Matrim stated getting to work, hiring decorators, paying for the decorations themselves, and began decking the halls on a Saturday in December, getting ready for Christmas. Sure there was the bit about celebrating all Holidays, and that was all good, and he would have multi cultural decorations, but he was partial to his own beliefs, his own customs, and his own holiday. A large fake christmas tree was placed in the cafeteria, an assortment of empty wrapped boxes, reefs on the doors, lights around the school, holly and any other decorations you can imagine.
In fact as a joke, Matrim put mistletoe above all the classroom doors to cause awkward moments between students, and hell even faculty. Of course, he did this without telling the school first. After all, he was the Captain right? If this school had it's opinion of what a Captain did, he didn't care. What he did care about was having fun, and even if the decorations would be torn to shreds in twenty minutes straight he'd go through with it.
That Monday morning he'd get to school early, already in the building he would be whistling Christmas carols through the halls of the school as he entered it, thankfully seeing his decorations untouched, undamaged, and ready for at least the first to see them. Going to the cafeteria, dressed in a Santa suit, he sat on a big chair near the large Christmas tree, a freshman nearby with a Camera offering to take peoples pictures with Santa (Matrim) Claus.
Getting his big bushy beard on he waited to see if anyone would actually do it. After all, it wasn't everyday somebody did this, and being high school and all in this day and age... not a ton of Christmas spirit. But who knows, maybe somebody would go for it.

It was one of the few times Mitsukai made it to school early. For some reason she had woken up almost two hours earlier then she normally did and could not go to sleep. So the girl figured hey, she might as well go to school and relax for a bit before classes start.
The second she opened the doors her eyes were assaulted with Christmas decorations. Yes....it was that type of year again. One of the years that she hated the most....well since coming to the states anyways. The only good Christmas she ever had was with her parents before they died. Since their death it had never been the same for her, her relatives made it become something terrible for years before she came to this place. She tried to keep herself from getting bitter this time around. She was free from her old family and actually had a few people that gave a shit about her so maybe this year would be different.....maybe >.>
Silently Mitsukai made her way through the halls. Her footsteps just barely echoing through the empty halls when she made it to the cafeteria room. The place was relatively empty save for some guy in a Santa suit.....yeah a Santa suit.....
She could not help but roll her eyes at this. What did the school think the students were? A bunch of three year old? Please >.>
There was something a bit odd about this Santa Claus though.....like as if she knew the guy from somewhere but she did not know where. The disguise covered him up well enough to make him unnoticable for her. Well whoever it was they probably were not that important to her anyways. So Mitsukai found herself a little spot a few tables away from the display. Taking a seat and rummaging through her things to pull out a book to read. She would be here for awhile so she might as well find something to do.

grav had watched the whole thing. all the trekking back and forth, the lifting reaching and hanging of decorations, and the man in the suit. he saw it all you generally do that when your stealthely sneaking through the halls of the school at night. it was a past time of gravs around christmas. he loved the holiday but never had anybody to celebrate with. so he found an empty place to just wonder and think. but the school wasnt as empty as he thought it would be.
the man in the suit was the school captain. grav thought for a moment and then remembered his name, MATRIM!!! thats right. gabriel talked about him alot. but whatever grav will decide weather or not he liked him. and so far he did. all the decorations and the santa. anybody who had the balls to do this couldnt be too bad.
grav saw as the girl he didint know entered the cafeteria. grav followed suit. wanting to see her reaction. he got in just as she was sitting at the table. he looked around to see the girl sitting at a table and santa clause just kinda sitting in a chair... and an elf.... taking pictures..... hmmmm
grav stood there then laughed outloud followed by
"dude this is amazing!!! ive never seen so much cheer in one place!!! i want a picture with santa like hardcore!!!!"
grav walked toward santa and the camera elf
"is it cool if i get a picture santy claws?"

There are a lot of things that Hall didn't like about the holidays, which in the past made this time of year the worst. For one, he very seldom received any gifts throughout the years. Now it wasn't actually the fact that he didn't get anything that was upsetting, but more the realization that almost everyone else did get something. He used to be a very jealous type of person, but he was trying to change. Nowadays, it was hard for him to feel anything at all, but he preferred this to harboring only anger and guilt and jealousy and lust and... well, the point is made. So what was he feeling at this time that used to make him well up with so much hate? More than anything, relief seemed to be taking hold. Last Christmas he was full of guilt and grief. the year before that, he had started several fights and hospitalized a rival gang member, which he had considered his present for the holidays. The reason why he was relieved was mainly because he had managed to spend the entire year under the radar so far. It wasn't easy, but he hadn't gotten into a single fight at his new school yet, though it seemed he was always "dodging bullets" so to speak considering how everyone who was part of the institution seemed to hotheaded and immature, including the teachers. And as proud as he was of this fact, it wasn't entirely accurate. he had been in several fights since starting here, just none of them on school grounds, and none of them lasting more than a few moments.
When he walked into the cafeteria this fateful morning, Hall noticed a teacher, or maybe a student, dressed as the one and only Santa Claus in an attempt to spread cheer throughout the campus. He felt he could empathize with this person, for he had been hired by the local mall staff to play as Santa on weekends to earn money. The pay was poor, but he couldn't seem to find a better job. After a moment though, he realized this impostor had it far worse than he. Toddlers were scary, but teenager, well, they can be just downright vicious. if this had been two or three years ago, Hall would have picked a fight on general principle, but, once again, he was changing. Instead of fighting, he sat at a table and did homework, feeling pity for this Santa Claus who would be received negatively, if at all in this harsh environment.
"dude this is amazing!!! ive never seen so much cheer in one place!!! i want a picture with santa like hardcore!!!!"
Thus the contradiction presented himself. Hall looked up, interested in the student with enough pride, or arrogance, to openly admit he enjoyed Santa on a personal level, so much so as to want a picture with the jolly man. He took this opportunity to see the other students that were present: a girl who seemed to be reacting exactly as he assumed most would to the Santa, and the poor, poor, small freshman dressed as an elf taking the pictures.
"is it cool if i get a picture santy claws?"
"Ahh," Hall sighed to himself. Though it was possible that the boy was sincere, it was also highly possible that he was simple messing with the man in red. He was hoping this wasn't the case, especially since he was starting to really care for the man behind the suit, which is something he hadn't felt in too, too long. If this escalated at all, he was going to do his part to ensure that the man stayed safe, even if that meant fighting on school property. But he stayed calm. no reason to get worked up over nothing.

Aaaaannnnnd.....enter the little female with nothing better to do than be roaming around school this lovely and fine day. Her eyes falling over the man in red and her brow raising. O.....kay......yeah....she was about to walk past, buuuuuut......she would grin.
This could in theory be fun.....so, she would wave to Mitsu as she drew closer....hehe...
~Oh gods....we are gonna do this arent we?~
~Yep!!!~
~Well....okay then.~
Coming to a stop near the group she would tilt her head to the side and grin.
"I wanna pic with Santa! I wanna sit in his lap and let him tell me if I have been naughty or nice."
A little brush of her tongue over her lips and she would turn toward Mitsu who was reading....
The girl really needed to learn how to be more open and outgoing.
Either way she would speak, dragging her best friend along for the ride on this one.
"What do you think Mitsu? Have I been naughty or have I been nice? Cause I really want a present from Santa this year."
She almost bounced up and down on the spot, but that would be reserved for later. For now she was merely grinning as eyes shifted from one person to the other.
She spotted the new guy, buuuuuuut, she was here for SANTA not him. She would have to catch up to him later.
