"How the hell does this thing work?" Mitsukai would mumble to herself as she fumbled around with the controls to the electric wheel chair she had been given. This was her first time ever using such a thing and thanks to her luck with technology she could not get the hang of it so easily. It was rather sad, especially for the next few months this chair was the only mode of transportation.
She gave a small sigh. Mitsukai wanted nothing more than to be able to walk again but with her leg still healing in that brace there was no chance of that happening anytime soon.
Mitsukai kept pushing buttons on the controller, getting a feel for what button moved her where and how long she needed to hold onto what to turn properly without losing control. At least now she was starting to get the hang of it. She was even able to move around a small area of the bedroom without bumping into anything.
Ha take that technology. she thought happily to herself as she gave a small smile to herself in her success at moving about. The only thing to break the current mood would be if someone stepped in now as she was playing about......now that would be awkward.....

There was only one person who could have possibly walked in on the girl fiddling around with the left handed electric wheel-chair. And that would be the only other person who knew where she was. It was mid-afternoon-ish, and Ryu was headed up the stairs, having just gotten home from that damned school. He was in a bit of a... ...An interesting mood. It wasn't exactly happy. More...intrigued. He had just had a very short discussion with one Addie Balfour, and, consequently, ended up with a cook. He would teach her to fight, or as she put it 'help her get stronger', and she would cook for him. Little did she know just what she would be getting herself into. Depending on the events of the next several days, there could be many more mouths to feed than just Ryu.
Walking into the room without the forethought of knocking-- he decidedly wasn't used to living with any one--, he walked in on her in the middle of the south part of the room, moving around in small circles in the wheelchair. Thinking nothing of it, he simply went on about his business. His backpack came off of his left shoulder, "Do you know an Addie Balfour?" He asked Mitsukai, dropping the backpack on a chair near the outward corner that walled off the master closet. The girl was in hiding, more or less, so caution needed to be thrown to the wind before he up and brought someone to this place.

"Do you know an Addie Balfour?"
Mitsukai stopped what she was doing, nearly jumping in surprise when Ryu spoke. She didn't even here him come in. Shit....how long has he been here? she thought, trying her best to fight back the embarrassment she felt. Yeah like she stated before, it was awkward to have anyone pop in on her like that. Though if she thought about it it could be worse.
"No I don't." she answered his question. It was not very surprising that Mitsukai did not know this Addie person. She was after all one of the loner types still, she still did not know a lot of the people in the school. "Why do you ask?"

Ryu nodded and avoided her question for a minute. Unzipping the Senpuu Uwagi, he stowed it on the hook just inside the door, and the emblem on its back glowed dully. It was more than content to be worn so often, now-a-days. It had been like when he first found the jacket in that store. Taking a breath as he walked out after checking on the security system, he thought about how to word this. "There's a girl at the school... Hell, there's several people... Who want me to teach them how to fight." He was slightly embarrassed to be telling this to someone. The fact itself was fine, but here, he felt like he was bragging when he didn't mean to, and his hand came up to scratch the side of his head in reaction.
"Being that you're in the situation you're in," Not talking about the injuries, and being sensitive to her emotional state what with the connotations of betrayal, "I needed to ask you if you knew them before I brought them here." Then he realized, she didn't even know about the training area upstairs. "There's a massive training room on the third floor, I don't remember if I've told you or not, and that is where you and I are going to be training after you recover." And here comes the embarrassment again. "So.. it seems that I've attracted several people. And in order to teach them with any sort of regularity, them coming here would be best."
Looking up at the girl again whilst sitting down on the corner of his-- hers at the moment-- bed, "That Addie girl is one. Another is a girl named Devon, and the last is a tall guy, Gilgamesh. Either of their names ring any bells?" His right hand rose to about chest height to indicate the crazy girls height, then rose to a distance above his head to accurately describe the big man who had asked Ryu to teach him quite some time ago.

Mitsukai listened to Ryu's reasoning. So this Addie girl along with two others were going to be training in this place. That was interesting. At least he was considerate enough to ask her first if it was okay, after all she was in hiding and it would be bad to bring someone that knew her too well into the place.
"The only one I know is Gilgamesh." she stated when he gave her the names. "Though not very well, I only talked to him for a short time...though I have trained with him once." she recalled the three way battle she had back when she was training under Gabriel where she and Kevala had ganged up on the poor man when he had his back turned.....honestly he was not that smart to get distracted when given clear instructions to attack at will. Maybe he had shapened up this time around......maybe.
"It's fine if they come here when I can actually move." she said, hell if any of them decided to come after her for whatever reason by then she could at least defend herself. Though she of course doubted they'd do such a thing.

