-Forged almost a millennium ago in Jerusalem, this golden ring was given to Sir Torrington of Asheford to signify his allegiance to the Templar order. Created from blessed metal, in blessed fire, by blessed tools and an order blacksmith, this ring was created as a holy artifact to bind its wearer to the Knights Templar and God above. Sir Torrington would wear this ring for the rest of his life, including his various battles in several crusades. He first began his fighting in the Holy Land as a Templar in the Defense of Jerusalem in 1187 and would leave as an escort to the civilians on their journey to Europe. When Richard the Lionheart joined the third crusade to retake the Kingdom of Jerusalem, Torrington swore his fealty to the king and joined him. He would prove valuable in Richard’s conquest of Cyprus in 1191 and the Siege of Acre later that year, only the last month of the long siege. Torrington’s experience in battles against Saladin would bring him to be very close to the King of England as that knowledge would partially lead to victories at Arsuf and Jaffa. However King Richard would negotiate a treaty with Saladin and the Third Crusade would end. Sir Torrington of Asheford, as he was now called through King Richard’s grace, would return for the Fourth Crusade from 1202-1204 and Fifth Crusade in 1217-1221. He would pass on in 1253 at the age of 94, which added to the myths of Templar power as he’d never removed the ring until his death. His sword, ring and land would pass on to his eldest son and thus would be the custom of what became the Krauser family.
-Thus the ring would pass from father to son along with the legends and stories of the Templars. The family is said to have avoided the executions due to their positioning in England. Legend was that the ring and sword together would lead to Templar artifacts, however the sword broke between two brothers during the War of the Roses. One half in the Red Rose Saber would continue on but the other half, White Rose Saber would be lost to time, however this is all for another time.
-Eventually George Krauser I would pass the ring to his fourth son Thomas Krauser. The reason for this being that George II died at the age of 11 from disease and the next two sons, Samuel and Jauffry would pass during service in World War 2. Thomas would become fanatical with searching for the other artifacts but would not find them. Feeling his old age, he would break the pattern and pass the ring and saber to his son before his passing. That son would have the same fanaticism as would his wife, their names were Fredrick and Maria Krauser. They would perish during a search in 1987 leaving their three year old son all their wealth and belongings, including the ring. This son’s name… Skylar Krauser.
-The ring is made of 14k Gold that has been mixed with steel to enhance its strength, and has a small Sapphire in the middle of the Templar cross on the face of the ring. All the parts were blessed and found in the Holy Land to make it “pure”.
-The ring is perhaps heavy for a ring however as far as most items of such power go it is relatively light being only 1.6 lbs. (.1lbs for Sapphire.)
-$3,000 dollars has been paid for the ring to be “fitted” for the new owner, Skylar Krauser. This also allows for him to use the artifact with less adjustment (90% Slash On All Penalties And 90% Increase On All Benefits.)(Stats affect - Strength, Intelligence, Charisma)
-Due to the nature of the materials and manner of its creation the ring enhances the natural abilities of the person wearing it. (Power 1: Qi ability x1.2, Upgrade 1: x1.5, Upgrade 2: x2)*Subject to Mod Change**Not Paid For*
-Also the ring has the ability to “recharge” the wearer’s natural abilities by channeling the world’s energy through it. (Power 2: Cha regain 1 per post, Upgrade 1: 3 per post, Upgrade 2: 5 per post)*Subject to Mod Change**Not Paid For*[/b][/size]
