble. Cain grinned, taking a step back, his reply to her adjustment of gloves, his body facing then at an angle, but his eyes still fixated upon him. No way was he going to turn back now. He was too excited to stop himself.
"You and I have fought before, haven't we? I'm not sure I remember who won; so, I'm quite curious about how it's gonna be - interested, my friend?"
He grinned. Interested was a bit of an understatement to how excited Cain was feeling then. He took a deep breathe, before giving a nod, raising his right hand in a shrug of sorts.
"Haha, more than you can ever imagine, Emily."
She took a defensive stance, or at least, Cain presumed so, for she was making no indicating of moving forward towards him. At that, the blue-haired fighter knew what he had to do. He took a small bow, before looking up at Emily.
"Well, don't mind if I do."
At that, his left foot took a quick step forward, his whole body jerking towards his opponent as he twisted upon his left ankle, his whole body spinning towards his left as he lifted his right leg, sending it in as a roundhouse kick aimed towards her left thigh.

A roundhouse kick for her left thigh; thing is with kicks that they were mildly predictable if one knew the muscles involved, which ones tensed and such things that involved massive amounts of physics and geometry...
Emily would slightly move her feet so that they would be apart about a few inches wider to help with what she aimed to do; which is technically the same thing he did. With her right hand pulling out the small metal fan from inside her coat's pockets, she would have it smack itself right on his achilles heel, which would not only weaken the leg, but also have a chance of tearing the ligament significantly and cause him to limp.
Following the motion of her previous movement, she would then attempt on an offensive counter; her left arm would then shoot itself backwards (so that she would spin) and she would attempt to hit the apex of Cain's sternum.
It was a spar, Emily was going to have some fun. Hopefully this fight would be enjoyable for him as well?