Ryu nodded semi absently. He had no idea how he was going to find the first and last on that list to tell them. Although, sooner or later, they were bound to 'follow the bodies' as Ryu had told Gilgamesh, and track the Evil Angel down. As for Devon, she was leaving the hospital soon, but he knew where to find her for now. Yeah, he wouldn't have to worry about them. "Then lets get you on your feet." He said in a kind tone, standing up and walking over to the girl with near silent footsteps. For such a big man, Ryu had the eerie ability to walk with almost no noise what so ever. Doubtless it was a side effect from his ninja days.
"How are you doing?" He'd say, crouching in front of the girl and putting a hand on her calf, feeling the level of swelling. It ought not to be bad. It had been a week since the surgery, and her scars would already be healing up nicely. She still needed constant bandages, as did her ribs, though the smaller fractures in them should be close to finish healing. The full breaks, however, were long off from healing. Another month yet. As would her arm, another month, that is. His hand would move up to the soft skin of her thigh and prod again for swelling and bruising.
Looking up at her, his gaze would flick back and forth between her golden cat eyes. Comparing them. Each eye on human beings was unique. They-- most of the time-- had the same color and what not, but there were always slight differences. Much like finger prints. Even in the iris alone they were unique, let alone the retina on the inside of the sight organ.

"How are you doing?"
Mitsukai couldn't help but blush a little as his eyes gazed up into hers as she felt his hand touched her leg. Though she had been getting pretty used to his touch now before and after the surgery there was times like this that she was thrown off a little.
"I am feeling a bit better now." she said, keeping her voice calm and level despite her feelings. She could feel herself getting lost in his eyes again as he looked at her. There was something about them that just drew her in and she did not know why.

Ryu scoffed a small chuckle at her words. "That doesn't say a whole lot, you know." Better compared to what? How she'd felt that morning? The day before? Last week? He should certainly hope she felt better than last week. Fresh injuries sure as hell ought to hurt worse than week old ones. Especially after they've been so thoroughly treated. His eyes fell from hers to look at the injured leg in its chair holster, brace, and bandage. He couldn't help but think on how much he'd done for this girl.
Some people would call him nuts. Some would call him a saint. He was neither... Well, he was nuts alright. Fuckin Psychotic. But that wasn't the point. The point was, he'd done all of this for her because he'd formed a bond with her. Even if it was a one sided one, which it was turning out to not be, at least now. In the beginning, she was an opponent. Someone he could torment and beat on, constantly driving her to attack him. Always pushing her, at every chance he got. It had only been a few instances, but they had brought him much enjoyment, especially for his psychosis. And now, he genuinely cared for this girl. She was his friend, at the least.
If it came down do it, he might just risk his life for her.
Standing up, he'd walk behind her and ask, "How long have you been sitting in that thing? Did you have any trouble getting into it?" The way he'd left it sitting next to the bed, she ought not to have, but that didn't mean any thing, especially considering she only had one arm to work with. After she'd answer, "Let's get you acquainted with the place, shall we?" Tour time. Yes he'd have to carry her up and down the stairs, especially since he wanted to keep a certain feature of the house a secret unless she truly needed a better mode of transport, but that wasn't the point. She needed to know the place she lived in.

"That doesn't say a whole lot, you know."
She just rolled her eyes at him, in a more playful matter then anything really serious. Hey what more could she had said anyway? There was not much that she could think of to say. She still after all could not really move about freely on her own.
"How long have you been sitting in that thing? Did you have any trouble getting into it?"
She shook her head in reply. "No it wasn't too hard even with one hand." she replied. Thankfully Ryu had positioned it well enough that even as limited in movement as she was she could still get on without much trouble.
"Let's get you acquainted with the place, shall we?"
She blinked up at him, they were going to tour the whole house now? Last time she saw beyond this room there was no real easy wheelchair access to the many floors of the house.
"You mean just this floor right?" Well she had to ask, she didn't know what to think if it he meant the whole place. It was already fairly big, not to mention the stairs. It would certainly be a handful to cover all at once.

Smiling, he laughed a bit at the girl. "No. Mostly I mean the ground floor." For all of its electronic controls, this particular wheelchair had a manual mode as well. Not for the one sitting in it, but it had handles to be led from behind. "This floor is very simple. It's all bedrooms, and three of them are the same thing over and over." He'd start leading her out of the master bedroom. She knew it well enough. After she'd been able to be moved... well, she'd certainly been to the bathroom in the past week.
"I'm not even going to try and take you upstairs until at least your ribs and arms are better, but the ground floor is simple enough, I'll just carry you down." She still had an arm to hang on. Just sit her on the stairs, carry the chair down, carry her down, and set her back in the chair. Simple.
Piloting her out of the master bedroom, he'd move across the hall. "This is the secondary room, for lack of a better term." He moved to open the door, then back to the chair behind her "When you're healed up enough that you won't need help at any given moment," Though to be honest, him being back at school was excuse enough to put her in the secondary room... He just liked her company. "This is where you'll live for as long as you like." It wasn't as grand as the master bedroom, but it was still quite spacious. One could probably contain a whole apartment in this room alone. Even the guest bedrooms could probably pass for one bedroom apartments.
It was simply decorated. A sort of brownish off white. A vanilla like color. The walls were all that color, much of the cloth in the room was similar, from the bed to the chairs. In a contrast, all of the wood in the room was a deep color-- Mahogany, almost--, except for the floor. It was a lighter tone of wood. All in all it was well put together, if very sparce and lacking in personal things. Better for it, though, as Mitsu could make things how she liked. Hell, she could have everything thrown out, repaint and refloor the place if she wanted. Ryu did have the means.

Mitsukai took a good look around the room that she would be staying in once she recovered. It was very spacious indeed, enough room that she did not know how she could fill up the space. It still amazed how much Ryu had done for her, from saving her life, to helping her to recover and now offering her a place to stay. All while asking nothing for her in return. It was a bit confusing but at the same time happy that he actually cared enough to do this for her.
"Why are you doing this?" she asked. It was all so much and she did not know exactly what or how to think about all this. They had been rivals before so why did he care so much to do this for her?

Ryu knew what she meant, but reluctant to go back on the somberness of that topic, he said "Because you need to know the place you live in?" with a slight 'duh' inflection. With that, though, he stopped wheeling her into the room and sort of leaned down on the chair so that it wouldn't move. Glancing around the room a bit, then down at the girl, admiring her soft hair "I told you. I formed a connection with you." His tone grew somber, and the volume had decreased slightly. "A connection that has changed a great deal in a very short time."
Leaning off of the chair again, he wheeled her across the room diagonally, heading toward the back left, toward the closet door. "At first, you were nothing to me, just another stepping stone. But after that, you became someone who I wanted to fight. Even though I was the one who always beat you, I looked forward to your attempts." Opening the door and wheeling her inside, "This is the closet." He'd let her look around it a little before speaking again. "It was a bit of a power trip. I enjoyed tormenting you." He'd wheel her out after that, there wasn't much in the closet, and head across the room to the secondary bath. "When I found you on the street, I didn't want to lose someone who hated me so much. It sounds odd, I know, but I wanted you to continue fighting me. To continue hating my guts, and being driven to attack me. That's why I egged you on. It was fun." And now into the bathroom. It was pretty much the same size as the closet. ran the length of the room, with less than half of the width. "This is the bathroom, obviously."
Again, a minute of letting her look around before speaking again. "Now, though, I see you as a friend." A little more than that, buuut let's leave that out for now, eh? "I'm sorry for all the crap I put you through and now, as my friend, I'm going to take care of you as long as you need or want my help. That's how I treat friendship, as lame as it might sound."

"Because you need to know the place you live in?"
Naturally that was the first response to such a random and awkward question. No surprises there that that was the answer. Though afterwards as he showed her around he took the question seriously, revealing the true answer.
It was funny in a way how things worked out in the end. At first he saw her almost as a play thing in a twisted sort of way, intending to keep her around so she would continue to fight him, but now?
"Thank you......for everything..." she said softly. And she really meant it. It had been so long since someone would actually do something like this for her. Before coming here, after her parents death Mitsukai saw the world as a cold and vicious place where everyone was only out for themselves. The only real motive in helping others was to advance themselves in this dog eat dog world. But since coming to this high school things had changed, a lot. And now she was rediscovering what it meant to be happy, what it meant to be kind. Funny how the world worked eh?

Ryu couldn't help but smile at the girl, though she couldn't see it. A slight laughing scoff sounded as he turned her out of the bathroom, and headed out of the Secondary Bedroom. "You've already said that." She had, the first day. He stopped just outside the door and turned around to close it, "And I've already said this," Turning back around, he leaned down over the back of the chair so that his head was closer to hers. "Don't worry about it." He'd say in a voice as soft as hers had been. He wanted to keep the bond with her, so he patched her up. Then he formed a greater attachment to her, so he continued to look after her, even got her a doctor. And he was going to need a house eventually any way, so this place wasn't that big a deal.
"You are my friend and things such as 'friends' and 'enemies' have a whole different level of meaning for me than they do other people." The now gentle man was still leaned in close to her, he could smell her hair every time he breathed in. Ryu had to admit that it was pleasant at the very least. "So don't worry about anything, okay?" He leaned up then, and began walking down the hall with her, heading toward the row of guest bedrooms. "Not while I'm alive."

Mitsukai's heart rate quickened slightly from the close contact with Ryu, the feeling of his breath against her sending a small tingle down her spin. Though not in fear of course, though normally when she had such a reaction to anyone it normally was out of fear to some degree. She couldn't help but wonder why that was not the case here. But she could not place the emotion that she was feeling now. Mitsukai would have to change the subject somehow before things became even more awkward.
"So where to next?" She would ask. It wasn't perfect but it was a good enough diversion. Hopefully Ryu would not catch on to anything.....hopefully <.<
